Terrible service, rude. Left after 7 mins. Did not feel welcomed. Why would we spend our money where it’s not wanted! I am not the type to leave bad reviews but this was unacceptable.

I’ve seen this place decline over the last year. I am not one to give bad reviews as everyone can have a bad day. But reading other reviews has confirmed what I found the last 2 times visiting. The hostess was down right rude. It was a Tuesday eve & the place was not busy. My friend & I requested to sit in a middle table away from being butt up against a ½ empty sushi bar. She tried to discourage us saying that it may get busier. We offered to move if the place packed out(not likely at 730 on a Tuesday). She proceeded to bang around the tables & slam the water cups & utensils in front of us(visibly annoyed). When we asked for the manager she indignantly said there was no one else to speak with. We decided to leave & go to Tokyo house. I would have given lower stars but the wait staff and food has been good in the past. The hostess is NOT with the mostest.

Let me just start by saying their food is outstanding really. I love the food here very good very fresh the sushi is fresh and everything else is great. The only reason their not getting the last star is because of the staff their not very friendly and seem to get annoyed when you keep ordering. Me and my bf always make sure we finish everything but they cut us off today they told us the kitchen stops making food at 930 when people were showing up so we knew they were lying. If it’s 20 $ for all you can eat you should be able to order as much as you’d like as long as your finishing what your ordering. Other then those things their a nice place

NOSTARS. STAYAWAY. GOTOYUMMYYUMMY instead for all you can eat. Below average sushi. Also as the night goes on the rice-to-fish proportion shifts dramatically in favor of the rice. That is, if they actually deliver the fish you ordered. Not one order was right. But wait, there’s more: The spicy girl roll was disgusting(I suspect bad fish). So I didn’t eat it. When I asked if this would be a problem as this goes against one of the all-you-can-eat rules, the waitress insisted we would have to pay the al-la-carte price. She said if I don’t eat it, I would have to speak to the owner to get the charges waived. I jumped at the chance. Though, I had to wait 10 min before the waitress informed me I would have to find the owner. Seemed strange, but okay. So I scoured the restaurant asking around. You would think they would want to rectify the problem as quickly and quietly as possible. As might be expected, no owner(or manager) could be found. The level of incompetency peaked. So I had a less than friendly conversation with another waiter who took over managing our check. Long story short, I was able to walk away paying for the meal sans the mandatory 18% gratuity(for parties 5 an up) mainly because I refused to pay. Horrible service and small portions that get smaller over time, mediocre sushi. It’s no Nobu sure, but I shouldn’t have to argue with the staff about rotten fish. Good luck Unilocalers.

Heard great things about this place… went for all you can eat sushi… not many selections. The sushi was not presented that nicely and I wasn’t crazy about it. I also felt like the service was overbearing and almost like they were rushing us to finish our meal. Plenty of other much better sushi places around. Wouldn’t recommend it.

What in the world is there to complain about? You hang out, crush sushi and leave happy. People need to rethink what they expect, because for $ 20 we feel like we’ve found the best kept secret and keep coming back! Try it, enjoy it and love it for what it is. Chinese and sushi where you can enjoy good company(presuming your spouse is as cool as mine) and feast like kings and queens!!!

$ 20 all you can order. Come on, guys, this is not Nobu here. $ 20 will get you two pieces of sushi, here you get unlimited Japanese and Chinese food as long as you don’t abuse it. People who complain about the size of the sushi. Give me a break, you really expect to get huge size sashimi for $ 20? Just sit back and enjoy the best $ 20 you will ever spend on a meal!

Just ok Asian food, very poor service. Pay $ 20 for all you can eat. Japanese and Chinese. Some dishes cost extra. They forgot my soup and I had to reorder and each everyone else eat theirs. Sushi orders take forever but they should have told me as I once again had to each others eat while waiting for my order. If you want quantity over quality and are patient, enjoy. Otherwise, find someplace else.

The restaurant itself was really nice. Great atmosphere, and the servers were polite. Sushi was pretty good, but it fell apart a lot. Not that it couldn’t be eaten I’m just used to my sushi staying together. Ordered a soup combo and well… that didn’t go too well. The soup was really oily which I don’t believe I’ve ever had before when I’ve had a combination soup. I ate some of it, but didn’t finish it. Ordered shrimp with broccoli which turned out pretty well. There wasn’t any wow factor unfortunately. Downside to the overall experience was the fact that we left food. The person I was with ordered a plate that he felt wasn’t good. Because he didn’t eat it, the waitress was going to charge us for leaving food. Granted yes, they state not to waste food but if the food is not good it won’t be eaten. Because the manager wasn’t present, he wasn’t going to be charged… but honestly if the food wasn’t good, it wasn’t good.

Wonderful sushi. The flavors are fresh. I had ginger salad. They put slivers of fresh mango it it. Nice. The menu is a little limited, but enough for me.

Wow — this might be all around the worst restaurant that I have ever dined at — definitely in the top 5. This place is definitely not a deal considering that the food was horrible and the service was ridiculously bad. Sorry, this is my longest review but it’s so bad! So let’s talk about the service first: we were seated immediately, but then we sat there for about 15 minutes without anyone coming over. I had a question about something that was pictured and looked good. The waiter told me it was pan fried noodles(listed no where near the pan fried noodles)…then another person at the table ordered. He took one order, switched over to my boyfriend and when he accidentally asked he same question that I had asked about the noodles, the waiter got angry and said«I already said pan fried noodles!» and then walked away without taking the orders for the other 3 people at the table. Then he went out for a cigarette and came back(short fuse)? Then he came back to take the order and when I said what I wanted he said«That’s all? Very good. Want something more? No. Good.»…in a very rude way as I wasn’t answering in between. He basically never came back to our table. So on to the food — they really stress the part about not finishing your food and getting charged for an extra meal. I’ve been to these places before so I was pretty cautious in ordering too much. I told my boyfriend to do the same, but my brother and his wife were not so smart and gagged in trying to finish their food. No, not because they were full but because it was HORRIBLE. Between the oil in the sushi on the tempura and the amount of salt that was added to everything, it was literally hard to eat! Appetizers(brought out after all entrees): — Crab Rangoon: Two of us got really hot and delicious pieces. Too bad the other two people got pieces that had FROZENCREAMCHEESE oozing out upon biting. Guess they didn’t heat up the frozen food too well. Fail. — Avocado Salad: Never got to taste it when we asked the waiter for it he said«oh we ran out a while ago» so my boyfriend said, «ok, you didn’t think to tell me?» and he said«no we are too busy for that, we can’t come back and tell everyone when things run out». OK. Fail #2. –Salmon Tartar: WAAAAY too much crunch in this and super soggy with a sauce. Basically crunch with a tiny bit of salmon and soaked in sauce. Gross. –Tuna Tartar: Decent at best. Lots of wasabi. Better than the other items. –Spring Rolls: Burnt and SOAKED in oil, came at the end of the meal(kind of around where dessert would have been) Entrees: Chef’s Delight: Should have had shrimp, scallops and chicken with vegetables. What did we get? 1PIECEOFSHRIMPINTHEWHOLEDISH, 1PIECEOFSCALLOPINTHEWHOLEDISH. The chicken was way overcooked and super hard — think cardboard chicken. The flavor was definitely from a bottle. Special Rolls: Snow White: ok if you like honey on your non existent scallops and a lot of rice. Not the worst roll, it was ok. Spiderman Roll: decent roll but VERY salty and VERY oily(yes, it’s soft shell crab, i know…) Long Beach Roll, Spicy Girl and something with mango — disgusting. Minimal fish — see picture that I posted. Literally the salmon and tuna that should have been on the roll was smaller than the size of my pinky nail. Super small. Minuscule pieces of fish? No thank you. None of the rolls were impressive, none look like the pictures and they were flat out a bunch of salty rice that no one can finish without a real effort. My brother GAGGED while trying to finish his food. As an afterthought, an appetizer that we forgot, spring rolls, came out when we were done. Burnt and coated in oil of course. To add insult to injury, the restaurant clearly states that they add an 18% gratuity for parties of 5 or more… well they also add 15% for parties of 4 or more. I guess they know that without this automatic addition that there would be no tips. This used to be a great place before it became all you can eat and the décor from the old, classy establishment is still there but other than that this place is TERRIBLE. I don’t understand all of the good reviews. ***Even a couple at the table next to us left very upset — they were there before us and when we were almost done the husband asked where his fish was. The waiter said«oh we ran out of that» and walked away. THEREISONEWAITER and ONEBUSBOY… but is that the diner’s fault? They never asked if he wanted anything else so finally he got up to the pay the bill and there must have been some problem because the waiter threw the bill holder back into the pile with anger. I get that he’s working hard an overwhelmed but those bursts of anger are crazy.*** After we were fully salted and our throats were covered in oil and disgusting fish taste, we left and got ice cream to clean off. Having to clean your palate off after a meal is NEVER a good sign. I would never return for this restaurant for any price.

The first time I was here, I tasted a little bit of everything that the other guests in my party ordered. Unfortunately, on this visit, I ate a variety of rolls that I selected, and while they were all«okay», none were terrific. The«specialty» rolls were skimpy and bland. Stick to the various appetizers and Chinese dishes for your best dining experience.

If you go for anything but sushi the $ 20 all you can eat might be desirable. Just very disappointing that I went for sushi to found out it was an all you can eat. Then I realized it was more like a buffet with waitresses. Will not be returning! Which is a shame because it’s an nice looking place.

Two members of our party were ill after eating here, which was very unfortunate. Both ate chicken dishes(the other two of us, who ate no chicken, did not get ill). That’s enough for me to be uncomfortable returning. Food was decent however, especially for an all you can eat restaurant. Sushi was better than cooked food, though it had rather a lot of spicy mayo for my tastes. I thought the tuna was quite good.

Visit Date: September 13, 2014 and September 19, 2014 I came here with my family because they wanted to take hubby and I out for our anniversary. I loved it so much I came back with my sushi eating best friend/sister. My one piece of caution which is why they get 4 stars instead of 5 is to stay away from the sesame chicken. When my family ordered it, the chicken was hard as a rock and everyone sent it back. My husband picked it up with his fork and let it drop on his plate and when it dropped on his plate you could hear a clunk. I think if he decided to throw it across the room it could have broken a window or hit someone else in the head. Besides the sesame chicken(which I didn’t eat because I am a vegetarian) everything else was terrific. The vegetarian sushi is delicious and fresh, the crab meat rangoons(my guilty little vegetarian secret) were the best I’ve tasted so far(and I’ve eaten a lot of those), the pad thai was awesome, the cold sesame noodles were great, the scallion pancakes were deliciously greasy which is what I sometimes love! The restaurant is all you can eat. It’s not a buffet because when you go in you are seated at a table and you look at the menu and tell the waiter what you want. Anything you want to eat is bought to you from the menu. You can eat whatever you want off the menu and order as many portions as you want for $ 19.95(dinner) and I think roughly $ 11 for lunch. You also have a two hour time limit. Everything is bought to you freshly made based on your order which makes this place so much better than your classic grungy food behind a sneeze guard Chinese buffet. Be careful because whatever you can’t eat you might be charged for. My suggestion on how to work this place is to order the majority of what you know you can eat at one time because it does take awhile sometimes for someone to come and take your order if it’s busy. Definitely so much better than a buffet I’m sure I will be back again! It’s a great deal if you can eat because you can probably put away more than $ 20 worth of food.

AYCE=ALLYOUCANEAT! So you walk into a restaurant and they offer you AYCE for $ 19.95 with a 2 hour limit. This was my experience tonight at Wok n Roll! Literally you can order as much as your little heart desires. We ordered Crab Wontons, Honey BBQ Wings, Honey Ribs, 2 sushi rolls, 2 Honey Walnut Chicken and Shrimp(entrée), Shrimp and Lobster Sauce(entrée), Chicken and Cashew nut(entrée), Schezuan Chicken(entrée). Mind you it was only two of us but we were determined to try as much food as possible. The reason why I took off 2 stars is because they might charge you if you do not finish your meal. I didn’t really like this because what if I don’t like a particular dish and wanted to order something different? On the front of the menu they literally WARN you that you might be charged if you«waste food.» Besides that minor complaint, our waiter was attentive. There was a bit of a language barrier but he got the job done! Let me just add that the $ 19.95 does not include drinks, tax or tip so just be mindful of that! All in all it was a cool experience and I’d definitely grab some AYCE at Wok n Roll again!

I’ll preface this by saying I have never had GREAT sushi at an All-U-Can-Eat type place. Probably never will… but I’ll keep searching. That being said, the sushi isn’t bad. From a deal standpoint, Wok & Roll can not be beat. The ENTIRE menu is All-U-Can Eat. And to be honest I think the Chinese food was better than the Japanese. Egg Drop Soup was very tasty. Crab Rangoon & Chicken Satay appetizers were good. Garlic Beef and string beans was good, as were the Scallops with vegetables. Tried about 5 different specialty sushi rolls… nothing to write home about. I mean they were pretty good, but the problem I have with so many mediocre sushi places is that there is little to no distinction between one special roll to the next. Sometimes the fish is pureed so fine you cant even tell which fish is which. If your goal is to fill up on whatever type of sushi they bring out, this place is great. But if you’re really into the different flavors of different fish, their rolls fall flat. Venue itself is nice. Service was spotty. my girlfriend asked for a Kani salad, never received it, and then asked for a side of Sriracha, never received it… He did make sure our drinks were never empty though. Bottom line is for $ 20 each, the two of us had soup, appetizers, entrees, and 5 sushi rolls. The 4 Stars, in this case, represent the fact that you can totally stuff your face with decent food and not break the bank. As far as the sushi, as with everything else in life, you get what you pay for.
