I love me some chili cheese dogs… but when i show up 15 minutes before the signs say you are supposed to be closed and you shut the lights off on me and say your closed… ya you vicky remember me… i was just trying to feed the ten people at the house… no biggie… i sure hope the manager i talk to today when i go in has atleast some customer service common sense … or… well i guess i just never get to eat at this establishment ever again… heres to hoping… or taci bell… see you soon

You really can’t go wrong with a hot dog and for the price the quality isn’t that bad. It’s never really packed here like McDonald’s and because of that you get your food quick. I like how you can upgrade to an all beef dog and upgrade to a pretzel bun. They have new dogs like the Loaded Street, Ranch dog and a few more. The customer service is always good when I come here which I’m surprised because it’s a fast food spot. I haven’t tried the shakes yet but it’s coming because the pictures look pretty good. Also there are a few tables where you can eat your dogs.

By far the best location I’ve been to. The one on coast highway is disgusting, but this one is amazing. Always fresh, always friendly, and never under cooked. Even if this one is farther away it is a much better choice than the coast highway location.

This place is just like I remember them, quick and delicious. Walked up to the triangle building greeted by super friendly staff, minus their love for cheese, and they got my order correct the first time. If you know me everything is special ordered. Must say their food was spot on what the doctor ordered topped off with NEW seasoned curly chili fries its even better then before.

I guess, as a SoCal native since ’65, Der Wienerschnitzel (yes, please note the «Der») is in my blood. Oh, there were years I strayed — chasing after those winking fast-​food Jezebels that wanted me to «have it my way» — but in the end, I’ve come back to the Big DW.
Seriously, Wienerschitzel serves great fast food that’s made when you order it by folks who actually seem to like their customers, at a price that’s at least as reasonable as Mickey D’s (and maybe a little moreso). Where else can you go and get a Chili Dog, or a Kraut Dog swimming in mustard and sauerkraut, or a Polish Dog thick with cheese and onions? And their hamburgers are really good, too; both the sliders and the full-​on burgers with produce. And I don’t think you can get a chili-​cheeseburger anywhere else aside from some froo-​froo $ 12 restaurant burger.
The staff here is really cool and will make your food any way you want. There’s no double cheeseburger on the menu, but they’ll gladly pile on an extra patty (or two) if you ask. No onions? No problem. Want dill pickles on your hot dog? Sure. Cheap to feed the kids, too — look for the family packs that are amazingly cheap.
Like most DWs, there is no indoor seating — eat in your car, or sit at one of the outdoor tables. This is one of two DWs in Oceanside. If you’re downtown, check out the 1966 original store on North Hill — excuse me, North Coast Highway, for all you noobs ;)

I would eat a slipper if it had chili & cheese on it. With that being said, how could I NOT give Wienerschnitzel 5 stars? Seriously though, I’ve never had anything here that I didn’t love. Nom nom nom nom nom

Now I know why I don’t eat chili dogs!!!
This was the only place to grab a quick bite as my car was getting washed.
Walk up window and I ordered a reg chili dog and a side of fries. The one star is for the customer service and the fresh fries that were made to order.
The chili dog was bland and watery. Didn’t care for it…

I’ve gone here several times, but this is based just on a recent try of the fish & chips.
Fish came in 2 long, very slender fillets (bigger than fish sticks) and while they were oily, tasted fresh and light. Tartar sauce looked like a mayo-​mustard-​relish mix and did okay with the fish, with a bit of tartness in it. Fries were hot and a bit soggy but good and we finished this up with a small vanilla cone from the Tastee Freez machine, which is always cold, creamy and just good tasting. I’ll take it over most similar menu items elsewhere.

Wienerschnitzel is always mentioned when it comes to good hot dogs in San Diego County. I can’t agree – their hot dogs are just average — their corn dogs are good but they are half the size of Hot Dog On A Stick and don’t taste near as good. And if I am going to eat corn dogs from a restaurant I think I will go to Hot Dog on a Stick and have some of their yummy lemonade elixer with it. They do have a good 3 for $ 3.33 special sometimes. A chilli dog, chilli fries, and a chilli burger for $ 3.33. Good Ice cream too. I will stick with HDOAS for corn dogs but for everything else, Wienerschnitzel is ok.

Every fast food drive through is practically the same, this location is no different! What is nice about this location is that its super easy to get to and its fast and convenient!
The guy who was working the drive through this day I was there was fast and got the order right the first time and I didn’t have to keep repeating over and over again what I wanted. I even asked him for a cup for extra ice and with no hesitation he got it and even asked if Id like a free drink… I only wanted the ice so I simply said no thanks but yeah if you ever want good service and fast service drive through here!
