5 stars cuz it a great place! Gotta go when Bartender Robbie(I think his name is) there. He keeps the place rock’in and vibe awesome! They have that wonderful internet jukebox they keep cranked with good rock n roll. The waitresses need some help but they’re nice. We Just moved in to area and went to all the«trendy» places first and all were… well, full of high priced«try to be different» menus and all disappointed. PCH does«Bar Food» justice. Kudos to those hard working cooks. The weekly beer and food specials are great on your budget and large portions. Thanks PCH for keepin My picky butt happy

Great local place. Scott is the best, he knows all the feature beers and is very attentive. From burgers to pull pork to wings and more the best of bar food. The PCH burger is a must.

Kind of a hidden gem. Some outstanding beers make it a frequent check in to see what’s new. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The kitchen turns out decent bar food too but that isn’t the real draw here. Plenty of TVs for sports and patrons are fun to catch a game with. Parking can be a real drag.

Local Fav for some seriously Delish Grub!!! Burgers are killer(tried one with PB and Boy howdy!!!) anything with the pork is a home run! On a cold day try the tortilla soup, You won’t be disappointed. Beers on tap are always rotating so you have a great selection to chose from. It’s divey so if you like your nose in the air go elsewhere but know you are missing out!

Only have drinks here. However, this is a really fun place to hang out with your friends! Nice, warm atmosphere. Not a fan of having to pay to play pool, but as I said, the drinks were delicious and with a wide variety of craft beers to choose from. The staff is also extremely welcoming, friendly, and dedicated to helping you find a drink that suits you rather than making you take whatever the first taste you have is. Would definitely come here next time I’m in town!

I love supporting local flavor! PCH is a classic hometown spot. A nice place to stop for some classic pub grub– burgers, wings, beer. Not the widest selection of beers on tap, but they do have the local classics– typically stone and ballast point as well as the occasional cider or porter. Close to the beach, walking distance from some local stores and thrift shops, not far from the pier and the Oceanside Regal Movie theater. The place looks a little divey at first, but is truly a family friendly spot. Free pool table, jukebox, several TV’s, so you’ll never miss a game. There kids menu is fantastic, and they even have a pretty descent breakfast menu! The PCH Breakfast Bowl is the most amazing thing I think I’ve ever eaten! Crispy home fries, eggs, bacon, salsa and homemade sausage gravy! Mind blowing! Not to mention they are big supporters of local community events, businesses and sports teams– namely the Hidden City Derby Girls female roller derby league! Though PCH is certainly local-oriented, due to their hearty, homemade food, relaxed atmospherics, and friendly staff, it doesn’t take long for anyone who steps inside to feel like a local themselves.

Ordered wings and beer. Waitress couldn’t recommend a beer… fail. Food was good, basic wings nothing to sing about. Kids sliders were the same. Ticket was wrong, service slow, food forgotten. Leave it to the locals go elsewhere

JALAPEÑOBURGERS!!! So amazing! Love the freshest herbs and juiciest meat ever! Crispy French fries and a cold ipa. Sold. We found this place walking around this quaint lil stretch on the 101, shortly before going a block and a half down to the beach. Walked past a couple spots on that same block, but just couldn’t find where the mouth watering, fresh cooked scent was coming from. My husband decided to walk into the first spot he saw on the street. Think it was called bull taco. Being the trusting wife that I am, I followed right behind. As soon as we walked in we walked out. Forget bull taco. No greet, no help with the menu, no thanks. As soon as we got inside we were greeted by three employees and one very funny bar fly. Took a seat at the back booth by the juke box and the pool table, and before I got in my seat I was asked what I’d like to drink. That’s some great service if you ask me. Coca cola for me, two waters with lids for my kids and an Ice Cold IPA for my husband came back to us so fast. We laughed at the fact that we were served our drinks and sat in less time than it took to be greeted at the first place(bull taco). My husband is somewhat of a self proclaimed«jalapeño burger connoisseur» and once he opened the menu and saw that they had one, he closed the menu and ordered for the both of us on spot. While waiting for our food we decided to play a little pool. It was free on this day. So nice! We got through about a quarter of our game as we watched our monstrous burgers carried past us onto our tables. So quick! The best food! The best service! And the best spot on this block! PCH saved our lives!

Cool little bar that serves food. Wait staff is awesome, definitely a locals place but also good for tourists given its proximity to the beach. Highlights: * free pool table most of the time * good for kids – seriously good kids’ menu(good selection, good price) and staff is very friendly to kids * Cuban sandwich – you’d never guess, but this is the BEST sandwich(and perhaps item) on the menu * wings, especially on Wednesday * great staff Cons: * a bit small, so it can be full/loud when busy * parking lot is small; much better to park on the street beside or behind * it’s still a bar, so if you eat here and have digestive issues… you might not love this place * beer rotations can sometimes be uneven – while they usually have something for everyone, sometimes the beer list can be IPA-heavy, with few choices for stouts, porters, ciders, or non-hoppy other styles of beer

We liked it! The bartender was great, the food was great, and the beer was wonderful. We tried different types. The shrimp po boy and sliders were great! Very low key place that isn’t too loud early in the evening. Check it out!

This place exceeded all my expectations! Everything we ordered was excellent and the service was great! We need a place like this where I live! I ordered the cuban… wow — I was sad that I couldn’t finish it but I did take it home and finished it later! My husband ordered a burger and although it wasn’t as good as my cuban it was still so awesome! My son ordered the chicken fingers and that did not disappoint either. We also ordered the quesadilla as an appetizer… awesome! Everything was great, great, great! I don’t think I’ve ever given a better review!

The atmosphere of this place makes you feel right at home or if you’re a «out of towner» you’ll feel like a local. Great selection of beers on tap and the regular domestics by bottles. Did not try the food during my visit but I was tempted to sample to try anything from the other tables. There is a pool table and board games for entertainment. Jukebox to shake your booty and good conversation from bar patrons. This was my first time here and certainly not my last!

This is a nice little bar tucked away off Coast Highway in Oceanside. Their front parking lot is extremely small so you may have to park around the block and walk up. When we walked in it was pretty empty so we were able to grab a seat right away. Our waiter was extremely friendly and greeted us right away. They didn’t have a beer menu so the waiter had to let us know what they had on tap. They had a lot of good options on the menu so it was a little hard to decide what to get. Ended up getting the fish tacos and the highway to hell chicken sandwich. The fish tacos were pretty good and I like that they had a small spicy kick to them. The cabbage was nice and crisp and the spice sour cream added some extra flavor to it. The highway to hell chicken sandwich was good. It had just enough wing sauce on it so it wasn’t too spicy and the jalapeño slices and crispy fried onions were a nice touch. The chicken was cooked really well and it came with sweet potato fries. Overall a nice little place and will totally come back to have another pint of beer and some food.

Looking for a great dive bar with tasty eats, pool and weeknight and weekend events? PCH has a bit of everything, plus it’s one of the best dive bars in San Diego county. It serves a large selection of craft beer, and has a small kitchen that always delivers! You’ll find PCH bar and grill in Oceanside on the West side of Coast Highway, within easy biking distance of Carlsbad Village. It’s a must-stop for us when we hop on the bikes and cruise North! My favorites: –Highway to Hell Chicken Sandwich –Chicharrones –Turkey Double D –Pretty much everything for breakfast Whether you’re a dive bar or beer aficionado, or you’re just hung over and looking for good food in a place without judgement, check out PCH for good people, drinks and food! ;)

Yay! I’m a fan. Wednesday nights are the best. Wings half priced, how can you beat that? Plus, they let me order a batch to go at the same half priced option. SCORE! I opted for buffalo because I love me some heat, but the waiter quickly corrected me and told me to order their Teri-Buffa-Que wings(teriyaki, buffalo, and bbq sauce mixture). and boy was that the best switch I could have made. They were delicious! I still got my heat, mixed with a slightly sweet smokey flavor. Order it, you will not be disappointed. The ranch– The previous reviews are right– there is something about the ranch dressing that is amazingly better than anywhere else. Can’t get enough!!! My husband ordered the PCH burger with fries(fries I had to steal because they are yummy) — and the burger. oh man. the burger is amazing. It was HUGE. Stacked tall, not sure how to fit in your mouth, so I cut a little slice up to try it. The onion rings on the burger slapped with their PCH sauce does the trick. It makes the burger, and I recommend it if you are craving a hamburger. The flavors of the meat are delicious, and all toppings are fresh. The bun is moist and cheese melts in your mouth. They have a pool table– if you can wrestle the oceanside locals for it, you might have a chance. Dart board too! LOTS of TV’s so come when your favorite sports team is playing! Whats my reason for 4 stars? Well– cleanliness. To be honest, It’s more of a bar than a restaurant so I get it, but the table we sat at wasn’t clean. Service was AWESOME as they came and fixed the problem. Parking– nice try. Unless you come on an off night, it is difficult to park in the lot. Try street parking, or behind the restaurant if you can. I’ll definitely be back.

I absolutely love PCH!!! It’s one of the best if not THEEBEST local spots in Oceanside. The food is amazing here! The cooks really know how to get down in the kitchen. Their PCH burger is too good and it’s huge-definitely one to share unless you have a big appetite. Everything about it is amazing. On Wednesdays they have a wing special-50 cents per wing-can’t beat that. The wings are pretty much the best wings in town if you ask me. They’re flavorful, meaty, juicy and just plain BOMB! Do yourself a favor and order their Teri-buffa-cue wings… you’ll know why! Oh and their ranch is hands down the BESTRANCHEVER! Everything on the menu is delicious and their prices are reasonable too. They have a ton of beers on tap and their bottled beers are perfectly chilled. Ask the bartenders on any beer recommendations and trust them! Carlos is an awesome bartender, he definitely makes you feel right at home. The food, the beer, the people and the staff make PCH an awesome go to spot in Oceanside. I’ll be back!!!

Yes, I do love this place. Its a tie between here and That Boy Good for my favorite dine ins for the area on my beach day. Today’s late lunch was here, and I had a 7 oz craft beer, slider and fries for 8 bucks. It was worth it, because I didn’t want to get one of the big burgers but if you are in the mood to try it for lunch its so worth it. The sauce alone on the burger was good. My friend got the chicken salad and it was huge and delicious. The service was good, and you can walk here from the beach. I am a repeat, happy customer. Can’t wait to try the breakfast according to the the good reviews I am reading. They just recently started that… I am excited! Just one suggestion is I wish they would bring the lunch specials back, don’t understand why they took them away?

This is a hidden gem dive bar of Oceanside. You definitely get mostly locals that come here, but it is welcome to all. They have beer specials weekly as they feature new beers that people should try. They have the normal beer if you are feeling too faded off of the stronger, heavier stuff. They do not have any alcohol(besides potato vodka stuff), but you can go to the bar across the street to get a shot and come right back to your cold beer. The food here is really good. My favorite is definitely the PCH Burger. See pictures of this thing and you will be amazed. Their PCH sauce goes perfectly on this burger. They also have weekly specials that you should check out. They have a taco Tuesday and a wing Wednesday. They have a lot of TVs to watch games here on any day. I think they close at midnight which will give you time to hit up another spot close by to polish off the night. It can be a rough crowd here at times, but it adds to the character. Bartenders are amazing and down to earth. I have known Carlos for many years and he will always treat you right. They have a good knowledge of beers that are best tasting and most popular. Stop by here for a beer and burger on any day of the week and you will not be disappointed. Expect some F bombs. You can also bring kids here and sit with them at the tables. They also have one pool table and two bathrooms as well as a jukebox.

Have you ever eaten something that you later dreamt about, because it was just so damn good? That’s how I feel about PCH breakfast burritos. My husband and I moved in a block away, and were recommended by a neighbor to try the burritos at PCH — he insisted we wouldn’t regret it. Fast-forward a year later, and I still haven’t gotten sick of ‘em. There’s something so satisfying about eggs, crispy bacon, french fries, sour cream, and pico de gallo, all wrapped in a warm, seasoned tortilla. This burrito is a lifesaver on a Saturday or Sunday morning after one too many pints the night before. Their house salsa is pretty epic, too. I encouraged my coworkers to explore their menu, and now they’re all hooked too. All the food is good — some of the wraps(when you take them to go) can get a little wet and messy, so I’d recommend asking for the sauce or dressing on the side. The atmosphere in PCH is comfortable, with ample seating. You can bring the family too — there are booths as well as tables. You can’t really go wrong with beer, so I’ll just leave my opinion regarding the booze at that. Their Bloody Mary’s are tasty too. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
