I’ve been living in Oceanside for 7 years and struggled to find a good Mexican food place. I am very picky about Mexican food since, being Mexican, I grew up eating authentic Mexican food at home. I’m so happy I found this place! My go to is always rolled tacos and they are very good. My husband had tried a few of the items on the menu and he’s liked everything. The girl at the front is friendly so that’s always a good thing too.

If you’re looking for authentic family owned Mexican food, this is the place. I personally had tacos with carne asada and carnitas and the flavors were spot on. It’s a little hole-​in-​the-​wall place that is very unassuming, but well worth stopping in at.

Ate there 2 times this week. Waitress /​cashier (Didn’t Catch her name) honestly she was awesome .she messed up. on my order the first night but she apologize and made my dinner much better :) And this morning she remember me n my husband and went above n beyond ! Amazing restaurant, there food is delicious especially the California burrito and Shrimp cocktail, i always go for that with my daughter! The owner is very nice. Also the restaurant is always clean!

Great Mexican food! Very nice owners and clean restaurant. All of their items are very good. This a true Mexican food gem and we have tried them all. They use quality ingredients and the flavor is awesome. My wife and I are regulars since we found it!

Came here by accident looking for another taco spot, should’ve trusted my gut when I felt the 90% humidity inside hit me. Ordered 1 shrimp quesadilla, 2 chicken tacos, and a carne Assad quesadilla. The «shrimp» quesadilla had about 1 — 2 insanely small pieces of shrimp in each slice, the rest was flour tortilla and melted cheese. 6.50 for cheese and flour. Chicken tacos were dry and lame, and the carne Asada quesadilla had a slice with nothing in it. If the one cook back there was serving this to his kid when they asked for a shrimp quesadilla, what would they think? Then ask why would you serve this to a paying customer? Because he doesn’t care at all. You don’t just not see that while you’re making it. Dirtbag. This place is gross and I hope it fails more honestly.

Mediocre food. Ordered camarones al diabla, carnitas, menudo, and steak ranchero. Beans tasted as if they were from a can. Flour tortillas were good. Menudo was okay after having to season it heavily. Just not what I expected after reading some of the reviews. Service was fine.

Maybe it was all the 5-​star reviews. With all those glowing word pictures of food so good it nearly stood up and begged to be eaten. Maybe that’s why I went in with such high expectations.
Don’t get me wrong… the food wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t as good as all those 5-​star reviews made me think it would be. It was just fine, is what it was. Due to its location in the Valley, the clientele we observed there was… let’s say «colorful».
The restaurant was clean and bright, the staff friendly, food came fast. Sodas, as with many small restaurants, are single-​serving; refills extra. Chips are sold on the side. My fish burrito was good, and filling.
So, to recap: Food: good. Cleanliness: good. Service: good. 5-​star good? Not in my opinion, but just fine nonetheless.

Still my favorite Mexican restaurant for a quick meal here in Oceanside. The food has always been excellent. My new favorite is the Chipotle burrito, it is so delicious and the pollo asado inside is so flavorful. Their fish tacos also taste great and are reasonably priced.

I’ve been here twice. Food is delicious. Service is quick. Salsa bar is great. If you’re looking for perfectly seasoned and cooked carne asada, then this is the place to go.
I’ve had the carne asada fries. Their portion is huge and well worth the money. Their carne asada burritos come with your choice of diced potatoes or french fries. The variety of options is great. Perfect place if you are in a rush and need something quick. Also great for dinner.

After three years away from American and living in Japan for the last three years this was the first Mexican Restaurant I went to. I was satisfied with everything.
Service — super friendly
Facility — clean
Menu — visited twice and it was constant and tasty
Only complaint is that there chips cost $ 1.49 and where cold and stale.

The food here is pretty good and prices are not to expensive. My favorite thing to get from here is their chipotle burrito, it’s very good. The restaurant is very clean and that also goes for the restrooms. The staff is very friendly and their service is very fast. The ONLY NEGATIVE is that they charge for fountain drink refills.
