City of Oceanside Surf Camp

City of Oceanside Surf Camp is a great option to teach your kids to surf. We were staying in the area for a month and if you walk the Strand you will notice several surf school options and we loved that the City of Oceanside has a surf camp.
First, CoO Surf Camp has the best price! They have weekly camps starting each Monday-​Friday 157.00 if you are resident or 167.00 for non residents. They also had Drop-​In so you can pick individual days for $ 57/​$ 67NR.
We love it is all day 8am-​3pm. So, that price is a pretty good deal for all day. Other surf schools are more expensive and not as long.
Instructors are AWESOME! They have a great team and my son enjoyed them all but Charles and Nate are so helpful, friendly and make this camp so much fun. Not only do they learn surfing techniques, but they include other game activities. Each week they end with a surfing competition, so all the kids participate if they want for fun prizes. All the parents come out and video, take pictures it’s a good time. The week that my son participated the instructors had a dessert competition, we made a dessert to share with the instructors, he was so excited to come up with something special.
This is the 2^nd summer he has participated in the surf camp he was excited to see the same instructors and a few friends from last year. They are located just north of the pier and the kids are in yellow swim shirts which you keep when you sign-​up.
