Denny’s

The food is not the greatest food in the world but it’s okay and it brings my family together. My main problems is the serve. There was a pregnant young girl as our server. She could not get our order right and when she brings the food it’s only the main plate. No bread or side orders. She would never come to your table unless you flag her down. BUT! When it’s time to pay the check she is an open book. I do not like severs who talk about their lives. Also please tell her not to call people sweetie when the customer is old enough to be her grandparent.

What has happened to Denny’s? After years of bad press and non-​descript food, Denny’s has become our go-​to place for delicious, well-​prepared comfort food.
We’ve visited this Ocean City Denny’s numerous times when in town. The staff are consistently friendly and efficient going out of their way to please. Today Jennifer spent several minutes hunting down a bottle of Sriracha Sauce because that’s what I prefer with my eggs.
My husband had the Grand Slam and I had the Senior Veggie Omelet with whole eggs instead of egg whites. We both chose the fresh fruit instead of hash browns. Our plates were so pretty we took pictures. We love going to Denny’s.

This is the worst possible Denny’s in the United States. The service is absolutely horrible, it took us about 15 minutes for my table of 3 to receive a glass of water, and then an extra 10 to receive our drinks. The floor is covered in food. My food came out extremely cold. The place itself is just not clean. The only reason I’m giving this one star is because of our waitress Denise. She was really apologetic about the service.

Great cycle of service, our waitress knew what she was doing and delivered great service. We had the apple crisp which was lovely, and the famous moons over my hammy. Hash Browns cooked to perfection, and so was our sandwich. She really did a great job and that is nice to see after reading some of the previous reviews. It was not busy, Thursday night at 1253am, food was quick and hot, what more could you ask for. Thanks Dennys

I would give no stars but it isn’t an option. Took a while to be seated, as there was about 5 people working, 2 of which were at the registers. The food took forever. When we went to pay, the manager asked me to move out of the way; I was in his «line of sight». (I’m a little over 5ft tall, come on now!) The manager was also sitting on the phone the whole time, and he kept saying to whoever he was talking to that he had a line. Don’t waste your time here.

Although the server was sweet, she kind of disappeared while our food took way too long. Had to wait a long time to pay, even though there was staff everywhere. Service was just horrible all over the place.

Had breakfast for dinner at Denny’s a couple of night ago and was sorely disappointed. I wasn’t expecting much from the food, but the service was just ridiculous.
We were a party of 3 and two of our orders came out wrong. I had a Grand Slam with pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and a biscuit. Another had toast, eggs, bacon and another side. Basically I received my friend’s toast, and instead of toast, she got pancakes.
Julie took our order (and trust me I would remember if someone’s name is Julie) — she specifically asked me what my last choice was and I said a biscuit. She asked my friend what kind of toast she wanted… A different server brought our meals out and placed everything haphazardly across the table. She didn’t even bother to ask who had what — all she said was «I’m just bringing out the food for the other server.» Minutes later, a woman named Helen shows up and asks how our meal is. I told her that I ordered a biscuit but received toast. Immediately she shouted to the kitchen, «Can I get a biscuit for Julie’s table???» We finish our meals and the biscuit never shows up. Finally the GM comes by and asked how our meal was. We told her the issue and she apologized and said that she would take the biscuit off the bill. She claims that she sent our original server on a break and the kitchen messed up. One of the girls asked for a box to go — which the GM forgot to bring when she came back a minute later with the tab. Surprise surprise — she also forgot to take the biscuit off the bill.
I know I wasn’t expecting much from Denny’s, but damn, this is a new low! No wonder I haven’t eaten here in over 15 years.

Respectable establishment. Good service. Food comes fast and correct if its not too busy.

Denny’s, Denny’s, Denny’s…They are everywhere franchise. So when in OC, something familiar hits me as we were driving down the Coastal Highway. There! it was Denny’s. Always co-​located near a hotel. I called in my order the next day, because I got sick so I have my BF picked up my food. But when he got them, my chicken soup was not in the bag. I needed the salty, warm goodness that would helped me in my cold misery. Sadly, he has to go back. I told him. «you better come back with a big bowl than a cup of chicken soup for my consolation because I’m bad-​ass sick and won’t take bad memory from the un-​sick lady who took my order.»

We came late at night after bowling and the service was very good for one waitress in the restaurant. We only ordered a desert and it is VERY good.

After a long day at the MARAMTA Conference, my friends and I were starving. Denny’s was right next to our hotel, so we decided to order there. I ordered the $ 4 biscuit and gravy breakfast. This came with a biscuit smothered in gravy, eggs, and hashbrowns. The food came fast, and it was great! Our waitress was extremely friendly. We finished up with a chocolate lava cake. Affordable, delicious and friendly staff. We’ll definitely come back!

My brother wanted to eat at this diner. I was hesitant to go, but we had great service as well as good food. The place was pretty crowded on a late Friday night. I really enjoyed the Prime Rib Philly Melt and the chicken noodle soup. The waitress was extremely helpful. She made sure we had everything promptly. The restaurant and rest rooms were clean. So I was pleasantly surprised… from other reviews, it looks like consistency is a problem.

I went here 6 times only 2 of them were good. The last time my wife’s water had black specs all in it and they found out the lines were messed up so they apologized. The chicken fried steak dinner she got was like leather and they put so much gravy over it you couldn’t even see it. My cheese steak omelette was pretty good but the home fries were dry and not warm.
The visit before that I had a coffee ring ½ way down the mug inside so I didn’t notice it until I was almost finished it and my wife had lipstick prints on the lip of the mug. We offered to pay for the coffee and they said no and we left a $ 1 tip and moved on to another restaurant.

This Denny’s was ok. The staff was great. The prices were reasonable. This is the only Denny’s in the area so expect a long delay in seating. I must admit the place was full and there was plenty of people waiting to be seated, but it moved faster than I thought. The location is tricky so you may pass it because the sign is in the front but it is way in the back of a mall next to comfort inn hotel.

We tried the pancake puppies… very good! Great waitress served us and all our food came out delicious.

It’s Denny’s, what do you expect? What I do like about this place is that they are open 24 hours so, when you want that late late night bite to eat, it’s ready.
We were staying at a condo on 114^th st, and this place is right across the street. You can imagine this place saved us and hit the spot more than once.
Surprisingly the waitstaff at 4 in the morning is friendly and patient. I guess they have to be to deal with the rowdy late late night crowd.
Food comes out 5 minutes after you order. Drinks are always full, and you are never rushed.
Obviously the food quality isn’t the highest, but you know what ur getting into when you go to Denny’s, so can’t really complain too much about that. Trust me, if ur eating here at 4 in the morning, it will be the best food you have ever tasted, ha.

Awfully filthy restaurant! Floors hadn’t been vacuumed in who knows how long! Should have walked out… food was greasy and tasteless! Denny’s has gone downhill. Bathrooms were a horror and when we told management they just gave us a look. Will never go back again!

Try the red white and blueberry french toast with strawberries and cream cheese drizzle. Ordered scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and grits the whole meal was yummy. Service was fast and on point.

Everytime I go to Ocean City I come down to Denny’s before the movie or for lunch. I come here for the T-​bone steak and it a good price to other restaurants in the area. The egg was cook good. Home fires are passable. The coffee is good. It’s hard to find other this to eat in the menu. The t-​bone because the cost is low they come from dry milk cow. They use tenderizer to make the meat make it tender. There milk shake is very good.
Some time you have to wait for a table. But it’s worth it for reasonable cost meal. I wood come back here again.
There a Fox movie theater, Comfort Inn, a Gold Coast Shopping Mall. Plus a Captial One Bank ATM machine the only one at Ocean City MD.

Worst dining experience ever! After a long wait for our meals to come out, the waitress finally comes to our table and tells us they are waiting for the avocado for our meal which is due to come in on the truck in 20 minutes or so and asks if we’d like to reorder. So, we reordered and then when the food comes out it wasn’t what we had ordered and suddenly our waitress is no where to be found. We found out that she left. Finally another waitress came over, asked if we wanted a box — we said no. Then she said is everything good? We said no but she just kept walking and didn’t respond. Horrible service. Botched order. Good luck to anyone that attempts to eat there. The only reason they got 1 star is because I can’t give it 0.
