The setup of the restaurant looks a little weird something about the atmosphere just feels a little off to me. The food was decent but you really only go here to drink its a pretty chill place and only good if you go as a group. They have a lot of tables on the inside and a dance floor as well. The majority of the people who go here sit outside in their patio area so that they can smoke and such. There is a pool hall right next door which is pretty cool, you can go drink then just walk over and play pool if you want. one of the coolest things about this place is that they let you play your own music I don’t know if its always like that but the night we went they gave my group the okay when we asked. This place doesn’t really do anything different to stand out compared to the other late night Korean restaurants in the area its decent and I would go back but I don’t think it would be my first choice. oh also the workers were pretty cool the night I went we had a waitress who kept checking back on our group and got us anything that we asked for.

Zoomak is a Korean restaurant with a mini bar, however it is no typical restaurant. It is more like a hang out/drinking spot for many of its regular customers. They have indoor and outdoor seating but most people choose to sit outside. Since most customers come here to drink, the patio area is great for when it gets hot so you don’t need to go out for fresh air you’re already sitting in the comfort of outdoors while eating/drinking. They also have heaters for when it gets cold sitting outside. There are ashtrays provided in the outdoor patio seating area so people can eat and smoke at the same time(if you’re a smoker you will love this). Another plus is there are speakers with an aux cord provided so you can play your own music. I don’t know any other restaurant that lets you smoke and eat at the same time while playing your own music, so that is what I consider unique about Zoomak. However other than that, the food and service is mediocre. If your a person that is more for service, you will not like this place because it can get busy. If you come here just to eat, you might also not enjoy this place during its busy weekends since it has a bar-like atmosphere you will be around drunk/intoxicated people. If you are a regular customer or a person that drinks, you will like this place. The staff are friendly and know the majority of its regular customers by names, if you’re one of those people you will likely get hooked up. It is either you are one of those lucky people that like this place or you don’t. I would say Zoomak is a convenient restaurant to chill and have a few drinks with friends. A lot of people commonly throw birthdays and events here. Another convenient thing is there is a connected pool hall next door. It is a separate business, but you can eat and leave to shoot pool, which is what a lot of people do.

This place is SUPPPPERRRRR ratchet! Ratchet as in, trees being smoked freely, one beer pong table with community cups type of ratchet. A M B I A N C E I feel like I’m at an Asian house party. It’s feels very clique-ish and if you didn’t really know anyone here, be prepared to be stared down and feel uncomfortable. No joke. I swear I’ve been to the same house party where everyone is smoking in the back parking lot(majority of the restaurant was outside), people slobbering over the beer pong THATWASNEVERWASHEDONCE or had the cups changed! S E R V I C E When we entered, no one was at the door to greet nor seat us. We walked in ourselves, found our friends, and sat. They were the ones that brought us the menu and went up to order the food, not the servers. Menus were really moist and disgusting. Let’s just agree that service is nonexistent. F O O D Was more like imitation Korean food. — Rabokki(Spicy rice cakes, fish cake, onions, a boild egg. No ramyun): Too much onions and fishcakes, not enough spicy rice cakes. Taste was ok, but portions and actual food amount was limited. — Fried chicken(Korean chicken?): Not the typical Korean chicken that is fried and drenched in spicy sauce. The sauce in this was separate. It was decent. The plate was devoured by 8 hungry hungry people. — Kim chi fried rice(Rice, spam, fried egg, hot paste): Probably the most tasteless kimchi fried rice I’ve ever had. Slightly disappointing. We had another rice that was like a general fried rice and that had more taste than the kimchi one. How can a spicy, kimchi, full of spicy paste fried rice be TASTELESS? — Another fried rice(sorry for the lack of details): A little like the kimchi one, minus the spiciness. For some reason, this one was more flavorful. P R I C I N G Oh godddd, for the amount of food we got, it was very expressive. We also got drinks though(not sure how much). We split among a group of 8 and paid about $ 20 each, empty stomach and all. We ended up going to another bar to eat and drink. O T H E R There is a nice outdoor-type patio dining. For smokers maybe? A lot of people smoking there. Pool hall area but I didn’t enter it. One bathroom for women’s. Would I go back? Only if I have to. I wouldn’t be against it. Honestly, this area is full of Korean place and bars. Zoo Mak doesn’t have anything super special about it.

This place is pretty cool. Food alright, but def a good place to have a few soju with some friends and OB beer. food may take some time to come out so don’t get too much drinking until the food arrives or else you will regret!

Zoomak is amazing because it’s one of those restaurants that have a theme and is very consistent with it. Zoomak’s theme is hard to miss and that theme is «NEGLECT.» We got to the place close to 10 on a Friday night. There was ONE table with a couple, and the rest of the place was completely empty(it started getting more crowded around 11). Although the whole place was empty, they took FOREVER to even notice our presence. 4 people in our party went to the bathroom in turns, and we got seated after the last person came back. NEGLECT. So we finally got seated, and they handed us the menu. We started looking through the menu when we realized that what could be mistaken as a very abstract design on the menu was actually… mold. NEGLECT. From the moment we got the menu, it took forever for the waiter to come take our order. NEGLECT. While we were waiting, they gave us these tortilla chips that were hella stale. NEGLECT :(:(:( We were there for about two hours, and the table next to us that was filled with plates and cups when we got there was left uncleaned for the entire time. NE-EFFIN-GLECT… And to top everything, the food was just whatever and the drinks were overpriced. So you really won’t miss anything if you skipped this place. I do not like to be neglected and neither do you. So STAY away from this place.

Went by the new Korean Bar/Lounge Zoomak on the of corner of 27th and Telegraph. What a great place! Really clean looking inside. Nice dance floor and outside patio area with heat lamps and tables. The kitchen is open all night if you looking for some good food to go with your beer or soju. If you get a chance, definitely check this spot out!
