Villa York

Villa York has been my favorite Oakland pizza for years. They offer great combinations – my favorite is the «Webster,» featuring spinach, fresh tomato, minced garlic, and a drizzle of pesto. Their prices are fantastic for the quality of food, and their delivery is always friendly and reliable. I love their crust: a little bit tangy, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside.
They’re best as a delivery operation, but every once in a while it’s fun to walk in and eat there. There are table and chairs on the sidewalk outside, if you’re feeling traditional, or a comfy sectional sofa and big-​screen TV inside if you prefer to feel like you’re in your living room.

Downgrading to one star, do not order from this place. You will never get your food!

Beware!!! ‘0’ stars Ordered on grub hub. Pizza took over 2 hours to get here. Over an hour and 30 mins past the estimated time. Finally got delivered and pizza was stone cold. Called grub hub about a refund since we didn’t eat it… but villa york denied it (apparently the driver lied and said it was delivered on time). You have got to be kidding! Never again!

This restaurant is great, the food is good and the price is just right. Loving the girl who works there because she is so friendly, don’t let the low ratings fool you. Those people are lies ! This place is wonderful, I’ll be coming back for sure ! The slices were huge

I was so disappointed with their food and service this weekend. The XL pizza was a «Medium» at best, and there was hardly any cheese. The «wings» were dried and over-​fried, and slivers of chicken. When I called GrubHub to notify them of my dissatisfaction, Villa York refused to accommodate me as a customer that has ordered from them on several occasions. I won’t order from Villa York again.

It took and hour and forty minutes to deliver. Pizza was cold and tasted horrible. The pizza was over priced for the low quality ingredients. After an hour and 10 minutes I called to find out why it was taking so long and all they could say was to give the driver 5 more minutes, it showed up roughly 30 minutes after I called.

I had order a pizza at villa york pizza. It’s very tasty and fast delivery. I tried the white pizza with 2 topping. 14.99 for a large size. I picked spinach and sausage. Overall, good choice.

Hey Pizzas, Villa York is the #1 pizza place that I can count on for consistent friendly service and hot delicious pizza. Their X-​Large 2 topping pizza (pick-​up only) is the best deal in town for $ 11.99 + tax. Chef Tony has a great pizza dough recipe and good sauce to cheese ratio too. Come by and get a slice or two. You can’t lose pizzas!!!

This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat. The staff is really nice and the food is great. Can’t wait to go back. Love the chicken pasta.

Ordering from Villa York Pizza, whether it be pizza, a burger, or some chicken fingers — is equivalent to playing Russian Roulette.
Quality of –all– items on their menu are fairly inconsistent. The real danger lies in all their fried foods. Usually overcooked, or undercooked and soggy. Rarely acceptable.
Delivery time is always top notch, but that means diddly squat when you look at your chicken fingers and fries and think, «If I ever wanted to defend myself from an assailant late at night somewhere, I could use these fries and gouge their eyes out.»
The two star rating is an accumulation of over two years of patronage. It’s a shame they’ve turned out to be so horribly disgusting. There aren’t enough filters on my photo app to make any of their food look even remotely apetizing.

The pizza is not amazing. Let that be known. However, it was better than some mountain mikes we ordered not long ago. Certainly not terrible. The garlic bread, however, was terrible; as well as the service. They couldn’t even come to our door for delivery, just called when they were outside. Wtf? At least they deliver late and it certainly could have been worse. It was cold but crust was chewy how I like it. I actually don’t think it deserves the 2.5 star rating, but if I were just rating the pizza it would be 3.5. Just saying.

Can’t say it’s the best pizza in the neighborhood, but villa York is always on our list of pizza places. Nice doughy crust with great toppings. We recommend not getting the sausage though.

If this is the place I went to a few months ago and ordered a Gyro sandwich and fries to go, then it was worth it… delicious

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!
Don’t know how they are with pick up but don’t get delivery. Our food was ice cold and barely cooked even when we nicely asked for it to be well done. Huge waste of money!

Me and my roommates ordered cheese steaks for delivery and were so disappointed when they arrived with barely an ounce of meat or cheese in them. We ordered the double supreme cheese steaks which cost $ 8.00 and they were basically 12″ crunchy rolls with one piece of steak and cheese in each roll. The sandwich would have been tasty but the lack of filling was completely pathetic. I won’t waste my money here again. (See photo)

I ordered 2 double cheeseburgers and a 2 greek salads. Food was tasty, salad was fresh, and delivery was fast, around 30 mins. Can’t find any place that delivers burgers at 9pm at night. Will definitely order again!

I ordered some chicken wings for pick up and was told they’d be ready in 15 minutes. After getting there 15 minutes later I told them my order and they tell me, «oh, we just sent our driver to pick up some chicken. Once he gets back we need to cook it, can you wait?» I told them forget it and left.

Was visiting a friend who lives around the neighborhood. We decided to try this place out. We called and ordered for delivery. maybe an hour and a few minutes later passed until we realize that it was a bad idea.
If your going to offer delivery service maybe you should post a sign or a warranty somewhere saying your pizza MAY or MAY NOT come depending on whose driving. Absolutely ludicrous

***DANGER*** This place is TERRIBLE! I DO NOT RECCOMEND IT!
I ordered a Tuna Sub — Cold with hots and Tomato, Fried Mushrooms and Wings.
Sub — BURNT — Almost NO tuna and with lettuce and tomato — dripping a white «fluid».
Mushrooms — Tasted like the southern end of a northbound camel
Wings — TINY TINY TINY! The sauce was SO salty, I had to toss them out. When HOT SAUCE can’t kill the salty taste, you KNOW it’s bad.
The delivery guy all but threw the bag at me and left quickly, without saying a word! He must have been EMBARRASED to work at such a terrible place!

Another friend got me a villa special last night, had 3 slices, the crust was good… had a nice crunch and the chewy type. which I like…
Then my co workers ordered another this afternoon, what’s up with the pizza cravings… lol…couldn’t do but one slice… lol
Not bad pricing, 16.99 for an extra large…
