Sundance Mobile Notary Public

Well my husband needed a document notarized at the earliest and we found about her services running until odd hours of the day.
She invited us over to the YMCA centre in Berkeley. Highly unprofessional. Sadly we did not check the Unilocal reviews before approaching and scheduling an appointment with her.
The website is misleading. She does not commit to the rates mentioned there. She prefers cash which is understandable and one more thing that adds to her bad business ethics.
She charged 30 bucks, and we did not have the exact change so we nicely gave her 40 bucks. She refused to return the remaining 10 bucks for God alone knows what reason.
Please stay away at all costs. We want to save others from the damage that we underwent.

adrienne, why do you have the same tired, insincere response to each and every complaint??? everyone knows you are a crook and you will never get business again once they look you up on Unilocal.why have several different names for the same company… i went to your «office building» and you not listed!!! there is no #10 office room! & one more question, exactly who’s picture is that on the website?!! it’s very misleading you are inferring that the picture is you. customers it is NOT!!! is this another attempt to deceive!!! almost forgot, just why isn’t your company, name, etc listed on the building directory… makes you go mmmmmmmmmmmmm???

Reading the other comments makes me think over my experience with Sundance quite a bit. I needed a notary on the spot. I needed them to be able to work with a very difficult situation and sensitive matter… I ended up going from notary to notary and Sudance was the only notary who was familiar with the circumstances I was facing the behavior of the company requiring the notarized documents. I’m also a notary myself — so I was familiar with the law and the fees that may incur. I have to admit– I hadn’t gone to their website because I was also in a hurry!
She arrived at my location, parked in the red zone, and evaluated my needs on the spot. We never even discussed prices, but yes, the price was higher than I anticipated and went over what I was told when she first sat down with the forms. Because of the complexities of my situation, I easily forgave it.
If I were her, I’d improve my website to reflect exactly how fees are charged. Overall, I am most satisfied to have this situation resolved, but truth be told, if I hadn’t found her, it wouldn’t be.
Sundance doesn’t reflect a well formed business, but they are very well versed in what they do. When it comes to nearly impossible situations — I would refer them.

I generally do not like to write bad reviews about anyone, but this company is very misleading. After seeing their prices were very reasonable and believing their website, I decided to patronize them. That was a bad decision.
1^st, they arrived half an hour late. 2^nd, she charged me a different price then what is listed on their website. I brought this up to her and she said they need to update their website. She said «gas has gone up so much» I did not think it was professional to not honor what was advertised on your website. I told her had I gotten a check printed from the company and not used petty cash then we would have had a problem. I tossed her business card in the garbage as I will not use her again.
She is a very nice lady, but she has very bad business practices. In the next few months our company will need many notarizations for business documents but we will be contacting someone else.

She’s a fraud. Do not go to her.

If there was a way to give her zero stars I would have. This «notary» is a criminal~ She was helpful and kind UNTIL $ 1200.00 was handed over to her to complete papers for power of attorney and trust. She spent 3 months blowing everyone in my family off, when we would call to request the paper work we had paid her for… «You’ll get it next week.» is her favorite lie/​line. Our family has mobilized to take her down but thieves ALWAYS find a way to keep their gig going until they are behind bars.
So…do to trust this woman with even the simplest of task — she will rip you off.

Negative points… AVOID & advise your friends to do the same.

I called on a late Friday expecting her to not be available until tomorrow or the next day… but she came right away at 10 p.m. at night and so quickly that I barely had enough time to finish filling out my forms. She was knowledgeable about the documents I was signing and was helpful with identifying the types of documents I needed as well as having extra in her suitcase. The price was a bit higher than I expected from her website but she gave me a discount from the coupon available on her website. Its too bad she had negative reviews on Unilocal.I enjoyed her vibrant energy.

Don’t even THINK about using this company. See my review for Affordable Mobile Notary. It’s the same crooked woman using both business names. She should be run out of town. She’s a liar and a cheat. STAY AWAY.

Mine is the same story. I was quoted a price on the phone and it increased after our notary was signed. It is a total scam. I was quoted a 30 dollar travel fee and 15 dollar notary. After signing our documents I was told to pay 50 bucks for the travel fee and 15 dollars per signature. After questioning Adrienne about the increase (she said it was because we lived in a difficult area of Oakland) we settled on 60 bucks (15 dollars more that I thought I was going to pay). Is 15 bucks really a big deal? I don’t like being scammed and Adrienne seemed so nice that for a while, I thought I screwed up. The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I called Adrienne to see how much her services would cost. I was told a flat rate of $ 15.00. When i walked over to her office, there were no signs on the doors, no buzzer which made me wonder if her services were even legit. She of course took my thumb print and home address, than she glanced over my document (two page). She told me that I had to pay an additional $ 10.00 for an additional document that she needed to fill out. Not only did she fail to mention this over the phone, she got very upset that i didn’t have the $ 25.00 to pay her. When i told her i would have to go to the bank, she asked if i had a check and when i said no, she tried to hold my document for ransom. I literary had to run out of her office. About 15 minutes later she called to apologize, but only after the fact.
She was very unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend her services to anyone and will be calling BBB.

My friend turned me onto Sundance Notary and I am sure glad he did. I needed a notarized signature and a large amount of money was on the line. I was so afraid I wouldn’t be able to find a notary on a Friday after 5, but there she was. Actually I called her and she left her home and came to her office to meet me so we could get the job done. Who does that on a Friday night? I guess Sundance Mobile Notary because that’s what my experience was. Great service!!!

This was the worst notary service I’ve ever had to deal with. Adrienne was 45 minutes late and she didn’t even apologize. She quoted a price on the phone, then when she got here she gave us a completely different price. She didn’t give us the new price until after she notarized the document. She was very unprofessional and had the worse customer service. I will NEVER use this company or Adrienne again. If I could put 0 stars, I would because she doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

I needed a document notarized, and Sundance Mobile Notary looked good on their website. Their prices are listed clearly as having a $ 30 travel fee to Oakland, where I was, unless you met them at a Starbucks, when it was a flat $ 15 travel fee. Notarizations are listed as $ 10 each. 7 days a week. Simple, right? The home page even states: «Unlike some notaries, we won’t mislead you with a phony „teaser rate“, then raise the price afterward. Somehow, though, after meeting at a Starbucks and having the notary, Adrienne notarize the document and try to sell me another $ 80 document to notarize, it was time to pay the bill, and… «65 dollars please.» $ 45 for travel and $ 20 for the notarization.
What? On your website it says $ 15 for travel to this Starbucks and $ 10 for notarization, that’s $ 25!
Now came a litany of excuses– oil prices have gone up, her boss hasn’t updated the website, she came from really far away, she’s having a bad day, it’s a Sunday, etc.
What a scam! We settled for $ 45 and plan to call the Better Business Bureau. Buyer Beware.
