I wanted to try Gaylord’s(the independent coffee shop across from here) but it was extremely un-welcoming. I came into this Starbucks, and the service was outstanding! They treated me as if I were a long-lost friend, and I couldn’t believe how fun it was to hang out in there. Great drinks and lemon cake, too!

Very slow service when busy. They work hard, but not enough people are there to work. Anyways. Typical quality food /drinks. Recommended seating at window for a look at the beautiful ohlone mural outside!!!

I just wanted to add a NEW person to the fold of AWESOME Starbucks staff. Her name: Lovely Lindsay. Lovely Lindsay does a FIVESTARJOB across the board. She has a warm friendly smile. She makes a outstandingly KICKBUTT Carmel Macchiato that just makes your mouth water. Lovely Lindsay just simply makes you feel warm and welcome from the time you meet her to the moment you leave. Great Job Lovely Lindsay, Great Job.

Ordered a gingerbread latte, no foam no whip. Got both and when I asked her to redo, she grabbed the coffee out of my hand, took off the whip and handed it back it me. Never said sorry about hat or make a new one. Never smiled, was the worst experience I’ve had in a Starbucks. Service here is on and off, so disappointing.

Ever since the remodel, this store offers an upscale atmosphere with some delicious Clover® Brewed coffee and friendly service. This location has some good looking men and they all have awesome beards and moustaches. This location still offers that small neighborhood coffee house feel. Fast, clean and hella friendly.

A bit average as far as Starbucks go. I prefer to go to the one on Lakeshore instead. It has a better atmosphere. Or the one on Pleasant Valey by the AAA office. There are too many weird people at this Starbucks. They are annoying.

I love this location because it is in a nice area. Nice people come here. Nice people work here. This is a good location to go to if you’re in the area.

This Starbucks hasn’t changed one bit since I worked here in high school. For whatever reason you might have an urge to get a frapuccino or an espresso, come by and get one at this store. That is all :)

This location now has GOOGLE wifi and the connection is noticeably faster. Also, comfortable seating and relaxed(no one asking you to leave after making a purchase-see my horrid review of Café Trieste on Piedmont Avenue).

This Starbucks on Piedmont Avenue is perhaps the 5th choice for locals. That’s because there are several other coffee choices within a couple of blocks of this place. There is a Peet’s nearby, which is a chain but serves stronger coffee with less sweeteners, there’s Gaylord’s down the street, which has been around for 40 years, and there are at least 2 other independent places on Piedmont Avenue. Then there are the sandwich places and other restos that serve coffee. You can tell how Yuppie a neighborhood you live in by the number of Coffee houses are there. Or women carrying Yoga mats. This Starbucks actually closes earlier than say, Gaylord’s, so it is for the earlier risers and the conformists. It has typical *bux stuff and motif, a few chairs, but not a lot of seating. It also seems more subdued energetically than other *bux I have been in, but maybe that was just the time of day, or maybe it is just the group that favors this place. I have never been here in the morning, so it could be completely different then.

I love this place! Unsweetened green tea latte is usually my go-to Starbucks drink, but they do make a pretty tasty cappuccino. I can go on and on about how much I enjoy there drinks, but the people that work here is what gets me coming back each time. They are all pleasant and happy to help. My only con would be the fruit flies that occupy the trash cans — that tends to make me want to sit outdoors…

Nice rectangle location, you walk in to the back and order your drinks to the right. This location has great sunlight; great seats and great lay out for having a cup of coffee and watching the world on Piedmont Ave go back. It’s a Starbucks people, same drinks, different location.

Starbucks is corporate so you can’t really expect much when it comes to service. I do have applaud the blonde for her rudeness, she is usually there in the AM. Everyone else is very pleasant and that what I want most in the early morning!

Haven’t drank coffee in a loooong time(tea lover here) but I needed something to get my day started. Hazelnut latte does it for me. I was informed that they will be serving hazelnut macchiatos soon! I’ll be back to check that out.

I am not a fan of this location. Reason one– this was the first Starbucks I’ve ever been to which insisted on charging me for milk for my oatmeal. Really lame… Reason two– I purchased a tall caramel machiato and asked for a cup of water. I was informed that the water was on the counter. There were no lids on the counter, so I asked for a lid. I was informed that there were no lids for the drinking water? Since when? While I was there, I observed that another patron was given a lid. Really lame and inconsistent. Gaylords here I come!

This Starbucks consistently sucks. The staff is obnoxious and they cannot get a drink order right… ever. They are super slow and they’ve also completely forgotten my order at times. Often I have to go back up and ask for cream because it’s not sitting out. Plus, the bathroom is always gross and out of toilet paper. My biggest complaint is with the manager, who I’ve heard boasting of her title numerous times, she is rude and unprofessional. That is all. The star goes to the girl with the red hair since she is nice and she also remembered my usual order. Thank you. Go to Gaylord’s next door, they rule! :)

From the reviews, I didn’t find this Starbucks that horrific. I work a couple blocks down, so I’m always here for a pick me up or a cramming study session. The staff are friendly, remember faces, and makes that drink pretty banging perfect the way I ask them to. But they are usually understaffed, or at least understaffed at the bar making drinks. Even for a simple iced tea it could take up to 5 minutes, so they need to get working on that. So the customer service isn’t the best though. And especially lately, they’ve been hiring new people and know absolutely know how to do nothing. There’s four comfy couches and a bunch of tables. Outlets run along either side of the store, BUT the ones on the side facing Gayloards, are loose. Like you have use your leg to prop your charger inside the socket because I’m not really sure why, but it chargers though. So you won’t have a hell of time looking for outlets, but they’re usually taken by Kasier employees trying to get work done. The staff don’t usually bother the customers, and clean up the tables pretty often. The bathroom doesn’t need a code and smells nice inside, haha. They have outdoor seating as well. Free att wifi. Newspapers by the door. Oh the door is tricky. It’s pull to get outside, so don’t be trolled. I get trolled everytime.

Starbucks is always a good place to kill some time, and this location isn’t any different. Free wifis, plenty of outlets, not too crowded, and windows to people/dog watch. Order a nonfat mocha, pop open the laptop and you’re set!
