Sigh… I come here few times a year to purchase a wired ear piece for my cell phone. It’s cheap here and it’s a quick in and out. The problem is that service is never really good here. Today was not really an exception, but on top of that they were unable to open the cash register so I could not pay with cash. Seriously? I paid with credit card after waiting a few minutes and got out of there. Sad… very sad…

The manager was rude as I was asking about their policy to not accept returns on malfunctioning product. FYI if you buy from radioshack they will not allow you to return it if it is broken. Weird policy. Go to Office Depot. Cheaper and not rude folks

This RS store is a joke. Walked in looking for a specific phone. First tried Alameda, they told me this store had one. Standing at the register while 2 employees chatted with some phone rep. Waited, waited, waited. Finally one guy motions to the other, finally«can I help you». I ask for my phone. Guy goes and checks the display(which I already checked). «We dont have any on the floor — I’ll check the back». On the way back, another employee asks«when does the xxx come out?». So they start talking back and forth about that. Finally dude goes in the back, finds my phone, starts typing in the computer. BTW — other RS just ring you up, not enter your name, address, etc in the computer. «So, how many minutes do you want?». «Dont want minutes, just need to replace my phone». «Here at Radio Shack you need to buy minutes». Me: «alright, forget it then» and I walk out. Worst customer service ever, generally overpriced merchandise, lousy neighborhood. Dont waste your time. The Alameda store is much better, nicer and more knowledgeable people, nicer location.

Save your time and go to the one in Alameda! That’s all I’m going to say.

As long as you know exactly what you need and don’t need help/advice, radio shack carries a wide range of electronics stuff. I needed a car charger for an obscure cell phone. I had the phone with me so all I needed was to verify that the plug fit. The person helping me, forgot her name but she was cute(& young) was quickly able to find the car charger. I was on my my way in a matter of minutes.
