Had lunch here one day, hard to find but glad I did. It was good food. Soup was delicious, outside seating for warmer days. Will be back, need to go through their menu.

Sandwiches are good but not that big. Small family run business. 2 little sweet asian women. Club sandwich and Beef sandwhichs are good.

Place got some good reviews so I decided to check it out. Unimpressed with the sandwich; they put one slice of meat on it. Had to ask for more and got a whopping one more slice of meat. Chicken and rice soup was ok, but is misleading as there were only a few strings of chicken and mostly rice. Seems like this place is trying to keep profits high by skimping on the meals. Bag of chips were good but it was the only thing I got that wasn’t made at the store. I should have left satisfied for $ 10 for a cup of soup, half sandwich, and bag of chips. Overall I would recommend avoiding this place.

Very nice sandwich place. Offers daily lunch specials. Their tuna sandwich was delicately prepared. Bread was warmed and so delicious with fresh ingredients. Nice to place to have lunch

Went for lunch. For two it was $ 20 and sandwiches I could make at home. Nothing special. Won’t be back.

This little breakfast spot is a hidden gem! I love that it is in the same plaza as my job as well! The entire breakfast menu is extremely affordable and is perfect to start your day. The lady who runs this spot is extremely sweet and helpful. I love having breakfast here. Their breakfast sandwiches, burrito and lox bagel are my go to breakfast items. Love this place!

Great place to sit down and eat lunch, freshly made sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Ladies who work here were also so nice even though some customers were demanding. The line was long and one guy asked for a glass of water. Sandwiches are delicious and there was a line of people ordering clam chowder. I think I will have to try some next time.

This place is a hidden gem in the East Oakland/​airport/​area. It was recommended by a co-​worker who understood that I didn’t want your typical options in the area (Chipotle, bbq, fast food).
The spot is unassuming and the food selections are pretty traditional for a sandwich shop. However, the options are tasty and the customer service is delightful! My favorites are the BLT and chicken rice soup but other options have also been yummy.
Top it off knowing you are supporting a local business and I don’t think you have a better option in the area for a quick & tasty lunch!

I am definitely a fan of this little gem. I live right here in the neighborhood known to many as the ghetto, and it is in some parts (won’t sugarcoat). But this place seems to have a magic cloak surrounding it because only the nicest people seem to work and frequent this establishment. Two of the most polite older ladies took my order and made my sandwich while apologizing for the wait. Don’t you dare apologize to me, I wish I could help you out! It was a painfully long wait, but I wasn’t in a rush. The pastrami was very good and the location is perfect, I’ll be bock!

This place has such good simple food. The ladies are very friendly too! I recommend the chicken rice soup and the club house sandwhich.

Funniest thing is you never forget good food! I remember when I was 18 years old working at Wal Mart when it first opened like in 2007 and I was on lunch and I was starving but I was tired of junk food! So I was walking towards Carrows then see this little hole in the wall place and I can gladly say I’m so happy I didn’t judge a book by its cover !!
At the time I got a BLT with turkey and it was good I wasn’t disappointed. I could tell that the food was fresh and was made by a person who wanted to make it ! And to this day I am 25 years old and I remembered this place ! I was like Ooh I want a salad (but I’m a funny kind of person I like my salads weird) I ordered a chicken Caesar salad with eggs avocado bacon and ranch dressing mixed with the Caesar and guess what ?
She did that !!

I come here a lot for lunch and it’s typically my go-​to spot when I want something quick. I get the BLT with avocado on ciabatta bread and its pretty good. My family and I all work in Oakland so we’ve all came here and the lady knows all of us and gets really excited when we come in. The lady had family working here and they are very hospitable and inviting. The place is clean and cute. The food is a good price and it comes quick.

Ive actually never been here but I can definitely tell you that this place kills anything else within a 1mi radius.

I heard about this place from on of my co workers, we went there for lunch the menu looked great I ordered the club house sandwich on sourdough it wasn’t so good because of the bread the next time we went I had it on wheat it was better and the next time we went I decided to have it on the light rye bread and it’s so good with the rye bread. The split pea soup is awesome. The chicken rice is very good my favorite and the chicken noodle soup also is very good. Every time we go I get the same sandwich and I get a soup of the day when they have the ones I like. I haven’t tried the vegetable beef soup but my co worker did and she loved it. The clam chowder I don’t care to try since I don’t like clams. This place is a little pricey but it’s worth the price because the food is so good. I would highly recommend this place for lunch. Also they close at 3pm so that’s a bummer so I always try to make it there before they close. The owner/​owners are very nice and sweet also. This place is great.

Stopped here for lunch after flying into Oakland. The owners were so nice and so cute! Very clean and open space with outdoor seating available. We got the shrimp avocado and California (vegetarian) sandwiches. Served quick and very delicious!

First time here. Great little hole in the wall spot! They have decent prices and good food. Also, they owners here are great, and provide friendly service. I will definitely be back. I’m proud to support local small businesses such as this one.

I’ve known and been a supporter of this place for quite some years now. I have tried many thibgs on the menu my favorite being the chicken Caesar salad. I guess its unheard of to wash your hands after handeling cash. I’m disgusted that someone could be so careless, lost my business foods ok though.

Can’t go wrong here. A simple sandwich, choice of bread and toppings $ 5.00 + tax, I usually get the chicken salad on wheat or the tuna on a roll. It’s fast friendly service and the ladies are so nice and pleasant. I can walk in order a sandwich and then do my banking and come back for a pick up and back to that grind we all call 9 to 5. I saw once in the back, it was cute and clean and quick service for which they bring over your order. They also have breakfast burritos in the am and a daily warm special.

The owners are the cutest peeple on the planet.
The prices went up recently so thats a major bummer, but the sandwiches are on point. I normally get the tunna clipper and it never disappoints.
The service is great and the food is good so I love coming here.
