Latham Square LLC

As downtown Oakland continues to expand I’ve been driving by and notice that particular intersection was a roadway for cars, bikes and such motor vehicles. Its been transform and they will be opening soon. All plant boxes are in place the road has graphics painted and looks promising. This Friday august 16^th, 2013 at noon time is officially open. Can’t wait to see what else comes off as I work a block away no doubt I will be there. Stay tune more to come!
*Update: As promise of what’s more to come well last Friday was definitely special. For all of you that miss the ceremonial event you didn’t miss out much well maybe the frefreshments and live band. Anyways on Aug 16 at noon-​1pm it was a quick get to know the area and people who help put it together. mayor Quan wasn’t available had a funeral to attend so Oakland top official city leaders took turn to what I might say (soft opening) of LS. This area is more than a parklet if that what you’re thinking. In the near future or so it will have Wi-​Fi and solar panels for some of its implemented projects going on here. I really like how the city has donated some of their public signs and street lighting fixtures to build this place up. I will come here often to relax from all that street at work til next time shop local and support your communities.
