Our gold shower fixtures have been updated to chrome and look beautiful! After replacing the tile in our shower we thought we could just buy new fixtures and have them installed. Word of warning, new fixtures won’t match up to the old! Our option was to tear out the new tile or get the old fixtures plated with chrome. Johnson’s to the rescue! We dropped of our pieces and he completed the work on time as promised. Super friendly and accommodating. I will recommend him to anyone I know as an option to reuse what you have and get new looking gorgeous fixtures! We are super pleased!

I’m a plumbing contractor and have a customer that wanted faucets with a polished brass finish. The faucets they chose were not available in polished brass, so I called up Johnson and asked if I brought them a faucet in chrome trim, could they strip the chrome finish off and give me faucets that had a polished brass finish with a good lacquer coat that would keep the brass looking polished. They said sure, bring it in which I did. When I came in and paid for the faucets, just as they were handing me the receipt, the guy behind the counter said, «By the way, there’s no guarantee».
After about three weeks of use, the owners called me and said the lacquer coating was peeling off and the brass was tarnishing. I had to remove the faucets and took them to Monsen Plating where they use an epoxy lacquer coating which does not peel off. And Monsen guarantees their work.

ASK for JON. He is the REAL deal. Take a step back in time and try and remember when crafts people worked with their hands and had the necessary tools to get the job done. I have to believe that Jon really likes what he does. He is personable and very competent.
I trusted him with my best and most valuable copper pots. Two were old pots I had brought back from France. I though they were a lost cause. He not only increased their value but made them the focal point of my kitchen.
The work Jon does is labor intensive and should not come cheap or the results will reflect that… been there done that. I checked around for pricing and he is the most reasonable.

I recently had an old bathroom heater grill replated and was very pleased with the service. I often find the people in shops such as this make me feel like I’m bothering them by giving them my business but this wasn’t the case at Johnson Plating. John (?) was very friendly and did a fantastic job.

Jim is one of the best guys I have ever met! The work he did for me was amazing. I brought in the project expecting to sell it after the restoration… but after seeing how AMAZING it was underneath all that rust… well… needless to say, this will now be a family heirloom. Talked to Jon about doing my bicycle. Found out it would be more expensive than I thought, but Jon was great. He talked me through everything. When I have the cash, I’ll use them for a project.

This is another industry that has an unusual amount of attitude. I went to three other plating/​polishing businesses and walked out after receiving near hostile treatment. I finally tried Johnson Plating and found a place to take my business from now on. It’s a family business that’s been around since the 1920’s. It’s in a small shop that you could easily miss. My particular need was kind of odd, I was having an old car grill plated in brass, with a rough finish. This confused everyone else, but once I explained my needs to the guys at Johnson they understood and were glad to take the job. They even took in in back to show me some of the process and how things work. This was really interesting and helped me learn what to expect and also to appreciate their expertise.
