I came to this jack in the box last night. I was placing my order and the lady that was taking my order her name Leah by the way. She was extremely rude and rushing me to take my order. I understand that they suppose to have a time frame to take the order, but how she was talking to me was really disrespectful. So when I got up to the window she slammed the window in my face. I was thinking to myself is this really happening? She opens the window and I ask her is she ok she says yes and ask me do I still want my order before I could answer she slammed the window in my face again. This person had the worst ATTITUDE I ever seen and I was being nothing but nice still. So I asked her can I speak to a manger she told me she was the manger. Lol I couldn’t believe Jack in the Box made this woman Leah a manger!!! Jack yall seriously need to hire a more professional manger for the late night! And make sure when you fire her replace her with someone that doesn’t wear scary makeup all over their face. Whoever goes to this jack in the box late night you been warned about this manger oh and she the one with no hair and black makeup on her face looking like a clown.

Twenty four hours… but only if you have a car. No car? You’re outta luck. They won’t even talk to you. Apparently a lone pedestrian is more dangerous than a van full of people.

I’ve been here 30 minutes and just have my order at the drive thru. It’s not even that busy, there are only three cars in front of me and one just got their food. This is sad. Wtf is going on?

Literally the slowest service of my life. They need to staff more people at night. I noticed that this is the time when it usually takes 20+ minutes waiting in the drivethru. Staff is often times very rude. The only reason I give two stars is because there’s one or two employees who are actually nice and apologize about how long it takes.

I want to give 5 stars to Danielle and only Danielle. This is one fabulous young lady. She’s what every company needs to represent them. She’s full of positive energy, has a bright/cheerful personality and a great smile. She’s helpful and certainly makes you feel welcomed. Great job Danielle. Keep up the fantastic customer service… :) As for Denise… I give her a big ZERO!!! This is what a chain doesn’t need! She’s rude, disrespectful and beyond abnoxious! She could certainly benefit by taking coaching lessons from Danielle! Denise is far from supervisor/management material and she needs to be demoted from her position. Anytime you treat someone with the disrespect she showed me, I’ll never return if I see her face!

Just left here and they were pretty busy. I only ordered an regular iced coffee, but they took a while making it. So they lady made it into a large. which isn’t helping my slight addiction to iced coffee lol. But still really kind of her. The staff here is great.

The slowest«fast» food ever we order fries, onion rings, and jalapeño poppers it’s took them over 20 minutes to get them to us in the drive through.

Terrible service. OK, my friends and I went through drive through without a car(slightly embarrassing but whatever) and we waited in line for 10 minutes. Then we waited another 5 minutes for someone to speak to us, but no one ever did. Finally we left and the moment the car behind us came up to the menu, they were met with an employee. Don’t know why not having a car wouldn’t prompt service, but this definitely was disappointing.

Worst treatment of all time. Horrible employees and inconsistent hours. I called asking what time they are open and they purposely slammed the phone in my face. I called again and they did the same thing while acknowledging that I called before. This isn’t the first time this jack in the box had pitch poor service. Many times before our order was messed up, the service was bad, they ran out of ingredients, the employees were on break for long periods of time, they charged us extra, and had terrible attitude. There needs to be serious reform with this jack in the box otherwise business will continue to be subpar. I will be writing a formal complaint.

A one star rating is still too much for this place. Never again will I eat here. Below is the complaint sent to Jack’s customer service website following my food experience on 06/24/2015: I ordered the #10 combo– Sourdough grilled chicken sandwich with medium fry and medium sprite. I had to wait a while before my order ready, although the guy at the window had already prepped the orders of the cars waiting behind me. Because of the time, I expected that the food would be fresh and hot but that was not the case– the fries were lukewarm at best and didn’t taste fresh. My biggest concern was with the sandwich– I noticed that it was also not hot at all and so I wondered why I had to wait so long for my order. I took one bite and didn’t get the familiar taste of a juicy piece of chicken, but something that was more like hard gristle! I immediately discarded what I had bitten and took a good look at the«chicken». It looked like chicken but did not taste anything like it(chicken is the main part of my diet so I am very familiar with that is should look and taste like). I prayed that it was not a case of many of the stories that I’ve heard about-customers coming across other types of «meat». I examined it again carefully and came to the conclusion that it was chicken but had either been old, frozen too long or under cooked. I was up all night debating on what I should do about this-report it to the health department or just let it go. I have eaten at other Jack locations and ordered this same meal and never have I had this experience. The best part is that I didn’t get sick from this experience(Update below). But it has made be a bit more skeptical about where I dine. I’m not sure how often food is inspected for freshness, but I would assume that the cooks have been trained to know and recognize when it may not be a good idea to serve questionable food to a customer. The mystery meal I purchased came to $ 7.08– I don’t expect to have this returned but hope that this survey gets read. Thank you-« 06/25/2015UPDATE: As of today, 24 hours later, I have the worse case of food poisoning! No longer a customer.

This place took forever! I only get a 30 minute lunch and I wasted 20 minutes of it in the drive thru. If you like to waste time on food. Come here. No sense of urgency what so ever. Every damn timeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Below is what I wrote on the Jack In The Box customer complaint website. I’m furious with this location. Often they lock the front doors. Middle of the day or early evening. I went in tonight at 8:30 Doors locked! 2 employees were sitting at tables eating. I walked the 6 blocks back home called the restaurant and asked why they were closed. They told me the were short staffed and lock the front doors. but the drive thru is open. Guess what I DON’T HAVECAR!!! i’m not walking thru a drive thru between 2 cars. I’m tired of this I have seen it many times. It looks to me like if you have to lose part of the store that you would close the drive thru so that yo could service everyone. I visit this location 3 to 4 times a week. Now I’m done. I’m no longer walking down the street to your store. Instead I go to an independent burger stand with a walk up window. The name is The Smokehouse. look them up, that’s where I will be from now on. Also you can read about this complaint on Unilocal

Usually come at night but stopped by in the afternoon for a quick lunch run and was greeted with amazing service. A lot of the fast food chains around berkeley have pretty awful staff but this place is an exception. Got my food within minutes and was well on my way home

Ayyy Jack in the Box, the classic late late night munchie stop. However, they are so close to campus that it is a pretty short bus ride away. Tacos are the ultimate deal in existence and they taste amazing. The new Fruit Coolers are hella refreshing. I recommend the new Mango Mayem, very delightful. Swag, good food for cheap.

I was turned away from drive-thru very rudely at 11:15 pm by an African American man and woman standing outside the restaurant. The woman was yelling«We’re closed we have no staff!» Why though? This store is getting worse and worse! They can’t seem to keep staff. The quality of food has declined. Why can’t you serve fresh food? Yes, It’s fast food, but fries can be cooked fresh! Why are the drinks always wet from the soda dripping down the cup? These folks don’t even wipe it off just hand you a wet cup. THESEPEOPLEDON’T GIVE A DAMNHOWTHEYSERVEYOURFOOD! The current employees look like drug addicts they just let out of jail. Not groomed. Uncombed hair. Disheveled uniforms. Dirty. It’s disgusting! I pulled up to the window and almost left my food on previous visits. This is a college area. I’m sure you can hire some high school, college kids or at least some people who care about their appearance. Sloppy and dirty is not okay in the food service industry. Do Better! This used to be the good Jack In The Box in 2012. What happened?

One thing I love about this place is that the guy who takes the drive through orders is always in a super good mood and I know I’m going to end up laughing at some point. I went for breakfast at 6:45am today and their receipt machine was messed up. I didn’t end up getting a receipt, which wasn’t a big deal since I don’t use them anyways. They also took a good 5 minutes to make my food, which I would attribute to the time of day, and thus lack of customers. Also, I was able to get 2 breakfast sandwiches, one bacon and the other ham, for just $ 4! What a steal, although it is a fast food place…

How can you go wrong with two tacos for $ 00.99 cent? Well, if you are making them and you don’t give a damn how they are made, it is WRONG! It’s 4:30pm and my son and I drive up to Jack. We’ve been there many times and rarely had poor service. Not yesterday. A simple order of a Blazin Chicken sandwich combo and two tacos. It took forever and upon opening the bag, it’s a disaster! The sandwich was just thrown in the box, stuff oozing all over. French fries in its bag, rather upside down? The tacos are cracked and half the filling is in the bottom of the bag. The whole order is like one big trash bag. Oh, well. We ate in the car and we and the car are a mess! Two paper napkins makes it even worse. A ONESTAR catastrophe. So I filled out the online survey and mildly complained. Yeah, I’ll be back, but not if it’s a garbage mess again. Surprise! I get a call from the regional manager responding to my survey response. Very nice and kindly is sending us two free meal coupons! Now it’s a TWOSTAR Unilocal

Food: I love Jack in the Box food. Cheap and delicious munchies. Get two of anything on their value menu and your hunger will be appeased. Chicken sandwich is comparable to the McChicken. Two tacos for $.99 yes please. Breakfast Jack: childhood favorite. Service: typical fast food minimal service. Remember to grab your own napkins. Not too many sit down tables. Bathroom is single stall and does not require a key. Drive thru! About five on site parking spots. Atmosphere: Get in, get stuffed, get out.

This is definitely the place for late night munchies. Wait time: Drive thru lane is ridiculous. You’re stuck bumper to bumper for at least 20 minutes at best. Be mindful of those trying to the cut the line by going to the other entrance. Service: not hospitable at all. I get it; it’s late night and you need to deal with drunk customers, but a little friendliness goes a long way. Fine, if there’s no other place open, but other than that, go elsewhere.

Jack attack who’s got you back to go out at night to feed your hunger flight Always, the same no one to blame when you go out to eat a double taco treat OK, jack is jack, they’re all the same, pretty standard. It’s my favorite place to get something to eat after midnight… actually it’s one of the only places to get eats after midnight in Alameda :)
