Harmony Center for the Joyful Spirit

I began attending these celebrations in 2010 (WOW! Time flies!) and have been completely delighted with who I’ve met and what I’ve found.
The folks in regular attendance are friendly and truly, genuinely nice. The topics each week are interesting, uplifting and relevant to current challenges and opportunities. Each week, the presentation is filled with quotes from philosophers, artists, authors and leaders throughout history. The «Joyful Harmony Band» plays contemporary music while words are projected above the band to encourage singing along. Each week a «spiritual practice card» is created to help attendees carry the concepts into daily life.
Celebration attendees are from various religious backgrounds and hold differing beliefs but remain comfortable with themselves and respectful of diversity. There isn’t any pressure to conform or agree to a particular doctrine or dogma. Instead the culture encourages participants to consider their own perspective and application of various ideas.
After the celebration, delicious fresh fruits and vegetables (and often yummy baked goods) are shared and friends catch up. Programs related to the Community or Health follow the snacks.
I spend time on so many things each week, I thought it would be a really good idea to schedule in some time each week to think about my connection to others and how I can be at my best more often. The Harmony Center for the Joyful Spirit is a great place to spend that time and find inspiration.
