I found these guys while I was trying to find a local shop to do some custom work for my wife’s studio/​office. I went in to check out their showroom, which is in a cool, old loft space. They have examples of various fixtures and furniture that they’ve made and it’s all very professional looking. My wife went back and had a design consultation with them and she was really happy with the whole process. When the table and chairs arrived, they were pretty phenomenal. We’re going to order lights and a hive table for our house soon!

wow, what a showroom. super helpful staff. insane quality. the stuff they sell is of such high quality, i’m not sure how they offer it for so cheap. it’s a little tough to find the location and the elevator is a little old, but once you’re inside their showroom you’re in a diff world. probably just call them if you get lost.
so yea, i’ve used h&h for basically my entire company office (desks, lights, tables, couch) in sf and constantly get compliments whenever we have meetings. next up i’m doing my house with their stuff. apparently they have sheets and linens now so that’s huge. i keep looking at other companies, but restoration hardware and the like charge more and have their stuff made in china. it’s so cheap. i’d much rather support a local business with better stuff anyway.
the desks i had were made custom — they had me personally approve everything and made sure i loved them before considering my desks done. if i came in and said «oh i don’t like that color, it’s a little too light» they’d restain it and make it perfect.
only downside is if you’re used to paying $ 10 for a lamp from ikea, you’re going to think this stuff is expensive. but this stuff is so far beyond the quality of ikea they’re not even comparable. you get way more than what you pay for.
