I had to move away from the neighborhood recently, and it might seem silly but one of the things I miss is this place. Marco, the owner, is always on top of things and goes out of his way to make his customers happy. If you don’t see what you like, he’ll make a point of getting it for you. And it’s not just a store — I almost always run into some of my favorite people there. Honestly, it’s almost like«Cheers».

Grand Piedmont Liquors isn’t grand and it’s not on Piedmont. clean store, not cluttered with merchandise. wines not so plentiful. micros brews the usual plus some brit names. randomly looked at a few bottles. pricing on cap. brew: organic pale ale, samuel smith(4.99) –not light like usual ale, medium bodied –goes good with spicy food(which i happen to have) take outs: –guess cashier was friendly, saw a slight smile. biz dead here, no parking available, –selection not so diverse, but no waiting!

A cool little liquor hole on the border of lower hills and piedmont. They have some kooky beverages and are a fully stocked liquor establishment. Guy behind the counter is cool and they carry Bunderberg Australian Ginger Beer. That’s usually relegated to higher and grocers. Bonus. 3.5 stars
