My usual hair person is out of commission, and I was referred to Gerard’s. Jerry and Nuch are sweet, thoughtful people, but what is more important, they do a really great job of color and cuts. Thank you both!

Okay! I am not kidding! $ 65 for all over hair color roots to end in Piedmont Ave??? Yeah! Most of the hair salons nearby charging at least $ 85 to $ 100 some of them can go as high as $ 125 JUST for all over hair color, roots to end!!!
Nuzh, is awesome, she made my hair looking shiny, healthy and glowing! She has an amazing talent and touch, and the product she uses on my hair is a very high quality product! She and her husband are amazing, friendly and talented.
I am coming back for my touch up and will keep coming back to support this local business!

This place is so wonderful. Jerry’s been cutting hair on the Avenue for more than 30 years, and he knows everyone. If there is a better way to support a local business than going here, I can’t name one.
PLUS, they take their time, do a great job, and are as inviting and kind as they can possibly be.

First, this review is long overdue! Myself and my two teenage daughters have been coming to Jerry (of Gerard’s) and Nuch (his lovely wife) for several years now and are ALWAYS so pleased! They are both talented and warm-​hearted and want only for you to be happy with the final result. While I hate to admit it, I’m what you would call a «High-​maintainence, good-​hearted type» and can easily drive a stylist crazy by checking in often regarding what exactly is being done, cut or curled for fear I’ll mis-​communicate my preferences and walk out miserable. In fact, they never seem a bit annoyed and always thank me for my input. They laugh warmly when I explain that I have «Post Traumatic Bad Haircut Syndrome» and assure me my concerns are valid and that they’ll go very slow. They really, really, really listen to what you want and go to lengths to be sure you are pleased. Once, for example, my teenage daughter got a perm, and because her hair is very straight and fine, it just didn’t take. WIthout hesitation, they re-​permed her hair (at no charge), and it turned out beautiful! Honestly, I can’t say enough about Jerry and Nuch. Their hair cuts are the fabulous, their hair color designs are to dye for (punn intended-​I couldn’t resist), and their customer service is the absolute best! The only thing I regret is not posting this a long time ago.
