This parking garage must have been the place to park back in the day when shoppers crowded downtown Oakland. Now, it seems to serve the local businesses. No problem parking here if you need to be downtown.
Closes at 8pm during the week. Hopefully, more restaurants will open around the garage because parking can be so difficult these days. Entrance on Webster until later in the evening. Exit on Franklin.

As parking goes, this is pretty good. It’s on the block next to my work, it’s covered and at $ 10/​day, it can certainly add up over a month, it’s bearable, especially since I drive to work only sometimes.
The entrance is on the South side, which takes some getting used to with Oakland’s one way system, but I’m sure I’ll eventually figure out the best route. There’s also free bicycle parking, which I think will be the best bet when I do cycle to work (my bike is probably not worth taking, not that I won’t lock it up).
The only problem I have with parking in Oakland is that I often get disoriented when exiting a garage!

I work across the street and this is the best place to park. So much so that I switched to monthly parking for a very reasonable $ 160/​month! The attendants are awesome! One day a car backed into my car and made a big scratch in it. The attendant actually took down the make and model and license plate for me so I could report it! How’s that for customer service? Good looking out!

Best place to park if you are using the 12th Street BART station. Safe parking with attendants.

Most of the time I walk or bike to work, but when I have to drive, I park here in the big yellow garage for 10 bucks a day. It’s close to everything in city center, and you can always find parking on the roof.

This is the best garage for Project Heartbeat’s ACLS, PALS and BLS students. The guys who work here are very friendly. Except for Saleh, he is from Yemen.

This little gem is hidden away from the main throughfare’s were you look for parking in Downtown Oakland; however, the prices are very reasonable and the lot always seems to have plenty of space.
If you’re not afraid to walk an extra 2 – 4 blocks, go here. The less time I have to spend dealing with parking, the more time I get to spend doing the stuff I want to in Oakland!
