We normally order pizza before the holidays and get it delivered to our house in the Oakland hills but the woman who answered was confusing and rude. First she asked for my order then my address, then told me she couldn’t deliver it to our house. When I told her that’s weird since they’ve delivered in the past she put me on hold and asked for my order again. Confused, I asked if that meant they could deliver and she said«ma’am that’s why I’m taking your order». Because of her confusing customer service we opted to pick it up since we weren’t sure if she understood how to take a delivery order. Pizza is of course still good but sad that we had to deal with poor service.

Kitchen Sink, replace the olives and mushrooms with tomato and pineapple. Kids are happy, and they have Marzen beer. They always seem to accommodate special requests and are bike friendly(we are allowed to park them in doors). A best practice is to order over the phone so the pizza has time to be made, and cool, before arriving.

When I’m at home here in the Montclair Dist. and wanting pizza, this is the closest place. Normally I don’t do delivered pizza, just cause it’s never as crispy crust and hot as if you are it right at the restaurant all piping hot right out of the oven. But every once in awhile when I’m sick at home or is raining like hell(does that happen any more?) I just don’t want to leave the house, I’ll do a delivery. We’re pretty close to the village in the hills, so it’s not too far to go. The pizza usually arrives within the allotted time, but still it’s not as hot as if I was at the restaurant. Cybelle’s is not the cheapest pizza around being that I pay around $ 26 for a med combo Supreme. A comparable pizza at La Vals in Berkeley would be around $ 19. But I’m not driving all the way to Berkeley to save $ 7 bucks. The pizza itself is good, maybe not as good as I think a $ 26 med pizza ought to be. Service is fine when I’ve called and been in to pick up. Cybelle’s has been here since high school days and still continues to be a steady restaurant in Montclair. Having Cybelle’s in Montclair is like driving a Toyota Corolla, dependable, but nothing to get excited over. I’m glad it’s here.

Extra Large thick crust is what’s for dinner and lunch the next day. The pizza is always consistently delicious and delivered on time.

This place has pizza of any combo and salad only. They don’t have side dishes like hot wings, bread, stuff you would want to eat with pizza. Customer service is 2 stars. No eye contacts no nothing. The 3 stars is for good pizzas. Oh well.

Don’t be fooled by this place, the pizza is WONDERFUL!!! A friend of mine has been saying for years, you want good pizza go to Cybelle’s. I finally decided it was time for me to try this place. I walked in and it was your regular olé pizza joint. Nothing fancy. I ordered a slice with sausage, pineapples and red onions. My favorite combo. Plus an orange fanta. I sat down, did the norm and started texting. Now, I will say, I was completely shocked by the price. $ 10 for a slice of pizza and a drink. I was actually texting my friend who referred me to the place to complain on the price but when my pizza arrived at my table I was flabbergasted!!! It was enough to feed 2 people. Biggest SLICE I’ve ever seen. Not to mention, it was freaking delicious!!! The sausage was decadent! The pineapple added the right amount of sweetness and I had just paid $ 10 for the best thing in my life. Ahhhh I Love Pizza and I LOVE Cybelle’s!!!

Good pizza but they’re very slow and bad at estimating pickup times. The crust is amazing though, and I’m the type to come back so long as the food is great. Just beware the time issue if you’re picking up or doing delivery.

Still getting pizza from Cybelle’s all these years later. I still love the Popeye(the pie I mentioned below) but am now growing fonder of the chicken BBQ pizza. Delivery has gotten faster and is still free, which is a bonus in my book, especial;y since the pizza is pretty expensive — $ 20.60 for a small pie, including tax. It’s worth it — check it out if you’re looking for some good pizza in the area.

Pizza is pretty good — above average. And I prefer it over Pizza Rustica, rival joint. The crust is tasty, ingredients are pretty good quality and toppings are generous. The pizza does lean on the sweet side so, like other reviews, get something salty on the pie! My gripes: — delivery takes forever — easily over an hour+ — pizza often arrives warm — nowhere close to hot — my order was wrong and now I’m stuck waiting for my new pizza(after being told that I have to return the wrong one intact)… :(

Got a flier from Cybelle’s and decided to check it out. They offer tomato-less pizza which is great for me. We ordered«Chicken on the green». Not the most amazing pizza. But it is pizza. Next time I will add something salty to the pizza like prosciutto, ham, bacon or capers. The crust was good, Though, my test if a pizza is good, is how it tastes for breakfast, and the crust was a bit soggier than i would have liked. All in all — it’s pizza and i am sure we ill get it again.

Had an unpleasant experience with a bum in this restaurant. On the way out, he yelled a racial epithet in reference to Obama. The food was okay, like other people have said, the pizza is bland and doughy. I won’t be back.

Their Hawaiian and Meat Pie Pizzas are what I usually get at this Bay Area chain restaurant. Depending on your ‘za flavor-mood, these baked-topped wonders will stack up to any pizza joint. The Montclair location is smallish in size and is built for delivery or take-out. The folks here are friendly. Ample parking up the street, where I often see ducks and geese from the nearby Montclair Recreation Center. Quack…

I went here because I felt Round Table was over priced without a coupon for what you got. The online menu shows the pizza I ordered for $ 6.00 less than the equivalent RT pizza. When I went to pick up the pizza, I was charged the same price as a RT pizza. When I questioned the price, I was told they did not honor the online price! Compared to the RT pizza, this pizza is bland, less toppings and too much dough. VERY disappointed. I feel ripped off. Mark me down as a one time customer.

Have been coming to this Cybelle’s for years. We always get the slices and they are pretty good. They consistently make a good pizza unlike the Round Table on Mountain. We will always continue to come here. Good service also.

Ordered the«Herb» pizza and garlic cheese bread. Used a coupon. Would order from here again. –Pizza was 7 out of 10(I like it better than Lane Splitters) –Garlic Cheese bread was 8 out of 10 –Medium pizza easily fed 2 adults plus some leftovers –Delivery came right on time –Prices are high, but they are high all over Oakland for pizza –Take visa over the phone

Lazy evening stand-by since they deliver to my house with no delivery fee. Cybelle’s is a local chain doing a medium thickness crust which is on the sweeter side. It’s one of the few pizza crusts that I sometimes finish. The Greek Goddess with pesto(instead of red sauce), feta and veggies(broccoli!) is consistently tasty. ½ a pie is always Greek Goddess for the pescatarian g/f; the other veggie combos just don’t stack up. The other ½ pizzas have been less consistent, probably depending on who’s making the pies. Perfect amount of sauce, light sauce, heavy sauce, regular chicken instead of spicy on the Cajun, sporadic topping coverage, you get the idea. Maybe they make fewer of the Greek Goddess so concentrate more when making it? Still, when we reach for the drawer with the delivery menus, Cybelle’s usually comes out on top.

I went to Cybelle’s last night with my girlfriend, I got the Calzone and we also got a small pizza. Initially looking at the restaurant description and seeing only $ I was very surprised at how expensive it was. My calzone turned out to be about $ 11 – 12 with three toppings, it came out way bigger than I thought it was going to be and I thought it tasted pretty good, I have lower standards then my girlfriend. Our pizza came out and at first looks was just stuffed full of toppings and looked amazing, this pizza ended up costing about $ 20 for one of their special combos. After eating a slice or two and trying my calzone my girlfriend says to me, «this is alright, but I would much prefer Domino’s.» She said that the vegetables tasted good but the meet was very poor quality, she said it was all dark meat and just generally did not taste good; we had the grilled chicken added to her pizza. Unfortunately I am giving this place a 2 start rating, because I would have to agree with my girlfriend if you want pizza just go to Dominos it is less than half the price and is probably on par with taste. However if you want a calzone, I might say give this place a try.

Pizza, the staple of the American diet. Savory, greasy, goodness originating from the country that has had one of the most significant influences on American culture. In the Bay Area we have a strong foodie culture that lends itself to a multitude of options to suit the cravings of the most distinguished pie conissour. So needless to say, the bar is set very high. After a long day at work I arrive home way late, hungry, and in a non-speaking mood with my stove. You know where this is going. I pick up the phone and call Cybella’s. Being a fan of most things Greek, I order their medium 14″ Greek Goddess pizza. The pizza comes with pesto, spinach, broccoli, black olives, feta cheese & garlic. Broccoli on a pizza? Well, Cybella’s may have already lost George Bush Sr. vote, but I’m pro-veggie so I’m game. I added dices tomatoes to round it out. To give a little context, you must understand that the Montclair Markup is in full effect. What’s that you say? Well, when dining in the Montclair district, you can expect to pay 15 to 30% more when dining out. This is Montclair you know. Did you forget? This definitely applies at Cybella’s Montclair because they don’t offer the 12″ small pizza that is available at other locations. We don’t eat such small pizza up here. This brought the grand total to approx $ 21 for a 14″ specialty pizza. This was enough to raise an eyebrow, so let’s see if they deliver on quality. The pizza stayed true to it’s gourmet claims. It’s definitely a cut above you Roundtable/Domino’s pizza factory grade products. Cybella’s makes a great pizza. Its savory, full of flavor, and for the crust-a-holics, crust is crunchy on the outside, soft inside. A great pizza for those who enjoy treating yourself every now and then. For those Bay Area pizza aficionados(and you know who you are), you’ll find that Cybella’s is good but doesn’t stand up to the insider pizza shops. To give you a gauge, I would rank Arizmendi(see my review) as a distinct cut above Cybella’s. Overall, you won’t be disappointed with Cybella’s. If you can get past the Montclair Markup, you enjoy this solid entry into the gourmet pizza market

Here’s how it went: 9pm — We order a pizza for delivery. ETA: 45 to 60 minutes. 10:20pm — Pizza not here 1 hour and 20 minutes later. We call, and they tell us the driver is on his way(we live about 5 minutes away). 10:40pm — We get a call from Cybelle’s. The driver couldn’t find our apartment and didn’t bother to call us. Then he left for the night. They say they won’t be delivering us a pizza. That is NOT okay. «I hate them,» says my wife. I wish I could say that it’s the worst experience with pizza delivery I’ve ever had. For the worst experience with pizza delivery I’ve ever had, please visit my Round Table review.

3.5 stars Rounding up because they deliver to the Oakland Hills and are open late. Perfect food to eat in an empty house with new plates from Target while enjoying the SF skyline. Pizza was really garlicy(got the supreme)… not good for a first date, but perfect if you want to torture your dogs. The buttery garlic bread gave me pimples but was very tasty. Will probably end up ordering from here again but only because it’s open late and I’m too drunk to drive down those crazy Oakland hills streets.
