Citibank

My wife and I are buying a condo and were referred to this Citibank by our realtor, who said that they were quick and competent. Since I was a long term account holder with Citibank, I thought this would be a good experience. Boy, was I wrong! We signed the loan paperwork on 9÷23÷2015 and had a pre-​approval letter. As October progressed there was no response to numerous emails and voice-​mails. Our realtor was unable to get a response from them too. On 10÷21÷15 they sent an email that said the comp inspection had been requested. Based on that, I gave 30 days notice on our apartment. After that, no more responses. My wife twice got the mortgage rep on the phone, and both times he promised to call back within an hour and never did. Finally she got through on 10÷30÷15, and he told her the inspection had not been requested yet. So his previous email was a lie. Now 11÷2÷15 and we cannot contact him. My realtor has been unable to contact him after many attempts. This is absolutely the worst mortgage and bank experience I have suffered. Evidently Citibank has bigger things to process than a mortgage. I am planning to move my account to another bank once I have processed the loan with another lender.

This is a very bad service bank. First, there is a very long waiting line, there are only 2 bankers working at the window and working very slowly. Second, when I trying to deposited money into someone’s account, the banker asks me if I have a bank account with them, and I said no. He told me that he need my ID and social security number since I’m deposits cash. Based on this experience, I decided I would not have any bank account with Citibank and I completely would not suggest to go to this Citibank. It is completely insane and wait your time in line.

This Citi Bank branch rocks! I work in the area and have been a customer there since it opened years ago. The customer service is outstanding. Mike, the Branch Manager, personally greets me when I go there. The tellers have been there for many years and are always helpful and friendly. Mira, Naeema, Juan and Paul are always eager to help with my finances.
I make it a point to go into this branch rather than use the outside ATM machine, because I love to get a friendly hello and fast help. The wait to get helped is always very short. I have been to other branches but this City Bank branch is outstanding and deserves a 5-​star review.

The tellers in this branch are always efficient with my transactions and pleasant to do business with.
