Solid coffee shop. Great breakfast sandwich and iced coffee. Nothing fancy but I’m happy to have it in the neighborhood.

Friendly and welcoming café with good sandwiches. I’m not usually in the area, but saw Caffe Nonna on Unilocal and it ended up being the perfect spot to hang out and read a book when I arrived early for an appointment nearby. There is more seating than appears from the pics on Unilocal

Was driving down Bancroft following GPS somewhere and passed this corner with a few shops I’d never seen before. Made my way back a few days later to check things out. Stopped in here for coffee and a muffin. Clean and pleasant place worth visiting and if you are often in the area to make a regular stop. The owner was very friendly and we had an interesting conversation. Maybe a 5th star if there were specific wifi but my iPad found a free xfinity signal there and you don’t need fast wifi everywhere you go! Food and coffee were good. I’ll be going back.

If I’m not in this place several times a week from now on it would only be because I’ve made it a point to make my own smoothies again. Her green smoothies are THEEBEST I’ve had outside of my own. And I’m a green smoothie snob — changing up every one I come across. She puts BUNCHES of fresh greens in and idk or care what else. So freaking good! And she’s a complete sweetheart.

Couldn’t order anything because the owners attitude was s#%^^y from the minute I walked in the door and asked what kind of Chai she carries. Needs a major attitude adjustment and an overhaul in customer service.

The caffe is nice and the menu is good prices are reasonable n its real food. I liked that the owner helped me order and was very kind. This part of bandcroft really needs a place like this is beautiful inside and the pastries look amazing. The smell inside is wonderful and mouth watering. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting which is a nice change from most places on the block. A Black Owned business like this can do so much good for the area and it looks like they are involved in helping the people better themselves also. im proud to spend my dollars here and give back. I got a hot tea and a breakfast burrito. The burrito was good it had eggs cheese turkey sausage and potatoes. It was made to order also which makes it even better. For my next trip ill do lunch and a dessert, this place is worth coming back to even if i dont live in the area.

I’ve said it before but absolutely love Caffè Nonna’s! The people who work there are wonderful, friendly, caring people who produce some of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had! I’ve also had a number of their other treats and everything is always delicious! Paired with exceptional customer service you can’t find a better place to grab breakfast.

I was in the neighborhood and was excited to find a place that offers wifi, breakfast and coffee. When I walked in I double checked on the wifi and was told that if I have xfinity then I could use their wifi. This is not free wifi. Free wifi means that you don’t need an account. It means it’s free. I was going to order a breakfast sandwich, but after the owner was done with a 10 minute conversation with another customer I didn’t feel I quite had time before an appointment I had. I went to pay for my tea as it was the first chance I had in her conversation and she told me I had 20 minute to finish my tea as I was using her wifi. I couldn’t believe she would put this stipulation on me when I was a paying customer. The location was empty. Completely empty. 2 customers came in during the 20 minutes I was there. I tried to explain to her that being a more welcoming establishment would mean she would be more successful. She wasn’t interested in being a friendly or welcoming establishment. Instead of finding a great new place, I stumbled on the most unwelcoming place in Oakland! Won’t be back. By the way the internet I ended up using was a businesses next door. I didn’t even use her wifi..

Café Nonna, is great. I’ve been twice in there and both times the service it has been excellent! Expect the best coffee and the best pastries baked in house by La Nonna. Great for the neighborhood since there is nothing like this in the near area… At Bancroft Ave and Fairfax Ave in East Oakland

Woke up this morning craaaaving a bagel with lox, so I searched around and found this little spot. First off, the café is so cute! So many windows. A really nice place to drink your morning coffee. Second, the service was great! They were really accommodating and so nice. And then there’s the bagel. Woah. So bomb. Sooo bomb. Perfectly toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, capers, onion and tomato. I didn’t try the smoothies this time. But I will be back to dabble with those delicious looking blends. I think I just found my new pre-work coffee stop.

I stop by this place about 3 – 4 days per week. I always get a large iced coffee and I sometimes get a cookie or(as of the last week 8 days, since it was introduced last Tuesday) the breakfast burrito. The iced coffee is slightly smaller but about $ 0.50 less expensive than your standard iced coffee and it’s probably above average(disclaimer: I am not a coffee expert, I just drink it); the breakfast burritos have been great so far(although I kind of wish there was an option to have guacamole instead of sausage), and the cookies are delicious. The owners and their employee are all friendly, and the service is good. I wish I had the time to set up shop for a bit there before heading into work, but I’m rarely running more than 5 minutes ahead of schedule, so that’s not been a thing yet. However, it looks like it has a nice setup for working/studying. 5⁄5 would go again and am, in fact, about to.

All I ahd was coffee and a cheesecake and i liked them both. Three choices of coffee! For a small place like that i would never expect that, super cool! The owner makes it feel like home, she serves with a smile that welcomes you to stay and enjoy. I had to choose between Café Nonna and a big diner across the street, definitely chose café Nonna and I’m glad I did.

Check out this lovely little café on the corner of Bancroft Ave and Fairfax Ave. They serve a variety of breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Not in the mood for breakfast, then enjoy some lunch! Breakfast consisted of a breakfast sandwich; fried egg, turkey sausage, and Pepper Jack cheese on a toasted onion bagel. Followed by a nice cup of coffee. I took home a slice of cheesecake for later! I was greeted with a smile and encouraged to come back! Stop by and support your local café!

I was rush to make a purchase. The owner was having a bad day. I was shooed out of the café after ten minutes. My over all experience was unpleasant and customer service was terrible.

Love this place. Best pound cake ever and the owners are so welcoming. They also have good soups and are generous with their salad toppings. Parking is usually ok. Nice, tasty, healthy food and good company. I highly recommend it.

#SocietyGirlHangout: Amazing little café that we certainly wish to see thrive. Quickly building it’s own community of cult visitors from within and outside of the area. Bright and inviting space with a adorable and charming owner behind the counter. It feels like home. Certainly an up and coming café to be frequented often before it’s popularity surges and it’s difficult to get in.
