I don’t know where this place is cuz I was just at 42014th St. Oakland and it wasn’t Blend Wings. It is a nightclub called the Venue. Nearby businesses couldn’t help me. Trying to call ended in an answering machine saying to call back later. So much for the Groupon I wanted to use. Very disappointed.

first time i ever left a bad review, I don’t like to. but I went there twice during business hours, and closed, called maybe 50 times, no answer, got a groupon, had to get a refund… I’m pissed, cuz i love wings. I’m super bummed … :(

Another that should get 0 Stars. Never open and they don’t answer the phone. Don’t bother through GrubHub either, as that number doesn’t work and the location is always locked. If you have a Groupon, just get a refund — it’s not worth trying to track them down.

I have never eaten at this establishment. My rating is based upon the fact that I have called numerous times during the business hours as posted on Unilocal to place an order but no one has ever answered the phone so that I may place an order. For that reason, they get one star for having a working voice mail. They also have a deal on Groupon but one would be an idiot to pay for something that is ghost on so many levels — no answer, no humans and presumably, no food.

They are there still. Picked up an order made through GrubHub just now. Problem is their number has changed and is still being updated on websites, and they moved up to the 2nd floor in the building.

I have a Groupon voucher and I have gone by the place half a dozen times in the past month and the door was always locked. And I always get the answering machine when tried the phone number listed on the wall next to the door.

As with another Unilocaler, I am unable to actually get a person on the phone because whenever I arrive there, the business is closed. The hours of operation they have on Facebook and Unilocal conflict as well. This leaves me unable to use a Groupon I purchased, for which I will file a complaint.

I don’t know if this is a legitimate business or a front for something else but they are never open. We purchased a Groupon a few months back and wanted to use it immediately but they were unreachable after numerous attempts. They never pick up their phone. Tell me if you ever actually reach them and get to try them because this place was a complete waste of time and effort.

Pretty good… pretty good. I ordered the habenero and lemon pepper wings and they were pretty flavorful… everything came out piping hot, so the fries were crispy and the wings too. My gf had bought the groupon deal so i can’t complain ha

I had a taste for hot wings and this was the only place close by. I ordered original hot but wasn’t hot at all… the lemon pepper was quite tasty. I’d give this place 5 stars but the wings were kinda small. However the guy did add a few more wings to compensate for the size. In this case size does matter. Heehee. Overall I would recommend giving this place a try!

Worst wings ever! Ordered off grubhub. Wasn’t notified when food was ready for pick up. Didn’t even get a call. Seasoned fries weren’t good. They were soggy. Wings I guess were alright considering how cheap they were(tiny wings) I wouldn’t order from this place ever again!

I love chicken wings! So when I saw an awesome deal on Groupon for some wings, of course I got it! So for $ 19 I would get TWO20 wing piece combo.(That’s 40 wings for less than $ 20) For each combo, I would get to choose 3 flavors and 4 sauces = 40 wings, 6 flavors, 8 sauces. Now I thought a combo order meant: wings, «veggie sticks,» and a soda.(according to a menu I saw and a few reviews I read on Unilocal) I read a lot of reviews about«celery sticks» and was expecting just that. I ordered fries as well since I wanted fries. I ordered the cajun, bbq, lemon, garlic, buffalo, salt & pepper. All ordered TOGO. I have been waiting all week for this. Tried to go on the weekend but they are only open at midnights! And on weekdays, open ’til 7pm. So I get off work, place an order at 5:45pm and am told to come pick up 45 minutes later. They didn’t ask for my phone number. I asked if they needed anything else beside my name and they said, «No.» What if I never came to pick it up? That’s 40 wings wasted! Gosh. I ask them if I should call back(or maybe they could call me to let me know my order was ready) but they said, just come down. So I get to downtown at 6:30, find parking(impossible if had gone during the day) and go get my stuff. Location is hard to see. It was between a hotel looking place(could have been a bar, I don’t know) and Rite Aid. I only saw it because as I was walking on sidewalk there was a sign outside so I looked over and saw a set of double doors opened and followed that in to the actual location. So when I went to pick up my food, the guy says I’m late. Huh?(Didn’t he say 45 mins. That’s why they should have taken my phone to call me to come earlier.) He kinds of tosses the bagged up to-go plates at me. I did not like how he handled the food. The plates were all tossed. I HATE it when restaurants don’t bag up food carefully or hand it over carefully and all the food spills out. I was very confused at this point. He kinds of just stands there. I didn’t know what to do. He didn’t ask for my name, groupon or payment. Surprised he even knew I was the one who placed the order on the phone. I could’ve been a random person coming in to place an order and would have walked away with free food. So I’m standing there looking around(the décor is like what other reviewers have stated. There was also a movie projected on a wall) and I’m thinking«Is this it? Do I just leave now?» then I ask the man if he would like my groupon. He says yeah and I hand it over. Then I’m still standing there with my wallet waiting to pay for my «extra» fries. He finally says oh yeah and I give him $ 3. When I ordered the fries, I wished they had told me, «The combo meal already comes with fries.» The guy on phone did ask me, «You want fries?» I should have taken his tone as «Duh, fries are included, so you want additional fries?» I’m the idiot for not reading that the combo already comes with fries. I do wished he had asked me and clarify that point though. Who wants that much fries? This part is totally my fault for not realizing that. Now I get home and see the celery sticks under my wings. I still haven’t even counted to make sure I got 40 or that I got the right flavors. I trusted them to get my order correct. For sure though I DIDNOTGETTHE8SAUCES I was supposed to get. I only got 2 little cups of ranch. That is not a sauce! Of course when I get home it’s already 7pm so I am not getting my sauce and am not going to try and go back to get it tomorrow. So I’m already not happy with the way they handled the beginning of my transaction and now I don’t even have the sauces I was entitled to.(Explains why I am only giving 2 stars) My fault again I guess. I should have checked my stuff before I left that place. But then again, of course, they should have done their job correctly. I asked them over the phone about the flavors and sauces too. Ugh. I thought it was bagged up but turns out it wasn’t. So no sauce for us except 2 little ranches. All week for this? Huh… Fries were soggy(just the way I like them, seriously I like soggy fries). Maybe they were soggy since I «was late» picking up my order. You get a lot for $ 2 something. It came in one of those big to go platters. Now I am NOT commenting on the taste of the wings yet as I only tried one buffalo one. I’m saving these for tomorrow. Will update taste later. The buffalo did have a spicy ting to it. Love that! Wings are small like other reviewers stated. I knew that but was like heck I’m getting 40 and other stuff for less than $ 20. I was not happy with customer service today as you can tell. Tips: If you see a Groupon deal, check out the place first before purchasing the deal. When you order food, make sure you have all your things before you leave. (Things I know but forgot to do. My fault as well).

Good first experience here today. I placed my 10 Wings Combo order online through the Unilocal/Eat 24 portal. When I arrived, my order was ready. I took the order to go and enjoyed the meal at my office. The wings are small, in comparison to Buffalo Wild Wings and Wing Stop, however, I was pleased with the flavor and tenderness. The seasoned fries were tasty. The carrot and celery mix, was missing carrots. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Will be back.

I got a groupon, $ 10 for 2 order of the 10 wing combo, each combo came with 10 wings, fries, veggie stick(3 celery sticks), 1 soda and 1 dip. Meh wings are really small. I mean smaller than wingstop, and the flavor were NOT there. I ordered cajun, chili and lime, lemon pepper and buffalo. I was disappointed in all except buffalo. If it wasn’t for the groupon, i would not go back. yeah. Thats that,

Cross between modern art gallery/hobby work shop /wing place. Its hard to tell if construction has finished yet. There is no signage on the outside, but just look for the black Vinyl at Venue awning. Blend Wings is on the 1st floor. I ordered the 10 piece combo — $ 8.59(comes with seasoned fries, veggie sticks and a soda). I will review the 4 flavors of wings below, but I need to speak of the side dishes first. The seasoned fries were basically fries(a large order) with a red color power on top… I really could not taste much of the seasoning. The veggies sticks were only 2 sticks of celery… no carrots. Flavors that I tried: Sweet Chili Glazed — its the same sweet chili sauce out of the bottle of the shelf of the nearest Asian market Garlic Salt & Pepper — little on the salty side… taste like the seasoning you get from Costco New Orleans Cajun — also salty, no heat at all like what you would expect from Cajun Garlic Parmesan — also on the salty side, but it was very cheesy… which is good, but it over powered the garlic My friend also ordered 10 wings, but got 15 wings… bonus!!! However the size of the wings we both received was a little on the small side. There appears to be various art work on the walls along with some places to hang your bikes(at least that is what they look like). There were boxes of vinyl records on some tables… the tables looks like they were constructed of 2 x 4s… which is not bad, but they needed to be wiped down. Bathroom is a single unisex room. No soap in the dispenser, no paper towels in the dispenser and there is an empty towel roll on top of the dispenser.

meh. the wings were very small, the hot wing sauce wasn’t that hot, they weren’t all adequately sauced, and i asked for blue cheese and they gave me ranch. when I eat wings, I hope they’re so delicious that I’m not worried for the welfare of the chickens that made my meal. the fact that some of the wings were literal 2 inches definitely does. 2 stars because they deliver.

Saw this joint just open up by the 12th St. Bart station and thought I’d give it a shot. Not really«the best wings in town» as advertised — their flavors are alright yet don’t really penetrate past the chicken skin. It also doesn’t help that their wings are pretty small compared to most chain chicken joints. The real saving grace is the place’s ambience: art pieces all over, DJ table blastin’ classic hip hop/RnB, and wall mountable bike racks. Overall, a nice place to hang out but would rather grab food elsewhere.
