Bee Healthy Honey shop

i love the bee healthy honey shop.
they have the highest quality and truly reasonable prices. the people who work there are SO helpful, kind and knowledgeable.
i adore the bees wax skin lotion. it makes my skin so happy! (my skin was especially happy to have this when i came back from burning man.) the honey is delicious AND local. the bees wax candles smell lovely and last a long time. i also liked the lip balm and bee pollen.
oh! and i love the beehive they have right by the door. you can see the bees do their thing and they fly way out of the top above the roof so if you’re scared of them you don’t have to worry. ;)

I picked up some bee pollen at $ 7/​jar (4oz). It was my first time trying it so no great point of comparison but it tasted pleasant with no bitterness or off-​notes. I loved that everything was local to Berkeley and Oakland. The man running the store was super friendly and helpful. I might stop by next time for some beeswax!

The local honey we purchased was made in Berkeley, CA. Their honey isn’t like the honey you buy at Safeway, or other large markets. Not even Whole Foods has the kinds of honey, as the honeys sold here.
Not only do you find honey, but lots of lotions, shampoo’s, books, trinkets, and candles. The amount of honey, and the many grades of honey, plus flavors, are numerous in count. But not to worry, because the son of the owner will explain everything to you, with a nice smile. Many people come and go, and make quick purchases. I think they’re the usuals who already know what they need. He usually calls his customers by name, and is very kind to everyone. A very giving warm individual.
When I got home and opened the honey jar, I took a scoop for taste… IT WAS GREAT. Very easy to eat, as it melts instantly on contact with your tongue! Next time I’m going to buy their bee pollen, it’ll be great for my family’s allergies. I’m the only one without allergies. Also, i’ll get that honey dipper with the swirl grooves. so cute and cool!

Seen this store accidentally as we were driving. Made a quick u-​turn to get there.
When you first walk in it as though it had just opened and is ready for a grand opening celebration. Only to learn they have been open for 5 years. LOL
They offer samples of the local honeys, which is delectable. The price for the product is very good. Most of their active hives are around the Oakland — Berkeley boarder. Which gives the honey a great taste. I love bee pollen, so bought a jar for $ 7– So worth the price.
The young man who was working the counter was friendly and knowledgeable. He was great in answering questions and suggestions.
They also have a nice little selection of bee’s wax candles.
I’ll make sure I stop in whenever I’m in Oakland.

Best local honey anywhere in the area period. I get a lot of local honey for my allergies at farmers markets, but NONE of that honey has actually helped, plus it’s usually way more expensive than at Bee Healthy. I got a 16oz jar of honey here for only $ 9 and I started feeling the difference within 3 days. The honey is absolutely delicious and it’s the only one I’ve had that actually helps with my allergies.
