I love this place! The staff are super nice and friendly and the prices are GREAT. I’m not into fancy(this place is not fancy) and there are tons of yummy food options at the best prices. I try to stop here when I’m in the area.

Came for breakfast and got so much more. I had a bacon and egg croissant’s with a few spring rolls AND some hi chews. Because who can resist any of that??? Not me anyways. This is my new favorite one stop shop brealfast(lunch spot) it’s a small deli with Vietnamese dishes. It’s must try & the prices are on point.

This is my favorite place for banh mi. It’s a small deli run by a lovely Vietnamese couple. Their bread is fresh, along with the meats and veggies. Their pickled daikon and carrots are just the right balance of sweet, sour, and salty. They use actual liver pâté in their sandwiches as well, which adds to the authenticity. In addition to sandwiches, they have a large selection of drinks, chips, coffee, fruits, phở, and more. I highly recommend this place!

I’ve eaten shrimp cabbage salads from many different places and the one served here is one of the better ones. It had lots of herbs, the portion was generous, and the fish sauce was tasty. Priced at under $ 7, it’s a great deal. I also had the mango smoothie and it was delicious too. Can’t wait to go back.

I love the #20 Bánh mì(ham & headcheese, jalapeños, pâté spread, mayonnaise, pickled carrots & daikon) on a slightly toasted(by request) Vietnamese baguette.

Glad I found this place. Super close to were I live. Cashier who took orders was very nice. The place is tiny and was super busy so we took our food home. We came around noon. I ordered the fish cake banh mi and the shredded pork banh mi and spam rice plate for my partner. All were yummy and hit the spot. Prices are extremely affordable too.

Ok, Annie’s has now become a daily ritual. …I have to have my Vietnamese iced coffee. …the greatest thing since Starbucks. …lol. I have found my new fix for the day. This is what keeps me going throughout the day. Their very nice and always accommodating. A friendly atmosphere and will make sure you are happy with your service. Even the one time I complained they made sure to make it right and fix my drink the way I asked the next time. Thank you Annie’s for being the start to a great day!

Love this place! The people here are friendly and their prices are extremely affordable. I always try to get their egg rolls when I visit. They have meat and veggie options for that. You just gotta try it! Also, they have lunch packs that are very convenient to pick up when you are in a rush. So many various food options from sandwiches, soups, fruits to different types of beverages and I could just go on and on. You get the idea! :) I love giving them my business because they are good people and this place is conveniently located right outside of the building where I work in! Outstanding!

A good place for grab-n-go lunch or breakfast! Well, if you order something they have to make, like a sandwich, it’s not really grabbing and going, but you’re still in and out under 5 minutes. I usually get the #19 combo bahn mi. I’ve tried their ready made rice plates, and it’s hit or miss. I got the cha sui and chicken plate one time, but got a big chunk of chicken bone with little meat. It was disappointing, but I just stay away from the chicken now. Service is quick and not rude. The egg rolls are pretty fresh so I get those also if I wanna treat myself. They put some seriously thick cut jalepenos in their sandwiches, so be warned! If you can take it and enjoy that burning sensation that only jalepeno seeds can leave in your mouth, then go for it. I will opt out. I come here at least once a week since it’s a short walk from work. The prices are very reasonable and the food/portions is enough for lunch.

This place is amazing and has everything from food, slushis, chapstick, cold/pain meds, and even ciggs! I come for their pork lumpia/egg rolls and their ice blended fruit drinks. The owner is really gracious and is always smiling when I come in. As you can see from so. e of my pictures they have many things to eat and drink… literally the only thing they do not have is a bar :) The interior of the place is nothing fancy, but its clean, never overly crowded, and has great food and drinks at a very decent price. I come in almost everyday whether its for myself or a co worker that Im introducing to the place for the first time. This place has most everything anyone could want in a café/place to eat so I advise anyone that gets the chance to check this place out do so… Cheers to Annies & its owners!!!

Small and quiet. The veggie Rolls and spring rolls are appealing to me, but not everything.

I’ve come past here more than a few times, and with more hope than sense I went in today to peer at the menu. There is a vege croissant, but that’s hardly going to be vegan. I think perhaps they could have made something custom, but given the guy’s English, I didn’t want to risk it. Oh well.

Cheap Banh Mi, but I think they use some kind of fish pâté here. A few people who got the Banh Mi here also said that it had an overwhelming fish taste. It’s an overall decent sandwich, but be warned if you can’t deal with that taste.

If you work in the area, you could do much worse for lunch. The small staff is friendly and efficient and the food is always fresh tasting. I come here every few weeks for lunch because I work in Frank Ogawa Plaza, and I get the vegetarian Vietnamese sandwich. The tofu or whatever the stuff is in the sandwich is marinated in something delicious, and the texture is excellent for making sandwiches. I’m never disappointed. The sandwiches aren’t very big, but cheap. I am full after eating one, but I couldn’t get stuffed. If you are a big eater, just get two. Sometimes they buy produce from the farmer’s market out front and use it or resell it when you come for lunch. Which is nice, because I’m never there for the farmer’s market.

Small combo American /Vietnamese deli. Breakfast sandwiches, deli sandwiches on bread, bagels, or croissants, Banh Mi, etc. All of the banh mi variants are $ 3.50 so a touch more than you’d find in Chinatown. I got the #19 Combo Banh Mi which had cold cuts, cha lua, pâté, pickled veggies, cucumber spear, and jalapeño slices(I got it with no cilantro ) The toasted baguette had nice crackly crust. Decent amount of the meats, but not as generous as Amy’s pic and very little pâté( ). The carrot and radish could have been pickled a bit more for my taste, but overall a good banh mi.

Annie’s deli is super close to my school, and often where alot of my classmates go to grab a snack. They have everything from donuts to banh mi to fresh fruit. Prices are cheap for downtown oakland, and the service is nice! I recommend coming here if you’re wanting a cheap snack or meal. Note: $ 5 min on credit card transactions

I never grow tired of the #23 Pork Sandwich but today, I went«out of the box» and tried a small won ton soup to go. I called it in and was told it would be ready in 5 minutes — no lie! It came in a good size sturdy container for a small portion. The first thing I noticed when I lifted the lid was the spattering of fragrant fried onions. They were small but very tasty. There was chunks of cabbage, and a generous amount of delicious meaty and brainy looking won tons. The broth was very good and garlicky. After eating half of the soup I got pretty full. For less than 4 dollars I was happy, full and will repurpose the sturdy plastic container. The owner, John, is very well like by his customers which includes me. I bought a few lottery tickets from him. I won two $ 100.00 tickets. Yup, love this place!

Thank goodness for a lil Vietnamese café shop nearby my work place in downtown. I don’t have to walk all the way to Chinatown when craving for vietnamese snacks. Although, it’s about 25 cents — a dollar more than Chinatown prices. It’s still considered cheap. This place has a variety of breakfast/lunch items. Open M-F from 6:30a — 4:30p. Sat from 10a — 4:30p. Closed Sundays. They have American breakfast & lunch sandwich, Vietnamese bahn mi, spring rolls, salads, fruits, mangos, croissants, donuts, steam pork buns & variety of pastries, egg rolls, cold drink selections, chips, american/vietnamese coffee, lattes, chai teas, smoothies, and more. FYI — $ 5 minimum for Visa/MC charge. It’s small, cute and nicely remodeled inside & out. Feels & looks new. A couple tables to sit down. There are still some construction going on outside. This area has improved compared to before. It was sketchy due to the motel and homeless people hanging around outside. Plus, there’s always a police car parked outside or CHP officer walking around the State building and this area for security. That’s a plus. Staff are very nice here. The guy reminds me of my dad. I miss him. I will definitely come here more often.
