Food is terrible and expensive. Not Worth the money. Ordered soft shell crab, dragon n salmon roll, quality is poor. Taste bad. It was my first time going to this restaurant bc of the decent reviews but I was fooled… Mistaken…

I order from here all the time when I’m at home so I always expect the best but I just got back from school and I decided I was craving some sushi. I ordered in advance on Unilocal and went to go pick it up on my way home. I got the sushi and sashimi special which is chefs choice of assorted fishes. However, when I got home and opened my package, assorted fish meant all tuna. I had tuna sashimi, tuna sushi and tuna rolls. I was extremely disappointed since I’ve ordered it in the past and I’ve always gotten an actual assortment. Additionally, I hate cucumbers and I specifically wrote no cucumbers on the directions however I received a ton of cucumber in my California roll which wasn’t roll nicely and was actually falling apart. Presentation was extremely sloppy and I was just unhappy with my food. It actually made me feel a little sick so I couldn’t finish it. It’s such a shame because this was my go to but now I’m having second thoughts about ordering from them again.

Wow! I am thoroughly impressed with this«hole in the wall«sushi restaurant. Bayside is known for its ubiquitous Sushi joints, however, this small spot serves some serious sushi. I went with the sashimi lunch special. It came with six gigantic pieces of delicious and fresh fish. It also came with a soup or a salad. $ 8.95 is a fantastic deal for the amount of food you receive. I also ordered some uni, yellowtail and tamago. The uni was delicious and creamy and rich. The yellowtail was robust and full of flavor. The tamago was on par with some of the best sushi joints I have ever gone to. I highly recommend you order several pieces of it. In addition, the place is warm and welcoming, the beers and Saki are inexpensive and the service is friendly.

Sushi you has thee best sushi in my neighborhood. I always order from them now, they have great service and very polite employees. I would recommend this place to go for lunch or early dinner, it isn’t that big of a restaurant. So if you’re looking for take out, this is the place

My boys love this place, so if it is good enough to satisfy a 13 and 16 year old then it is good enough for me. They enjoy the teriyaki lunch specials and the hand made rolls. And for dessert the fried ice cream is always a hit.

The fact that everything near us was closed on Easter had us venture a little further out. Glad we did, because Sushi You was fantastic. Those that greeted us were in high spirit which is always something that makes a dine in experience great. They’re three roll lunch special for $ 12 comes with miso soup. The fish was definitely fresh. We came here early enough to actually see the sushi chef cut into the whole salmon.

I ordered on and they always delivered when they promised. Good choice of Japanese food. Quality is good as well.

Sushi You is probably one of the best sushi places you can find for cheap in NY. First time I tried it was take out Dragon Roll with my friend, then I came to eat-in with my spouse and third time I ordered delivery. Their Dragon Roll is not consistent. Since I loved it so much when I bought it for take-out, I ordered it again when we ate-in, it wasn’t the same. The eel was much harder to chew and it was almost getting stuck on my throat. The people are very friendly once entering however waiter took very long to take our orders and once we called her she told us to wait because she was talking to her other waiter friend. Usually, I would not tolarate this at all however it was late and they also brought the house special that was just too good for words.(Spicy crab salad). I just could not stop eating it. My spouse told me to «save room for your dragon roll» and i kept on telling him to hush up because it just tasted so good. He ordered chicken teriyaki with rice which was pretty fresh as well(comes boiling in the plate). One day, I had a hankering for that crab salad and I went on GrubHub to order it along with salmon salad. It was just amazing! I scraped it all off and need more!

The only worthwhile sushi spot in range of my Seamless app when I’m home.(Because let’s be honest — some nights, you just really don’t want to cook, buy groceries, or leave the comfort of your house in general.) I’ve ordered their 3-roll lunch special combo several times because it’s a solid deal, but the miso soup could use more flavor and the avocado is always too ripe. Given the vast number of Japanese restaurants near Bayside, I would not come to Sushi You for a sit-down meal but delivery/takeout can be a super quick and convenient option.

Sushi You is one of the many non-authentic Japanese sushi restaurants that actually makes good sushi rolls and is not mostly rice. Ordering is convenient via the EAT24 online service where you can schedule the pickup time. Even though the restaurant is two miles away from home, I’ve ordered take-out(mostly sushi/sashimi) from Sushi You a few times already without complaints. Though I’ve never dined at the restaurant, I’d give Sushi You four Unilocal stars for their sushi rolls and the convenience of ordering take-out online.

Definitely my favorite sushi spot in the neighborhood. They don’t skimp on the fish. I usually order the three roll combo(spicy yellowtail roll is my fave from this deal) and I’m always pleasantly surprised with how much fish they put into the rolls. A very thin layer of rice with a lot of fresh meat is what I’m looking for in a roll! The spicy kani salad is refreshing but lacking in flavor. I’ve dined in once and they gave us an appetizer on the house which was so nice of them. Metered parking in the front and free residential parking around the neighborhood.

I’m really turned off by their food delivery men. Time and time again, they always ask me to leave of my office building to pick up my food. Normally, that does not tick me off.(I try to keep my «hangry» level in check). However, today was an exception. This is a few days after Blizzard Jonas hit New York, so it’s understandably difficult to find parking. The food delivery man was not decent enough to drive his SUV up to the curb so I can get my food with ease. Therefore, I had to walk into a huge puddle of dirty snow slush just to pick up my delivery from the food delivery man. He drove off without so much of an apology. I was hoping that their food would make up for their poor delivery service. Nope. The quality of their food has drastically decreased from the first time I ordered from them. The rice in each of the three(3) different sushi rolls that I ordered was ridiculously measly. Their miso soup was a joke. If I had know they were just gonna fill a container with mostly water instead of miso soup, I wouldn’t have ordered a bottle of water. After today, I will not be ordering from Sushi You.

The freshest, most delicious sushi in the neighborhood! One of the many things that made me fall in love with Sushi You is the way they make their spicy tuna/salmon rolls. Some places like to load these up with the crunchy thingies and very little fish. Sushi you adds hardly any crunchy flakes, almost all fish. Also, their fish to rice ratio on the rolls is on point!!! Sushi lovers know what I’m talking about! My always go-to. Love YOU sushi YOU

For some odd reason, whenever I get home after a trip, I crave cheap sushi! After going on a week long business trip in Knoxville, TN and enjoying all sorts of seafood, grits, and BBQ, my body needed a cleanse. Sushi is my go-to meal when I need something light. I went on Unilocal and ordered from the website and it was super easy to place my order in the convenience of my home w/o having to wait at the restaurant(tho I still waited for about 10 min). I got there 15 minutes after I placed the order ~9:10pm. You can check the status via the Eat24 link but it just counts down from the max ready time(it was 10−30min for my order). It wasn’t ready yet. Waited about 10 minutes and she gave me my carry out order. It was easy and convenient. There were still 2 tables and a couple of take out/delivery orders. I got 3 rolls for $ 12.99 — spicy salmon, spicy tuna and avocado salmon rolls(my favorite combo) + california roll $ 3.50. Not a lot of rice(great!), a few crunchy bits in the spicy rolls(not necessary IMO but I will tolerate it), and didn’t taste spicy to me but looked like your typical spicy rolls with the minced fish. I did see some chili flakes tho. As I was eating the spicy rolls, i remember thinking to myself«hey… I actually had to chew a bit!!» Some places mince up the fish so well that it’s a mushy mess. I kinda like that there are some ‘chunks’. The 3 roll combo comes with either soup or salad. Salad had 3 slices of cucumbers, lots of lettuce and the typical ginger salad dressing. It was pretty good. I would skip the california roll next time. It was ok, but not great. Total came out to be ~$ 18 after tax and i paid via credit card in the ordering system before the order can be placed. This will be my go to place for cheap sushi when I am in Fresh Meadow.

I ordered for delivery from this sushi place because of the great reviews I saw on Unilocal. The delivery was on time and the app I ordered through was very efficient. I ordered three rolls a miso soup and a Kani salad. The Kani salad and the miso soup were good. The three rolls I got were okay. They weren’t to die for nor would they ever be my first choice. The fish wasn’t fresh and the sushi tasted quite old. I wouldn’t order from here again nor would I recommend it.

This review is for take out only, I order from here about every other week. This place is my go to sushi spot in Bayside — cheap and the quality is consistent. I always order the 3 roll combo served with miso soup or salad. for $ 12.95. They don’t skimp out on the fish, there is minimal rice which is amazing. My issue with a lot of sushi places is that there is always more rice than fish but not at Sushi You. Tip — if you order over $ 30(I think) they give you a free california roll
