I really love this place! Mainly because of their«grand opening discount» Since I first came here… I’ve probably gone back at least 5 times! My favorite roll would be the spicy girl roll. I love that their sushi selection is so large and affordable. Their thai entrée’s are really good! I really liked the red curry and mango chicken. Def go during lunch time it’s a good deal with salad and soup! btw they deliver too :]

Came in late on a Friday night about 40 minutes before closing. The place was quiet as a mouse and empty except for the employees and one young man eating alone. DId that stop my God Brother and I from getting and table and devouring some pad-thai? Absolutely not. It’s a small spot. I was a little weary at first, scared they wouldn’t seat us due to the time, but the employees were little angels and sat us right away. She brought us a menu and graciously left us to our chatting. Pretty big menu. Sushi and tempura and a whole bunch of delicious stuff. Oddly enough no thai iced tea. I was a little bummed about this but the little can of ginger ale I consumed was nice and cold and they gave me a cute class to poor it in. That will do. After looking over the menu for what seemed to be a long time(I was busy running my mouth more than making my selection) I decided on Shrimp pad thai. You get the option of a soup or salad. I opted for the soup. MISO! Let’s start with the soup. Delightful. The perfect amount of saltiness an it was nice and warm. Not too hot to burn me but enough to warm my tummy as it slide down my throat. Gotta love it. I wasn’t finished by time my meal arrived(again too busy talking to finish my meal) but I held on and it stayed warm even while I ate my pad thai an returned to it in between bites. NOW the main dish. A hefty amount of noodles and a hefty amount of shrimp. And guess what?! NOFRIGGINTAILS! Boy was I excited. The noodles were sticky and tasty and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. Not huge shrimp but nicely sized and succulent every bite. I scraped my plate(I’m a beast). We ordered some shrimp szechuan to go so when we got the check we ended up having to wait around for that. No big deal though. Everything was nicely priced and the location to this spot is great considering it taste way better than the only other thai spot I go to in the area. This is def a spot I’ll be returning too.

I usually order their Asian Fusion entrees. So far, I love the dishes and they’re not too oily. My favorite dishes are the Indonesian Samba and Yaki Udon. From their sushi menu, I’ve only tried the traditional sushi and they’re ok.

NOTWORTH A SINGLESTAR. They cannot even make sushi rice. Rice was hard and undercooked with way too much sesame sprinkled on top. The seaweed was too chewy. Spicy maki combo rolls were flavorless, I had to whip out my own sriracha hot sauce. The miso soup has no miso flavor. It was unbelievable how so many things were just so wrong in a 33 $ meal. The eel avocado roll had a weird tangy flavor, not sure why that was. WORSTEXPERIENCE eating sushi –ever-. New Tokyo it is next time I order delivery. Never ordering from this place again. I hope I don’t get sick. THISPLACEMOTIVATEDMETOSIGNUPFOR A UnilocalACCT just so I can give this place an accurate negative feedback.

We were big fans of the place before the new ownership. We tried early on once the change was made and were not impressed. Recently we’ve been back a few times and have been pleased with the results. Just remember, if you say extra spicy, they do not play. Haha.

We tried Sho for the first time using a Groupon. Although it may seem expensive(the Groupon was for a $ 58 dinner including 2 miso soups, 2 paad thai, and 2 special rolls) seems pricey, it’s on par with other sushi places. The lunch menu seems very reasonable and I’m looking forward to trying it. The restaurant is tiny but their use of space is efficient and doesn’t make the room feel crowded. The food was very fresh, well-made, and delicious(our paad thais were beef and shrimp, and the special rolls were the 2012 and the rainbow naruto). Our server was very pleasant, courteous, friendly, and efficient. Parking is convenient. A couple of small cons: there were a few men hanging around by the propped open back door who may have been management or kitchen staff or owners — it was hard to tell. They were smoking in the parking lot and it created an unpleasant odor in the dining room(the weather tonight in NY was cool and very humid, so odors kind of just hang there). The bathroom is TINY — put it this way — women will not like it very much.

This was the most terrifying sushi experience of my life. I had purchased a Groupon for this place, and boy do I regret it. After eating the food here, I was immediately sick(I won’t go into detail on the extent of my sickness) when I got home. The fish/food was def not fresh! We ordered 2 of the specialty rolls(crazy tuna and the sho roll). The tuna was brown, and the spicy tuna interior was this disgusting warm mayo+fish-mush(like it was processed through a blender). Just writing this review is making me want to vomit again. Additionally, the service was also ludicrous. Albeit a very nice little Asian woman, she clearly has never served a table in her life before. While bringing the plate of sushi, she knocked over our soy sauce all over the table, and tried to move the table to clean it, which made the soy sauce fall onto my foot and drip entirely into my SHOE. Then she proceeded to try to take my shoe away to the back to clean it. NOTHANKS! As if eating rotten raw fish was not punishment enough, I had to endure this whole meal with a wet soysauce foot. Excellent! On a slightly brighter note, their shrimp pad thai was OK. However, I would NEVER recommend coming here… unless you need help being bulimic.

$ 23 for 25 pieces of sashimi?! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place with prices that cheap for sushi. You might be thinking that it’s due to lower quality of fish but I must say that it’s as fresh as any other Japanese restaurant that I’ve been to. Service was quick too. Only knock on the place is that it’s got a roll named after Jeremy Lin(the ex-Knick). If you don’t care about the NBA or the names of the rolls, definitely check this place out!

Been to this place a hand full of times. First glance at the menu, EXPENSIVE!. BUT the great thing about it is 20% off lunch &30% off dinner! When i got the bill i was very happy it wasn’t as high as i expected. Food is always fresh & delicious! And the service is usually just fine. Although last night i was very disappointed when the hostess brought over the cordless phone to the waiter as he was taking our order ANDHEANSWEREDIT as i was speaking to him! Just wasn’t something my employees would ever think of doing if i ran a restaurant. One bad waiter will not spoil my chances of returning. Id def recommend trying Sho just bc the food is delicious!

Sho Sushi 88 Ordered delivery from here last night because they left a menu on my doorstep and offered 30% off. Was excited for the special rolls and ordered a bunch of food. Was very disappointed in the quality of the food. Got the howie special appetizer for $ 12…which was peppered tuna, avocado, in a yuzu sauce with spicy mayo on top with fried onions. Sounds awesome, doesnt it? But it was very disappointing. The peppered tuna was good. but there was a lack of ponzu/yuzu sauce. There was no acidity in the dish! And there was no spicy mayo at all! and the fried onions? they were the cheap prepared kind from a container that usually found in takeout wonton soup. They were probably better off using thin sliced raw onion. no good. Also got the shrimp/veg tempura appetizer. which was disappointment #2. They tempura batter was rock hard! How do they mess up a basic like this? Either the batter was old, or these were pre-fried. No good at all. My tempura did not look anything like the picture someone else posted in photos. The sashimi appetizer comes with 4 tuna, 4 salmon and 2 white fish. The eel avocado roll was decently normal as well. We ordered a couple«special» rolls and was appauled at the tiny size! Usually when you pay $ 12+ for a special roll, its not the SAME size as a regular roll… with just 2 extra pieces! Crazy White Tuna Roll(Spicy white tuna, crunch topped with white tuna, wasabi, scallion and creamy sauce). This was a pathetic looking special roll. The inside wasnt even spicy, there was a lack of spicy mayo(i see the trend).and there was a lack of crunch. And it was topped with such THINTHIN slices of white tuna. picture thin slices of onion covered in a weird white sauce. No sight of scallion or wasabi! No wonder, it was the SAME size as my eel avocado roll. This place lacks details and quality. It seems, they created this fancy menu with fancy items… but the chef doesnt even know how to make these specialty items. I was tricked by the fancy menu! Now, reading the other reviews about how small and warm this place is. I regret ordering from here. I hope others dont get tricked either.

This spot is right around the corner from my apartment and I went there because I heard a good review. The roll that I got was awesome and delicious and I would recommend it to anyone — it was the crazy tuna roll. Spicy Crunchy Tuna inside, Black pepper tuna on the outside. Now for the not-so-great, it was very small and had a «grade pending» rating which always throws me off. Also it was very hot on the inside which isnt the best for handling raw fish in.

I haven’t actually ate at this place yet because it’s only been recently opened. We received a Grand Opening Takeout Menu from them in the mail and decided to try it out. Since they’re brand new they have a 25% off discount right now for lunch and dinner, even for takeout :) Delivery is okay. it can take a while to arrive if you call when they’ve just opened. Aprox 20 – 30 mins and we live only 5 – 10 mins from them. So we took a look at the menu and saw that they had a mix of different yummy dishes to choose from and ultimately decided on getting the Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura and the Beef Bento Box for the Lunch Special and it was actually very cheap with the discount. The prices are pretty reasonable for the portions and for the location. Each dish included miso soup, salad, and rice with the meal for only $ 10. The Bento Box came with shumai, a california roll, rice, soup, and salad and the beef dish for only $ 11. My brother devoured his bento box and said it was really delicious. My tempura was crispy, fresh, and cooked well. They put holes into the container so that the moisture wouldn’t soften the tempura on the inside, which I thought was nice of them to do. My tempura came with a special soy sauce that was really yummy, and better than other sauces I’ve tried before. Another night we ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Lunch Special and the Chicken & Vegetable Tempura because we got hooked on their food. The Chicken Teriyaki was different from the teriyaki they serve in most places. It was cut up in square pieces and didn’t have a strong flavor to it. It was simple and not as good as I expected. The chicken was bland because it barely had any teriyaki sauce on it and need more seasoning. The Chicken tempura seemed to have a smaller portion than the Shrimp Tempura we had last time. It only had 3 big pieces this time as opposed to the 4 – 5 pieces we received with the Shrimp. Nevertheless, it was tasty and crispy and just as delicious as the Shrimp and the sauce was great again. Also, I wanted to order their Tempura Cheesecake from the menu but they said they didn’t have it available. I ordered the Tempura Ice Cream instead and it was not that good. The green tea ice cream was yummy but not memorable and the tempura was really thin and falling apart when it arrived to our house. It also had chocolate sauce on the side which didn’t really do much to help the dessert. Final Verdict: 3 stars ***
