Welcome Home Home Inspections

Dan has been amazing! The house I’m trying to buy has some problems we were already aware of, but Dan pointed out a couple of other items to make a priority. His report is very concise and detailed. He is very personable and knowledgeable, as well as extremely thorough and flexible. We were not able to complete the home inspection in o e go due to plumbing issues. He worked with my agent to set up a time where he could complete the radon testing and finish the inspection.

As a first time home buyer I didn’t know what to expect. I used Unilocal to find an inspector in the Sussex area and Welcome Home came up highly rated. I reached out by email to ask what the inspection would entail and pricing. Dan got back to me within a few hours with what the inspection would be like (how long i should plan to be at the house) pricing, and a sample of an inspection report. We set a date via email, and he called me the day before to confirm.
On the day of inspection Dan was there early and made a quick pass through. He was very professional, and friendly. He had no issues speaking with the seller, or my real estate agent. Dan explained our walk through and we were on our way.
As someone who knows NOTHING about properties, I felt Dan did a great job explaining everything as we walked through the house and property. I really enjoyed that he didn’t expect me to know how things worked, instead he took his time explaining them to me. He was able to explain what issues were simply cosmetic, and what «issues» would need to be fixed, he was also very clear about things that could happen with this type of structure/​weather/​wear and tear. He set up the radon can, and explained what it tested for and why. He was very thorough checking the house from outside shed, to basement/​crawlspace, bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, attic and roof. There isn’t a spot he missed!
Dan also accepted various types of payment, cash, check, paypal, credit card (Not sure about bitcoin). Which was great, other inspectors I reached out to completely avoided the payment section. Dan even included a folder of regular maintenance and checking I should do on the house on a yearly basis (roof checks, replacing batteries in fire alarms etc.) to hopefully catch any issues early.
Dan told me i’d have a copy of the report by the evening, but I got it early afternoon. Dans report was very nicely put together, the photos were clear and his explanations were clear and to the point. The radon results came a few days later.
I would HIGHLY recommend Welcome Home. Why go anywhere else?! To make things even better, I forwarded the inspection results to the seller saying I wanted all the items Dan listed ‘fixed’ and the seller agreed!
Welcome Home Inspections is the way to go! I would certainly use them again when/​if I move again!

I had a home inspector cancel on me the day before my home inspection. I looked on Unilocal for some reviews of some others. I called Welcome Inspections and they moved some things around to accomodate me last minute. That alone led me to believe I made a good choice. Dan and Rob met me and my fiancé at the house and walked me through everything they were doing. It was extremely thorough. They didn’t miss an inch of inspecting this home. They sent me a thorough report and copied it to my realtor. They’re friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and would highly recommend them to anyone buying a home.

Buying a home is extremely overwhelming. Buying a home long distance quadruples that feeling! Welcome Home Home Inspections put me at ease from the moment they answered the phone. They were friendly, professional and knowledgable (not to mention funny). Dan and Rob walked me through the process and emailed a thorough report, which included color photos and recommendations for fixing issues, the next day. (They email reports to all clients… not just me!) I feel very confident with my home purchase now. I highly recommend Welcome Home Home Inspections!
