Having some serious heart issues, yet wanting to exercise to the best of my abilities, I started taking Zumba Gold classes at the Agoura Hills Rec Center this summer. I figured that I wouldn’t be embarrassed working out with some older people who might be even less athletic. Wow, I sweat my brains out, but it’s fun and I can do the whole hour because if it gets too hard I can bring it down a level and when I catch my breath, I can step it up. Del reminds us to breathe and to maintain good posture, something hard to remember sometimes when I am trying to get my feet to follow her lead. And yet, if even following along is too much, she will shout out that marching in place is always acceptable. I smile and laugh a lot. It is a lot more fun than I ever expected for how much work I do! My schedule no longer allows me to take Zumba Gold, but any level can fit right in with the regular Zumba class I now attend with Del leading. I don’t know why some of the other reviews were filtered as they seem pretty much in line with how I feel about the class.
