A great all in one«party» store. Large, well lit, and clean. One large wall is a huge selection of Liquor at state minimum prices. Lottery. A large cold beer and somewhat large wine selection. A wide selection of grocery and last minute late night home necessity items. They even have some cold grocery items, milk, cheese, eggs. A nice prepared deli counter– wings, mac&cheese, other hot items. The star seems to be the pizzas, including a five dollar pizza that is better than the local cheap pizza chain’s product. One of the top 10 party stores I have been in.

Ok, Scotia Stop has the best wings! Seriously… ridiculously good. Just a slight kick that leaves you reaching for a cold brew to go along with them.

I’ve been a regular there for years, living close by in Huntington Woods. I just ordered 20 wings, two large pizzas and ribs for $ 40.00, fed four of my hungry amigos and they loved every bite. I highly recommend this family run staple. Lawyer Jeff

I used to live in the townhouses near Scotia Stop but never went in. Now that I live closer to Ferndale, I’m making a special trips. On a whim I stopped in for a beverage and something for lunch. I didn’t realize that they had AMAZING pizza. Snaaaaaaaap! The deluxe was awesome. My tummy hurts from slamming them so fast… They were that good. I’m going back. Often. Little Ceasers who?! $ 5 pizzas are only coming from Scotia Stop from now on.(~15 min wait on fresh ‘za.)(Oh yeah, they have a full selection of alcohol and gas station fare, but check them out. Totally worth it.)

One Stop Shop. I go there everyday. And the owners are good people they remember their regulars by name.

I have been going to Scotia stop since I was a little kid.(the store was across the street at the time) Back then being able to walk down the block meant I was a «big girl» who could now spend her chore money to buy penny candy! Everyone has always been super friendly! If we couldn’t find my dad, he’d usually be up there chatting away with them. Now they have the new store on the opposite side of the street that’s large, clean, well lit, good variety of items at decent prices. Did I mention the hot food? Whenever I come home to visit my parents we get a pizza or some grinders from them — delicious!

I love this small, family run convenience store. For a small place it has a good variety of alcohol, wine and beer.

I love this place. I happen to live nearby, and stopped here for some beer I had forgotten to get at Kroger. They greeted me and asked if I lived in the area, since everyone seems to be known to all. We ended up in conversation for longer than anticipated. The employees are great, it’s a good selection for a quick-stop type place, and although I have yet to try the food, it smells great!

Scotia is the one stop shop for everything. My family has been frequenting this store since it was located across the street & the service and family that owns it have both always been consistently unmitigated. Scotia Stop is the epitome of what every corner store should be. Stop by the food counter, everything there is delicious: the $ 5 large pizza & cheese bread are a great combo together. Also, I’m pretty sure they put crack in their fried chicken, so don’t try any unless you’re prepared to become hopelessly addicted.

When my husband & I first moved to Metro Detroit a year ago, we discovered this liquor store right away because it had a big sign in the window that advertised $ 5 pizzas. We moved here from Chicago where $ 5 pizzas are uncommon if existent at all! We were shocked to find that these pizzas were pretty gosh darn good! We often order the pizzas with jalapenos, an ingredient that I don’t believe is on the menu. They make it for us anyway. The family that runs the place is awesome! The very first time we went there, one of the sons said, «Did you just move to the neighborhood?» because he recognized that we weren’t his regulars. It’s that kind of place. We buy some alcohol & snacks there too. Yet for us, Scotia Stop is all about the pizza. Rock on, Scotia Stop. Rock on!

I’ve gone to this party store since I was in grade school. Oak Park residents who have lived in the city for a while will remember the time when the store was located on the southeast corner of 10 mile and Scotia. I have fond memories of my parents making pit stops there after picking me up from school. They always have a great selection of beer, liquor, wine, food, snacks, lotto tix, and anything else you may need. They also have hot foods like pizza, chicken, etc. that they sell. I mainly go now to buy liquor or beer… and a pack of gum, lol. The family who owns the store is so sweet. They have never been anything but cordial and friendly to me in all the years that I’ve gone there. THEY are the reason I continue to shop there.
