This is the gf’s go to pizza place in the OP; granted she doesn’t eat much pizza but great gal that she is, knows i’m a bit of a fanatic so will accommodate me when the need arises. Like it did today, post movie across the street at the fanfreakingtastic and historic Lake Theatre. The pizza is really just ok but she ordered a pasta dish which was off the charts good. The Linguini alla Judia that went thusly: Sauteed Chicken, Mushrooms, Onions, Spinach, Chopped Garlic, Sun Dried Toms, White Wine, Cream Sauce, Marinara… which, incidentally, their Marinara nails the old world Italian to perfection. This I will try to replicate at home very soon. Here, they do it exquisitely.

Very impressed with this place! My delivery showed up early. I ordered chicken Alfredo and cream of chicken soup, both tasted amazing, like home cooking. The Alfredo was filled with veggies and came with Parmesan toppings. I requested no olives in my pasta which they did correctly. Also had the fresh squeezed Apple juice which was literally the most fresh squeezed Apple juice I have ever had, very refreshing, there are little chunks of Apple in it. The raspberry smoothie was excellent as well. I will definitely be ordering from them frequently! It also came with homemade fresh bread. Can’t wait to try out the rest of the menu.

Hadn’t been to this place in a while even though I work nearby. I went into grab a quick lunch. Got a barbecue chicken wrap with a side salad. Food was excellent. In addition to that, I have to say something about the customer service. The card swiper wasn’t working, and I didn’t have quite enough cash to cover the full price of the meal, so the server let me have a discount. I’ll definitely be back!

The most discussing restaurant I have ever been to. Smelling like never been cleaned. Everything tastes like expired can food. The owner hitting on every female that walked in, Shamelessly… What a nightmare… Where is the health department in this town?

Simple, no frills pizza place with friendly service. You can get better pizza in Oak Park, but the thin crust pizza here is flavorful and affordable, and the low-key vibe is good if you’re eating with kids. A good option for a quick, tasty lunch!

Steak wrap is a flavorless burrito(with no beans or rice) ate two bites, side salad tasted funny ate one bite. Fries were fine and the kid liked the chicken strips. Please do not waste the time or money.

Ordered takeout and food was still very warm. Got the chicken parm sandwich and chicken pesto sandwich on gluten free bread. I love that they have gluten free options, including the crepes, which I ordered as well. The sandwiches were very good and even better, the chicken was grilled and not fried. I will go back!

I really wanted this place to work out. But I should’ve follow the other reviews. Had the pizza, just ok, others I was with had the meatball sandwhich and not that good, it was dry. Even with the extra Mariana sauce, it didn’t help. Fries were just your normal everyday frozen and over cooked. I would’ve given this place another star in the least but looking around while we were eating sort of began to gross me out. Crumbs all over the floor and various tables. Spilled ice cream or milk on the floor. Granite we were there for about 30minutes but I thought maybe someone would’ve caught that. The table caddies were dusty as hell… and I’m talking like where the dust begins to get sticky!!! Same with the spice shakers… they don’t look like they have been wiped in a long time. I don’t like being negative but hopefully the owners will see what I saw and make a change.

This may have been one of the saddest meals I have ever had from a restaurant. I ordered chicken limone… a dish similar to chicken piccata. The hostess recommend the cream of chicken soup to accompany my meal. I was really looking forward to it. The meal looked unappetizing but I assumed it would be at least«alright.» Oh was I mistaken. I ate the two mini chicken breast sitting on top… they were fine. The rest… uggggh. Not a HINT of lemon… nottahint. I squeezed my own lemon over this dish… it couldn’t be helped. So at least I had the cream of chicken soup the hostess suggested… a big container of it. I opened the container and my jaw dropped… literally a can of cream of chicken. So, that was a one and done. Now the pizza looked delicious! I would recommend it and the staff was friendly.

Oh, Purees… A classic little pizza shop in the heart of downtown Oak Park. Going into Purees, one must know that the décor isn’t elaborate and the staff will never be over friendly. That being said, the place excels at what it should which is pizza. One can usually get a slice of cheese, pepperoni or sausage pizza quickly, as there are always slices ready. In addition, you can get a pizza slice combo for 5.50 which includes pizza, a small drink and a side of your choice. Sides include a salad, french fries and few other options. Within Purees there is ample seating for both large and small groups. Aside from pizza, one can also find a variety of pasta and sandwiches on the menu as well. The entire menu is pretty budget friendly and won’t hit hard on the wallet. Directly next door is a crêpe shop owned by Purees, where some delicious desserts can be purchased post pizza. If I have one gripe with Purees, it’s that the interior seems a little tired and needs some sprucing up. Random cow hide wall décor and other assorted memorabilia don’t seem to fit in a pizza joint. The bathrooms can be hit or miss from time to time with what’s working, so be advised. With no frills or elaborate décor, Purees provides the basics and some pretty darn good pizza to go along with it.

As a fan of a slice, I was delighted to find a place that serves exactly that for the first time since moving out west. That said, the slice was a huge disappointment. Greasy, slippery, and with a crust than managed to be both doughy and hard, never again. Saving grace of the place is the staff, who are organized and super friendly.

It’s nice to get a slice and you can get a slice here, not many other places, and that’s about all I can say. Had the thin slice and it was … nice, not great, not horrible, would get it again but would not go out of my way to get it from here. I do like their deep dish much better.

This isn’t the best Italian food. It isn’t even the best Italian food in Oak Park. It is, however, the only place you can get single slices of pizza dine-in or to go. My favorite is the spinach deep dish. They’re also pretty quick with carry out orders, even things like baked sandwiches that are made to order. If you’re going this route and skipping the pizza, I recommend the eggplant sandwich. Another neat thing about this place is that they make cannoli to order. They’re always fresh, never soggy. The tiramisu in the cold case is also pretty darn good. The staff is really nice, and if you’re a regular, they’ll remember what you like and say hello when they see you around town. It’s definitely a place to visit if you like that kind of friendliness.

I had the pizza combo with side salad and small drink for six bucks. You can also substitute for fries or soup. I think it was average but the house dressing was really tasty. The pizza was okay and not what I expected. I am sad they are no longer franchised with Ben and Jerry s because that was a big big plus for them. I did have to dab my napkin on my pizza to soak the grease but some people actually like that so I won’t comment further on it. All in all it was an average.experience. Not terrible but nothing to give five stars.

Probably the most convenient pizza in oak park, just not the best. Inconsistent. One time it will be perfectly cooked, the next time, burnt… Sometimes dry sometimes just right… Was a great value when they did half priced Tuesday…

Disappointment, dismay, disarray This little pizza shop is in downtown Oak Park across from the movie theatre and sharing a store front with ben and jerry’s. So it seemed promising enough. I was not-so-promptly greeted in Spanish(strike one), told it would be a minute and it took more than their projected prep time(strike two), and I was served tasteless crap(strike three). In summary, I can qualify your dining eligibility for here: Do you like Chef Boyardee? Yes? Do you like paying 10X more Chef Boyardee? Yes? Enjoy…
