I love this restaurant! About once a week, I either go there to dine in, have food delivered, or pick up to take home. Every single time, the food and service has been outstanding. The pad woon seen and yumwoon sen are my faves!

I got the roast duck noodles the other day. It was so good that I couldn’t stop eating! The Thai iced tea was pure deliciousness. Definitely a place I’d visit again!

Such a drag that Americans think cloyingly sweet Thai or any Asian food for that matter, is the norm. And good. Give the herd what they want. Small portions. Spring roll and BBQ pork for lunch cost $ 18 before tip. Basically a to-go container with lettuce, skinny noodles you can pick up at any grocer, bean sprouts and a few pieces of BBQ pork. You could do better without knowing how to prepare Thai food in your own kitchen. If this is Oak Park’s best answer to Thai cuisine, you can keep it.

Good Thai food. I especially like their Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and their Beef Salad.

Very good food here. I had the pork fried rice and gf had pad Thai. Both meals were very good. We both had Sapporo beer which is Japanese beer… really good!!!

Fam got take out from here. I went pretty basic and got Pad Thai Chicken. Extremely bland, clumped in the container. Lots of chicken but not much else and noodles. No peanuts? Like 6 bean sprout. No green onion no love at all. Lackluster to say the least the only thing I tasted was the spice and the squirt of lime. Got Vietnamese shrimp rolls which where fine. The peanut sauce was thicker than the devil and not appetizing. Tried some of the Panang curry, slightly better and they got points for actually putting lime leaf in it but it was a strange thick curry. I’d pass on this spot next time, it just felt like there was no love in the food.

Over Rated!!! Mama Who??? Nice Ambiance, a bit over priced for an order of noodles. Best to go for lunch special so it is worth while in your pocket, and okay portion for an arm and leg price. Nice service though, but go up North for a real Thai experience.

Went back again to dine in this time the service was fantastic. I definitely recommend the pepper steak, wonton soup and the appetizer sampler.

The Pad Thai was very sticky and most other dishes are average at best. There is nothing exciting about Mama Thai, other than it’s located right down the street from me.

Disappointed! I can’t understand what some people are eating from this place??? I ordered Pad Thai, was so excited to try this food and this particular place and boy was I Disappointed! Look at the pictures! The noodles were dry there were no carrots, cabbage, so few onions I couldn’t say they put any on. I called and got a lecture saying I should have known they don’t put the carrots and cabbage in with take out orders. I want to try and sit down one day but I must go with someone who knows about Thai food. This was the driest food I’ve ever eaten, absolutely NO, NO flavor and that is no joke. I hope one day I will be able to post differently but today this place is a NOGO!

Went here for lunch and got the lunch special spring roll, veggie soup, and chicken pad Thai. Service was great, iced coffee was great, food was average nothing special. Spring roll was decent, the chicken pad thai to me, lacked flavor just tasted like seasoned noodles. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return for the food.

Been eating here since it opened and really love their food. They may not be the most authentic Thai restaurant but their Pad Thai is some of the best around. They used to have BYOB policy but since they now have a liquor license they have discouraged bringing in your own libations.

Good service, decent prices, and consistent entrees. I can’t give 5 stars because I don’t always love every dish, but every dish is always consistent which is definitely four star worthy! Portion sizes won’t leave you hungry, and the tempura is awesome! Great lunch place– not just for dinner :-) Can get busy, it’s a not best kept secret– so allow yourself a little extra time just in case.

I came here with a coworker for lunch. We ordered a large shrimp tom yum soup as our starter. I had the chicken lard nar and my coworker had the seafood green curry. All 3 dishes were very tasty. The restaurant was quite busy for lunch so it took some time to put in our order, but was satisfied with their service. I will be back!

My favorite north side thai restaurant. Everything at Mama Thai is delicious. The curry, friend rice, and enjoyable appetizers makes for a perfect thai meal. I wish they had a south west side location.

I have been incredibly disappointed with Mama Thai the past few times we have ordered food from them. They used to be out take out favorite. However, the last time we ordered from them my chicken pad Thai came as tofu. We ordered from them again tonight and there was a stone — a legit, ¼″ sized rock — in the veggie roll that I ate. When I moved on to my pad thai, there was not any sauce or seasoning whatsoever. Something has changed and it isn’t for the better.
