Christie’s Cleaners

Brought in a sweater with two small holes. Asked the owner if she could repair and she said yes. When I went to pick up, the repairs were horrible. Did not use same type thread and holes are still visible. When I complained to the owner they said there was nothing they can do. No refunds and no further repairs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE.

This is the worst cleaners EVER!!! I brought a sweater in that had 2 holes in it, the owner NEVER told me anything other than «I can fix it!» Well, I got my sweater back today 12÷21÷21 015 and it STILL had 2 holes in it! Not only were the holes still there, they or she didn’t even try to match the same color of thread!!! I went in there immediately and the male owner told me. no money back and they will NOT fix it any further! So now I’m out money that I work hard for and they didn’t care!!! I would NEVER recommended this business to anyone! They should be shut down. Please people do NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! Very rude and unprofessional place!!!

I went in to see if they could fix the metal piece on the sleeve of my jean jacket. The VERY RUDE lady at the counter said no and threw my jacket on the counter. She said it could not be fixed.
She is the owner of this establishment and should not even be licensed to even operate a business in Oaklawn!!!
If it wasn’t for my daughter being with me I would have said a few words that is how rude she was!!!
I took my business to Gabriel’s tailoring on 95^th Street next to Frankie’s Beef. He fixed it in less then 2 minutes.
You need any tailoring that’s where you should go. AVOID THIS PLACE! RUDE AND EXPENSIVE!!!

I’ve been coming here for over 15 years! Today I brought a pair of pants back that I picked up only 2 weeks ago cause the hem fell out! Had my receipt and the wife is screaming at me that my washing machine must have done it and refused to fix it! It was only 2 weeks and I was charged 10.50 to hem 1 pair of pants! She was screaming with at least 6 customers waiting. Bad customer service so I’m taking my business elsewhere!

I went in to have one dress cleaned and the woman behind the counter said that it would be $ 9. I commented and said that it was kind of high and she walked away from me. Needless to say, I won’t be bringing any items to this business in the future. Not because of the price but because of the horrible attitude.

horrible woman working there with her husband. my elderly mother was just in there today and the women yelled at my mother and told her she was ‘trouble’ simply regarding a shower curtain to be ironed for which my mother prepaid the other day prior to even bringing the curtain in. (i reallize now she should not of pre-​paid), she decided not to have it ironed, (actually because she was hospitalized for overnight), so i ironed it for her. …Therefore my mom went in today to ask for her 10 dollars back. For this she was treated very rudely, yelled at by the women owner who gave her a very hard time, finally her husband agreed to give my mother her money back for which no service was rendered in the first place. My mother is very kind and this women at the cleaners should not be yelling at elderly customers or anyone for that matter. I will be writing to corporate (if there is one). I will spread this info. to my friends and family in neighborhood. I read a recent review and couldn’t believe similar story. I agree, this place needs no patronage from neighborhood.

Inexpensive, fast, and professional. I’ve had pants hemmed, sweaters cleaned, and many items dry cleaned with no complaint.

This cleaners needs a skill pressure. I have use them for dry cleaning before but this time I entrusted them with my curtains, BAD MISTAKE, BAD MISTAKE. I picked them up and they were not pleated.
I was told because they were custome drapes they could not be pleated, have you ever heard of any thiing like this before. So they clean and pressed them, when I hang them they will be just flat.
WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS CLEANERS AGIAN

I think Christie’s is going to be my official dry cleaner now that I live in the neighborhood. The prices and service are A-​OK. The only reason I can’t give extra stars yet is because the few alterations I priced seemed a bit high. Great for dry cleaning– I would just head somewhere else for alterations.

This place is great and so inexpensive! I mean, 5 business shirts and a suit for approximately $ 11? And they always get it right. They are quick, on time, and ready when you need it.
I have had pants hemmed, suits altered, and everything looks professionally done. They also do laundry which is a bonus.
The service is no nonsense and quick so to not waste your time.
Love this place!
