Unique In a Great Way… I’ve eaten here a few times. Usually after a Wednesday night paddle in the Lower New River. Visitors to Fayetteville always want to eat at SSS, P&P, or Diogies when their in town. Well after you get bored with that you should try Los Vaqueros. The menu has many items that I’ve never seen on a Mexican restaurant like the Burrito de River(Salmon) or the El Bombero(The Fireman). I do enjoy that they offer a hot option for all their fajita combinations. Their Mexican pizza is a favorite of a rafting friend. It is huge. Big enough for two. I ordered the tacos carne Asada. It was served in corn tortillas which is my preference. Nice strips of steak with pico and tomatillo sauce. It comes with a bowl of refried beans. I also got one tamale and the portion was generous. Filled with tender ground beef it was delicious. The décor and space is really simple. But the service is great and the owner has taken my order every time.
