The woman working this past Saturday was very pleasant. They greet you as soon as enter the store, but that’s about it and I LOVE that, because they are not pushy. That’s why I gave this location 5 stars. The products are not cheap, I must admit. However, I bought a gift for my husband and I’ll see if he likes the product. If he does, I’ll definitely return to buy him a birthday gift :) UPDATE: my husband was not impressed with the shaving cream and I was not impressed with the shave brush. The shaving cream didn’t do much when he shaved. He’s going back to his old shaving cream. He did like the after shave oil, but that was all :-(I’m glad I got him the small size.

Yes, it’s expensive. But yes, it’s worth it. So I’ve been shaving now for just shy of 15 years with your standard grocery store brand shaving cream and a mach 3 razor. It worked. But the problem is the hair on my face grows in what seems like every direction possible. This results in nicks and cuts whenever I don’t shave daily(hello weekends). So I invested in the pre-shave gel, lavender scented, and I can honestly say I haven’t nicked myself once since. Not only that but I feel and smell like one of those guys from the Old Spice commercials ready to take on the world cause«I’m a man». Hello ladies. I know this sounds like a bit of an infomercial but it’s true. Same razor, same shaving cream but a dime size application of this pre-shave gel before shaving and that’s it. I’m very happy with my purchase. So happy in fact that I will come back to try some other products. The good news is their products are well made and will last me a long time. And not having to deal with cuts after shaving saves me time and makes me a happier person in the morning. You can’t really put a price tag on that.

My boyfriend and I visited this gem of a store last week contemplating purchasing some shaving gear for his Valentine’s Day present. The sales associate(Kevin) was incredibly knowledgable, honest, and not pushy at all. He also put on a great demonstration and was able to compare and contrast products we were considering. Great products, great service, all around, an A+ experience.

$ 40 for shaving cream?! I expected some of a mark up on the product line, but this is ridiculous. A gift set with shaving cream, aftershave and a third item was $ 100+. The guy working here looked like he was part of a barbershop quartet. Only in Oak Brook… No thanks.

I did some shopping this afternoon at Oakbrook Center. Once I went where I wanted to go(Williams Sonoma), I decided to walk around part of the mall. So as I’m ready to turn the corner, I thought I was seeing things. After a while, I noticed the Art of Shaving store right in front of me. NICE!!! This review is short and sweet because the same things that have been said about the other locations can be said about this location as well. The product is excellent but not cheap. I reviewed the Michigan Avenue location and I can easily say the same thing about this location. Great product line. Great people who work there. The store is well laid out and easy to follow. This location opened in May of this year. The difference between this location and the Michigan Ave location is that there are no barbers to get a shave at(not a deal breaker for me but worth noting since they don’t have the space for it). Still, it’s good to know that they are now in Oakbrook Center. A nice addition to that mall. If you want to know where exactly it is, I’ll tell you. If you’re going to Macy’s and Lord & Taylor’s part of the mall near Fan’s Edge. It’s actually on the corner where you would walk to Macy’s(left) or Lord & Taylor(right) so just look straight ahead.
