Shopping at Ann Taylor Loft is a much different experience than shopping Ann Taylor. Service varies a great deal between employees.
I do not understand Loft sizing. I have to look for 00P skirts here. While I am slim, I am no 00P! On the other hand, I wear a 2P or 4P in a pant. That’s more realistic. I find the cut of both the curvy and the modern pant to be ‘gap-​py’ at the waist in back; enough that they would require tailoring. This ups their cost to me from Loft range to Ann Taylor range. It’s almost as if the clothes are junior sizes but marked with misses labels.
Tops are tricky too. There will be stacks and stacks of cute tees and tops in regular sizes, but few few in petites. I find it very difficult to extrapolate what size petite top might fit (were I to order online) from trying on a regular top. This is usually not difficult to do with other brands.
Still, I keep stopping in because from time to time I find something great for a great price.
