After a workout, I wanted and needed to have a good breakfast but didn’t want to cook or have a long wait at another restaurant I’m familiar with. Decided to come here instead and I’m happy I did. As I pulled in the parking lot I was discouraged because the parking lot was packed and people were standing outside. Gave the impression it would still be a long wait. However I was wrong. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated immediately. Our waitress Karen was awesome. Not only was she friendly but fast. I ordered 2 eggs meal with bacon, grits and toast. The other person with me ordered the whole wheat pancake with eggs and sausage. They sent out sausage with my meal but corrected that as soon as I mentioned it wasn’t correct. The pancake was the size of a super big head kid. Didn’t think it was enough food but at the same time I was full and satisfied. I don’t even think we were in there a good 30 mins. Including getting seated, ordering and eating. I don’t think I’ve had faster service before… Ever… In my life! The only thing is getting checked out. Since it’s a small area where people are coming in and checked out, it’s a little tight. Like a can of sardines trying to escape the can. At the end of the day I will definitely be back! The food was good, the service was even better. I hate that I couldn’t leave a cash tip(didn’t have cash on me) for Karen but I did leave her a tip from my credit card.

I’ve been here quite a few times for breakfast and always loved the variety of different breakfasts, not your normal, everyday stuff. And their pecan coffe. TO. DIE. FOR! We stopped in today for lunch, for the first time and were equally impressed. I ordered the Greek Salad which was awesome! They don’t skimp on the Kalamata olives like some places, thank you VERY much?

Great breakfast and into lunch. Good staff and friendly owners. Only complaint is the waiting area is too small. Also the line to checkout filters through the crowded waiting pushing people around to come into and out of the restaurant. The restaurant could fix that by having the wait staff clear out the bills at the table. Winter months, this is more of a problem than when the weather is warm enough to stand around the front of the restaurant. Still the best breakfast restaurant in the area hands down.

Visiting my closest friend for a week. A great go to for breakfast. Friendly servers and quick service! The weather was beautiful so we got to eat outside. We got to eat here two times, both times were wonderful. I got the Texas skillet the first time. Lots of food and everything was cooked right and it was super delish. I wouldn’t suggest any changes at all. The last visit I got the Vera Cruz chicken & Avocado omelette. This is my favorite. I loved the fresh avocado and the side of potatoes are always on point. Loved everything.

Not too bad of a place to get lunch or breakfast. I always find myself wishing their breakfast menu was a bit more diversified, but I’ve never left hungry. Their coffee is sub par imho, but I go there for the pancake!

Overall, I go hear regularly for breakfast and enjoy the food. They’ve got a good selection and it’s usually well prepared. I’m a fan of their eggs Benedict which some places can mess up. The one area where I would fault them is consistency. Some times you seem to get the warmed up cook and some times the cold cook. I’ve had to send things back a few times because it was cold(waffles, toast). My guess is that they make it the same time as my group’s orders, and let it sit while theirs finishes up. I will say though, that they have no problem in fixing things. I would give it a 4 or 5 if they fixed that issue. Good place. Should give it a try.

In the area, there are only so many breakfast-brunch type places. I would go here anytime over ihop, dennys, or bob evans. But the food is nothing to write home about, simple fare, nothing fancy, but also not tasteless. The décor is somewhat bland, you could call it business country if you had to define it. I’m sure it has to do with the big corporate center/hotel across the street. I would love them to add a little character to the restaurant.

The food was delicious and the service was some of the best I’ve ever had. Despite being slammed our server keep us very happy and was super pleasant. The food arrived and it was well prepared and exactly what we were looking for. The crab cake Benedict is what I had and it’s all made fresh in house. The meal and service was so great that we asked to speak to the manager so we could let him know what a great experience we had. He ended our visit with a fun little game. They gave us a special envelope that is to be opened next time in front of the manager to see what the prize is. Could be anything from free coffee to a $ 50 gift card.

It always looks busy but we have never had to wait long for a table. I’ve like everything I’ve tried so far. Try the crab cake Benedict. yum(slight drooling thinking about)

Good place for breakfast. So good in fact that when I try to go here for breakfast on the weekends I usually turn right back around because the wait is so long. I suggest going on a weekday or early in the morning on a weekend.

Food was fine at best. Service was terrible, they got my order wrong and it took 45 minutes to get a simple omelette. Do not recommend this place

The egg and I is a great place to have breakfast. The pancakes are awesome. The service was good could be a little better but maybe they were short staffed the day we visited. Regardless beats ihop and bob evens and probly toe to toe with Cracker Barrel

Very good food, but overall, it’s a tad underwhelming. I appreciate delish Benedicts, but beyond that, I can’t say it’s got much on other breakfast joints. I can say you pay a pretty penny for your meal. I think it’s pretty highly priced, and the kitchen is ridiculously noisy. The service has always been good, but I think it’s a bit overrated and not worth the – often – 30+ minute wait. Gave it a shot, but it won’t be somewhere I frequent.

Most of the time, it’s great! Sometimes an order isn’t brought out correctly, however, it’s usually rare. With the exception of one of the staff, everyone’s awesome. One guy seems like he doesn’t know what he’s doing. That’s usually when problems happen.

This seems to be a popular place but I’ve been underwhelmed. The service has been good, but the food is a step above Denny’s. Prices are decent, but of the five times I’ve been, I left satisfied only twice. One time I took my son for a special breakfast and more than halfway through my omelet I bit into a piece of plastic, it seemed to be from a bag. I discreetly asked for it to be taken away so other patrons weren’t made aware but they brought me another full plate that I had no appetite to finish. It’s not necessarily bad, the service is ok, but it just never seems to be worth the typical wait. We still go, when my wife wants something different, but it’s not a go-to place for us.

By far my husband’s and my favorite brunch location in the area. I’ve gotten the corn beef hash and the Mexican skillet and my husband’s favorite dish is the crab cake eggs Benedict. The service and employees are always super friendly and great at getting you what you want/need. They treat you like family! I absolutely love this restaurant and am glad it exists.

The food was above average, but the customer service was amazing. I went with a friend and a large group was seated after us. The restaurant needed our table we were already seated at. This was not an issue for us, we were fine with being seated elsewhere. The manager comped our drinks without us asking for anything. That’s always a sign of godd service in my book. Our server, Mike, was very polite and attentive as well. A+ for service!

On the spectrum between Denny’s and a «niche breakfast place,» I’d say it’s closer to a Denny’s. The atmosphere is pretty corporate, the food is consistent and will not disappoint you, but it won’t surprise you either. Our service, however, was impecable and the bottomless coffee was great. You can even take a cup home with you if you ask nicely.

Every time we go here there’s a long wait. Every one raves about this place so I had to try it. The first time I went I ordered the huevos rancheros. I did not like it. I went here again and ordered the french toast. I still did not like it. It’s pretty bland and so not worth the wait. Not sure what the hype is about.

Overall, a very nice place to have breakfast. Atmosphere was pleasant and our server was awesome. My husband had the Greek Frittata. It was very good and was a decent size portion. I had the Parisian Benedict. Unfortunately, mine was just alright. It was lukewarm and the hollandaise sauce was a little watery and bland. Prices are a little high for breakfast but not ridiculously so. We would come back again.

Great selection of breakfast foods! My husband and I frequent this place quite a bit. We love brunch, and there are not too many spots where we live. They have a very friendly staff as well. They have seasonal specials on food and coffee, and everything is quite tasty. They are accommodating for special requests as well. Great place for breakfast!

Our plan was to eat at our hotel, but the kitchen caught on fire, the fire trucks came and that clearly wasn’t going to happen. Since this was across the street we gave it a try and got there shortly after they opened. Eggs-cellant! I had the Hiker’s Benedict and it was wonderful! Asparagus was crisp and the Hollandaise was lemony! My husband had a skillet and liked his. Daughter had strawberry/banana waffle… yummy! Son had biscuits and gravy and said it was ok, but he was grumpy so what does he know! The server was wonderful and we were in and out in about 35 minutes! Everyone was very nice and I would totally go there again!

This was the 2nd time I’ve eaten at The Egg and I. Both times I’ve been disappointed by their service. The first time I attributed it to being a busy Saturday morning. Today, at 11 a.m., it was not at all crowded, yet we usually had to ask for things twice. The menu wildly varies from the old standards like iHop and Denny’s, but the quality wasn’t any better. Their prices are reasonable. I doubt that we’ll return.

Went here this morning with some friends after they finished the Top of the Mornin run. They needed some carbs and I was just hungry. We did have a 20 minute wait. Once we were seated our waitress was quick to grab our drink orders. I was impressed with the amount of food items on the menu, considering they are only open for breakfast and lunch. They had some great gluten free options and a light menu. I ordered from the light menu, a egg white frittata with chicken, tomatoes, spinach and cheddar, and a English muffin. When the waitress brought my order I was surprised to find a bowl of fresh fruit also,…bonus. My friends got the blueberry pancakes, French toast, and a scrambler. I love that we got a carafe of coffee, it always bothers me to have to wave down my waitress when I need coffee. Great experience, good food and yes it was worth the wait.

Timing and Wait: I arrived ~ 9am — the restaurant at this point was near full. In past occurrences of trying to get in, you WILL wait if you arrive at peak hours. So a 3 rating for Timing and Wait. Quality and Appearance: The place is immaculate, very warm and cozy atmosphere. Little things like quality of plates and glasses and even a lace napkin(I guess that’s the term) for the fruit cup. So a 4 rating for Quality and Appearance. Food Quality and Cost: The food was awesome, top quality and best yet. I ordered the Vera Cruz Omelette — it was best tasting ever. The Rainforest coffee was the best tasting«Restaurant Coffee» I’ve had — ever. My two boys loved the Biscuits and Gravy and Waffle and Eggs. The cost for all of us(two adults and one Child) was ~ $ 37. So a 5 rating for Food and 3 for Cost — meaning kinda-high. Staff and Speed of Service: The staff is great, friendly polite and ensure customer quality is top-notch. Several different team members brought food to my table — so this clearly indicates a dedication to customer service. So a 5 rating for Staff and Speed of Service. Overall Rating is 4.5.

I had not been to the Egg and I for a couple of years. The food is excellent. I had the bacon spinach omelette with hollandaise sauce. It was well prepared and well cooked without being overdone or dried out. Everything was hot and fresh. The wait staff was friendly. My one little complaint is the hostess is set off to the side where you can’t really see her when you first walk in. The register is immediately in front of the door when you walk in so we went to the cashier for seating. It wasn’t until the people who came in after us were seated ahead of us that we realized where we were supposed to go. The prices are not too bad about eight to $ 10 for the entrée. And coffee for two or three dollars. Décor is really cute and very attractively done. Can’t wait to go back!

To me this is a typical Denny’s and ihop place. Maybe one star up but there’s nothing that fantastic about this place but overpriced breakfast. Of course I would come back if I wanted a decent sit down breakfast. I would choose this place over dirty Denny’s and ihop. 1 star off for overpriced breakfast 2 stars off for the owner being stuck up and rude.

I tried this spot when on travel for work. It’s awesome, we ended up coming here 4 of 6 mornings. My favoritea were the Denver Jack Scramble, Mexican Omelette, and Green Chili Chicken Hash while the Breakfast Burrito was also solid(should have gotten chorizo, not pork sausage). Staff is great. On a Sunday morning while waiting for a table to be cleared(after being helped immediately after walking in the door) 2 or 3 staff members asked us if we needed to be seated. I’ve honestly never seen a team so on the ball. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The iced coffee is OK(that’s all I drank past water). They will make anything with egg whites, which is a plus if you like lighter fare. I will be back in a few weeks for sure and each time I return for work! When it’s my turn to pick the breakfast spot for my crew this will always be my choice.
