Overpriced.
Terrible service.
Bland food.
We won’t be returning.
I apologize for posting this so late after our visit, it apparently got stuck in my «drafts» folder.

I love Culpeppers it is my favorite restaurant and I am sad so many locations have closed. Also, you guys keep depleting my favorite items on the menu! Please never get rid of the chicken fiesta salad, or the fiesta wrap!!! They are the absolute best and now that the sauce has changed for the toasted rav (please bring back the meat sauce) and about 6 years ago you got rid of my favorite spinach artichoke dip in STL the salad is all I have left to keep you as my favorite restaurant! Please please keep the fiesta salad with the spicy, yummy, ranch dressing! I crave it daily! Thank you!

Ordered an appetizer which came out WITH the meal (HUGE pet peeve). I got the buffalo shrimp and fries. Shrimp was straight out of the grocery store frozen food section and the fries were undercooked and soggy. GROSS. I will never go back.

Seriously? Does this place want to stay in business? You have my carryout order for over an hour and I’m still waiting??? WTF?

Fair wings, but they use instant mashed potatoes. Why? Won’t be returning.

I stop in here every once in awhile for a few drinks. This time we had the chicken wings and they were amazing!!! The flavor is one of the best I have had. The service was excellent! We sat at the bar as we usually do. Keep up the great work!

The service was outstanding, right along with the food! We had the Bacon Cheese Burger, boneless wings, home fries and bone-​in-​wings with the gold sauce… Drinks were in full swing!

I love this place! It didn’t used to be that great but management has changed and there are a lot of good things going on!
I started going again in September and the stuffed mushrooms are full of flavor and my favorite appetizer. I usually get the sweet and spicy boneless wings for my meal but this last time I went there was a daily special menu that offered some new menu items, I ordered the 12oz strip steak with a baked potato. It was cooked perfectly, was juicy, and had a really good flavor.
The service used to be hit or miss but since I have started going again I’ve had several different servers now and each one has done a great job. I look forward to my next visit!

Nice place, friendly service. we came in as a group of 40 kind of last minute. 1 server took care of us. We had no mistakes and food came out as it was ready. Bonus was we checked in and received 5 free boneless which was used by multiple people. Anyways they rocked it out! Great job Culpeppers!

Came here for a business lunch with a coworker and a customer, at their suggestion.
Had a free wing appetizer (thank you Unilocal check in surprise), but didnt try it because I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap for lunch. The gentlemen seemed to like them.
My wrap was poorly made — all of the chicken was on one side, and the lettuce and cheese were on the other. It was impossible to get a bite with everything, so it was a bite of chicken/​tortilla alternated with a bite of lettuce&cheese/tortilla — you get the gist. Fries were decent.
Both gentlemen had the all you can eat fish special. It didn’t look great to me, but they seemed to like it.
The service was great, until the very end of the meal. The drinks were kept filled and the gentlemen were offered additional fish. When the waiter brought the check, he asked who to give it to. When I reached for it, he said to my colleague and my client «Aww…You guys are making the lady pay?!» Highly inappropriate for more than one reason.
I will try many places in the area before I return to this one.

It has been about 5 years since my one and only visit to this location (before Unilocal). So you can take this review with a grain of salt.
We went here with the kids for wings and pizza. I was expecting a lot more since my brother and sister in law rave about their wings at another location. I had the gold wings. They were pretty small, and really nothing special (try B Halls Merle’s Wings instead). Same with the pizza. Not horrible, but not worth coming back for.
Let’s talk about the real reason I have never been back. The service. My wife and I ordered beers, and finished them long before the wings arrived. No effort was made to ask us if we wanted another drink, and our efforts to flag our server were ignored. We needed more ranch and blue cheese for the wings. Despite repeated requests, it never came. We did however get billed for it. I was too frustrated to wait around for our server to correct the issue so I blew it off, and vowed that I would skip this place next time I wanted to take the family out. Back then there were far fewer choices out on highway K. Now we have plenty of places, (Timbercreek, B Halls, Kitaro, Brass Rail, Blue Sky Café, et al) so don’t waste you time or money on mediocre food and lousy, slow service.
I guess waitstaff there have the impression that people with kids don’t tip well. That’s not the case with me when I receive good service. What is apparently lost on them is that if they were not so damn slow, they could have sold my wife and I three beers each instead of 1 and their tip would have been a lot more.

I wanted to update this review to 3 stars. I thought it was great that the manager of Culpeppers reached out to me (see below). Not a lot of business care weather or not they get bad reviews and do not want to improve their place of business. I can tell he cares and because of that I will come back to Culpeppers and give it another try when I am in town.

I am disappointed that this place has gone downhill. The last time I ate there, the wings were overlooked and the sandwich was cold. There was a hair in the fries. I have always liked some of the staff there but some of the kids hey hire don’t have a clue how to service a table. Drinks stay empty, plates never cleared, requests often forgotten.
The only reason for 2 stars is their Pizza is still ok.

I know from experience what to get and what not to get at Culpepper’s. If you just want a quick sandwich, salad, pizza or wings, you’ll be just fine. Anything fancy, I’d just order something else.
Tonight I tried out their new wings — the Sesame Jack and Jamaican Jerk. Sadly, I compare wing flavor to Buffalo Wild Wings, because they have seemed to get it right. These two flavors were lacking in flavor, no pop at all. No spice, no kick, no nothing. Something you would expect from Carribean Jerk, right?
So in my *expert* opinion (and by expert I mean, I’ve eaten a lot of wings), I’d stick with the original wings.
They did just get a frequent buyers card which is always good in my book.
And if you have room for dessert try the Torpedos for $ 1.99. My husband says they are the best cheap dessert around.

I had the steak sandwich which stated on their menu it was full of flavor… I guess you could count charcoal as flavor? It’s all I tasted. The steak itself was very difficult to eat, as it was super fatty and there were tons of spots I couldn’t bite into not to mention the steak wasn’t even sliced they literally just threw it on there. I probably got ¹⁄₃ of my sandwich due to that. My fiancé’s buffalo wrap was good but the lettuce and cheese was on one side and chicken on the other, making it very difficult to get a bite of everything at once. Our server Eric was really friendly and attentive.
I’ve been to the Zumbehl location once and got hot wings and a quesadilla and they were fantastic.
I’d come here again to try something other than steak.

As a local O’Fallon resident I appreciate the things Culpeppers does well as a bar/​grill. First, Culpeppers has some of the best wings in the metro area (try the sweet & spicy sauce!) Second, Culpeppers has Happy Hour everyday, allday in the bar area. All domestic bottled beer and tall draft beers are under $ 2.50. Last, the staff has always been very nice, prompt, and has never screwed up an order for me.
Tip: Each night Culpeppers runs a different food promotion (Ex. Tuesday night is $ 0.45 wings). Check their website for a complete list of food specials
