We came here to celebrate a birthday. Called ahead to ask if we could bring a cake to surprise our friend on his birthday – they agreed. Our food and service was good, but they charged us for the cake! The cake that we purchased and brought ourselves! That is not right. Normally I would have argued, but the cake was a surprise and arguing would have ruined the birthday mood.

I usually don’t give 3 stars for a place but this place needs to hear the people out. Service: Waiters are very nice individuals. Place is decorative and has great Brazilian music. There is a bar if you’re into that. I didn’t have any drinks so I don’t know if they are good or not but I did see a guy make a Caipirinha and it looked fancy. Food: Delicious but portions are not generous. Prices are high for such small amount of food. I had a pre-fix dinner of Cozida and I was still hungry. It was presented well though. It came with Coxinha but they were also delicious but very very small… I had a passion-fruit brule which was presented awesomely and had a nice banana topping which I could tell was touched by a torch. A good touch! However, I could barely taste the passion fruit! So it was as if I had a banana desert… Add more passion fruit! Add more food to your portions. Its too small for the prices they currently have. Overall, I want to give this place a second chance as I know sometimes places are better on a second visit but I really hope they listen and adjust their portions to their prices.

There is a Brazilian place in Austin, tx that i have eaten at many, many times and it is very good but this place knocks it out of the park. Excellent food!

Very welcoming staff. Strong happy hour drinks and a great $ 263 course set menu with a $ 5 caipirinha available. I rarely can go out for two, 3 courses and a cocktail each at any hour for $ 80 all in and really enjoy myself.

Loved it!!! The baby back ribs appetizer is FANTASTIC… The meat was tender and juicy and I’ve never tasted such a perfect bbq sauce(homemade orange, ginger, and espresso glaze). We got the churrasco plate and the chicken was surprisingly the stand-out; the sausage was a little over done, but still tasty. The black beans were only lukewarm so that’d be my only«complaint.» But it was a very minor misstep amidst an otherwise excellent meal! The waiters were friendly and very attentive but it never felt like they were rushing us. It’s a good date spot… Quiet enough to hold a conversation and dimly lit so it feels intimate even with people sitting right nearby. Highly recommend!

I went with an Amazon local deal tonight, and I got the 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 drinks. It was a great deal. The service was great along with meal and drinks recieved. I enjoyed the caparina drink and the churrasco dinner for two the most. this was my first time eating at a Brazilian restaurant and I hope to do it again soon. The place was not crowed and we got to sit by the open window and enjoy ambiance of this great New York spring evening. What a great way to enjoy a Wednesday night out with a friend or your special someone.

Seriously the most authentic Brazilian food I’ve had. We have been visiting for a little over a week and have already eaten here twice! It’s so amazingly delicious. The roasted chicken with the yuca and mushroom sauce is to die for. It’s making me want it again just talking about it! A must go!

Had an excellent post-valentine’s day Groupon dinner with my gf here. Right off the bat, we knew it was a good choice. The restaurant is small and quaint, with a nice ambiance. Not too loud, but not too quiet either. A good place to talk and drink with a group, but also a nice spot for a couple. The food was pretty fantastic. The caipirinhas were the bomb, great fit with the meal. Our appetizers(croquettes) were a little unusual, but tasty, and came with a good heap of well dressed salad that was actually fulfilling and not just there to make the plate look nice. The steak was nice and flavorful, though I wish there was more(and it was covered in pico, which i despise, but it was easy enough to scrape off… just know to expect it when you order.) The dinner ended on an epic note with a coconut mousse, dressed with macaroons and frozen strawberries. I’m still thinking about it. The only real issue I had with the meal was that the waiter, while friendly, had way too many tables to serve. We had to grab his attention for the check after waiting awhile. All in all, a great experience. Definitely worth the Groupon although you should keep in mind that they add gratuity to the bill, so get ready to shell out a little extra dough.

We decided to have a chill night with friends, and we saw the coupon offered in groupon online. We called the restaurant around 9pm to make sure we can come at 10:30pm. They said they’re no problem and we decided to go for it. Coming to the restaurant at 10:30pm, we’ve been rushed to order as soon as possible, because the kitchen close at 11pm. We ordered and got our food not long after. Since that point everything changed. We felt like the waiters want us to leave and they took every singe plate off our table, at the moment we put our forks down, we didn’t feel very comfortable but we moved on. When asking for the check, and reminding the waiter we have the coupon, we saw we need to pay the tax for the original price of the dishes instead of the tax of the reduced coupon prices. We asked the waiter about it very politely, and after 2−3mins of discussion about it with him– he got really mad out of the sudden, claiming we «don’t want to pay», telling my friend to «shut the fuck up, I’m calling the police» and punching his shoulder. In this point we were really offended and just wanted to leave, paid the original prices tax and left as soon as we could. We highly DON’T recommend visiting this place, these people don’t know how to treat costumes and don’t know how to talk respectfully. It’s a shame because the food was okay, but this place shouldn’t have costumes whilst acting like this.

I like this place. I came here on a groupon with the lady. The lighting is impeccable and we were seated pretty quickly, after making reservations. My only gripe is that groupon seating is by the door and it gets chilly when it opens and closes so much. Bring your s/o here and have a romantic night, yadda yadda. The food is pretty great too. The chicken croquettes were bangin’ and melt in your mouth. The mayo sauce they come with is actually pretty good, this coming from someone who detests mayonnaise almost as much as he detests racism. That aside, the steak I got was decent too. I ordered mine rare and it came out just that. My only gripe was the vegetables on top. They were spicey so I ended up scraping them off. My girlfriend’s steak was medium, but since I am the designated food-finisher, I had a bite of her steak and found it to be a little bit chewy. The beans added a subtle taste to the otherwise spicey flare of the main course and the rice was nice and buttery, but not greasy. The service was great. The caipirenha’s were banging and I ended up ordering two and getting pretty buzzed. They taste kind of like margaritas, but harder. Note that if you come with a groupon, your gratuity payment will be almost 30 bucks, so expect to shell that out in addition to the groupon. Nonetheless, I am a fan and will definitely try the non-groupon menu one day.

I used the $ 50GROUPON in Jan 2015 for the Prix-Fix menu for two and I gotta say — the food and atmosphere was AWESOME! The ONLYTHING I didn’t really agree with was the $ 30 tip and tax we had to pay at the end. By the time you pay $ 50GROUPON + $ 30 tax and tip it doesn’t really end up being a deal. $ 80 is what we would have normally have paid to go out at a restaurant of this caliber. So in the end, great food! We just could have went anywhere for that.

Went here with the Groupon deal and was quite impressed. It is a relatively small space, but well laid out on the Upper East side. We had a nice seat in the corner. There was a special menu for the Groupon deal, but it was very good representation of their regular menu. Would love to head here just to have a drink at the bar. We started with a chicken and Brazilian cream cheese appetizer which was amazing. I decided to go with the chicken stroganoff which was absolutely excellent. My girlfriend went with a steak over rice which was also delicious. Deal included two caipirinhas which were excellent. We decided to purchase a second round. Shout-out to the manager Patrick who took the time to make sure our meal was as expected and spent some time chatting with him. After speaking with him, I am glad i was able to support his business. We use Groupon primarily to try new places we wouldn’t have otherwise found and never go again. Zubu Grill is the rare exception where I will certainly be back. Saw some negative reviews that the business adds gratuity to the bill on the original amount. That is certainly the truth, but that is how you should be tipping on Groupon. The food and service was worth what I was billed. Again, glad to support this place. Highly recommend.

3.5 …so…so. I go for the caju caipi. The food is decent but wouldn’t run there or anything. Homemade brazilian food is the best. This is just okay.

I had dinner at zebu last Sunday with the groupon offer and the bill still came up high!!! But that’s my fault for ordering extra piranhas, dessert, coffee, etc etc. The place is nice, you can see the kitchen and the cooks from your table, the music is all Brazilian so if you have been in Brazil and have come to love it or if you are Brazilian, you will get nostalgic and will want to go back to that beautiful country! The food was in small portions so don’t expect a lot of food, even the feijoada was small! But it was delicious food.
