Was in the neighborhood and popped in here to pick up something for dinner. Very clean and efficient. Had a good selection ranging from small to large shrimp(cleaned, heads on, or cooked) to octopus and squid to whiting to salmon, etc. They also have an area where you can have the fish you just bought fried or steamed. But on Sundays they only steam, no frying. And they’ll clean your shrimp for an extra buck. Probably will clean any fish you ask… Good spot. Will definitely be back.

This place is an blight on the neighborhood. This place is a permanent health code violation, the owners dump fish waste on the street corner nightly in flimsy black bags which the local cats and dogs rip apart. How they have a food grade I have no idea but the place is poisonous just to walk past. The pavement outside the restaurant is slick with thick smelly grease and this would NOT be tolerated in ANY other neighborhood. I ask anyone who lives locally to call 311, avoid using the dump and demand they improve their habits. TO the owners — YOUSUCK.

Cheaper prices than the supermarket and the other fish markets around. They offer a variety of fishes that are fresh. The staff is super friendly, they’ll even recommend recipes if you ask them. They are also extremely helpful in cleaning the fish or opening clams for you. One of my favorite things about Young Fish Market is their seafood takeout; however, the menu consists of mostly fried food. The other day I picked up one of the deals. It included: 10 pieces of shrimp, 2 crab sticks, 2 scallop balls and fries for $ 7. It was delicious and easy to divide. The only con is that they close at 7:00 pm sharp. Side note: A fellow Unilocaler mentioned that the place is terrible at disposing their waste and it’s true they should improve their disposing routine. The fish is fresh but it is also important to keep our neighborhood clean.

Typical of fish markets in the Harlem area but larger and cleaner than the other one on east 103 St. Identical in price and selections of cod, snapper, talapia, porgies, scallops, and varietal of shrimps. Both have a seafood take out counter — mostly fried stuff. Pros: Fresh fish in the neighborhood 20% cheaper than Wholefoods Cons: Prices are 20 to 30% higher than Chinatown

Try clab sticks. 3 for $ 1.50, they fly right away for you. Can eat in.
