Their hot and cold bar foods come made in big vats. Their antipasto bar comes in big bought cans. Why do we allow them to charge us $ 8.99 and $ 10.99 a lb? Also, if I got beer from another WF, I should be allowed to get my 5 cent deposit back from any WF.

3.5 stars — MAX. I’ve been purchasing organic hair products and some hard to find items(champagne mangos. spaghetti squash) from this location from years but never thought to actually try the food. I’m usually in here at night and have seen some things go down with homeless people and the open hot/cold buffet as security is non existent after 7pm. Since discovering their make your own salad section, WF is now in constant rotation whenever I’m looking for something good for lunch. The cobb salad is my go to. Romaine is fresh, bacon is thick cut with that good salty chew taste(you know it!), blue cheese is hearty and the avocados are buttery fresh. I don’t eat eggs or tomatoes so I sub them out for grilled chicken as the protein. Salad bar staff are nice and keep the line moving along. I especially love that you can pay for your salad at the actual bar. Smart move because it would be such a bummer to have to brave that line after having already waited in another. Salad portions are fantastic and for the area, the price is beyond right. Typical WFs. cashiers and floor staff are helpful.

Don’t hate me but this place can REALLY stand to improve its customer service and over all logic. Every, single time I go I there(about three times per month), it’s a bad experience. Recently, I tried to use a manufacturer’s coupon for a product. I obtained this coupon beneath the label of the same produce previously purchased. It took three people to register this coupon. All the while, I’m saying, «just give me the coupon back, I have to go to work.» They were unapologetic for their incompetence. Of course, I return, because I’m idiot. Different cashiers, but same slow lines and ignorance. Can you please train your cashiers on both politeness and how to use your POS system? Thanks.

My first time at this location of Wholefoods. The store consists of three floors, it is a little hard to find what one might need. Some price tags were not correctly located, and I ended up paying $ 10.00 more than I intended for an item. Having said that, though, glad to have a place like that nearby.

Overall, great location & convenience but you’ll pay for it. I used Android Pay 12/21/2015 @ 18:54, latter rush hour, and the cashier was not only enthusiastic to let me spend the time to try it out but even helpful in showing me where prior. The bathroom upstairs requires the pin from the like their Bowery location which keeps many strange folks out. The upstairs is mostly seating for the prepared foods dining. The lower floor is mostly sundries & Whole Body like their Chelsea location. Their prepared foods section is most of the 1st floor’s rear half. The checkout line is famously efficient with the tv screen which matches each of 12 lanes with a checkout position alert when it’s open, reducing checkout line anxiety & making for a fun game that spurs joy & minor conversation. The produce is famously very expensive & I personally never get any basics or staples here, simply all too expensive. All other categories of items are similarly expensive with a very difficult price point to afford unless getting them in minor quantities. The occasional irregular food tasting and chef demo stations are inspiring, but the prices quickly kick it. Unfortunately, I’m left able only to buy prepared foods when on the go to a destination nearby. The only downside are the solicitors outside and perennial protesters before their protests across the street, neither the fault of store management.

Popped in here to use the bathroom, and stayed for the 25 cent coffee promotion. That was all well and fine. But I saw a ridiculous line downstairs for people actually buying groceries. Looks like a friggin’ nightmare. I would never ever shop at this place if I lived in Manhattan.

Huge huge whole foods in NYC! It was like an oasis for the tired and weary tourists and locals alike. Im not sure if they offer wifi… hmmmm. I saw bottled flavored water made with lemons, cucumber and mint for $ 1.99. A great thirst quencher.

Yes, Whole Foods is pricey. Yes, Whole Foods overcharged its customers by weighing items more than they actually do. Yes, Whole Foods can be a place for snobby shoppers. Despite knowing all of these, I can’t help but frequent Whole Foods because I just LOVE its prepared food section! I actually don’t do grocery shopping because I don’t(or can’t…) cook. In fact, when I go to Whole Foods in Union Square, I don’t even go down to the basement level where packaged goods and fresh produce are. Instead, I stay on the main floor and head directly toward the back where the salad bar and pay-by-the-weight stations are located. The items in the salad bar changes every once in a while depending on what’s in season. Some of my favorites are roasted butternut squash(perfectly roasted, juicy, sweet, savory, all at once!), any of the soy-meat based dishes(mock chicken salad, soy nuggets, etc.), the spinach noodle salad(although it can be a bit too oily), and the Brown Rice Sprouted Risotto with tofu — SOGOOD! I also like the selections behind the counter. The sweet potato topped with walnuts and scallions and turkey burger topped with ketchup + BBQ sauce are both delicious. Also don’t overlook the sushi bar. The salmon avocado made with brown rice and quinoa is to die for, except sometimes the rice comes apart too easily.

OK I’ll be real They’re too small and in winter they offer fruit that hardly deserves the title«Fruit» And can be real expensive Heaven forbid you’re going in one direction down an isle while someone else is going down the other way Don’t let them go by when you’re standing in front of glass packaging The meat is ok and the fish is ok but I still won’t go near the cheese dept All in all the most convenient place to go to for me and could be much worse
