White Castle

Stopped in to have a 50’s Flashback! Surprised to find it was clean and well decorated. The girl at the counter was really nice. I just needed a snack to hold me until lunch.
I decided to give the slider a try. Pretty good for 78 cents! Just enough on my stomach and budget. There’s fish and chicken sliders too! They serve breakfast all day.

The best news is that it’s open ²⁴⁄₇. Great for the insomniac in me. They have a drive thru for when you’re cruising and get the munchies. :-)
I’ll be stopping by periodically for a snack. It’s fast food on a budget with historic significance as desert!

Fast food is fast food, right? Yes it is. Visiting from Texas where we don’t have White Castle and only knows them through movies and tv show, you bet we’re going to try one when we can. I like everything I tried at White Castle, wow «chicken rings» that’s a new one for me.
Look, you come here expecting greatness all your going to get on a unhappy belly. It’s a fast food chain, the food is going to taste like fast food «food». I liked it, didn’t love it but I do plan on stopping more before I fly back to Texas. Please people don’t be do hard on judging and reviewing food and stuff. Not everything is going to be a 10 or a 1, review in the gray areas too.

Just left white castle after craving it for so long. The food as usual was amazeballs! Unfortunately the nasty woman working the drive thru was quite possibly the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I was polite, said hello and thank you and was greeted with eye rolling and huffing and puffing. She actually didn’t say a word the entire time but made it quite clear she was not happy. I understand that the midnight shift at the drive thru is not a desirable profession but if you are that unhappy then I would look into another line of work.

What can I say. White Castle is always good, and this is a good place to get a burger

What can you say about White Castle? Cheap food for party after. Really not fine dining. Me and my pops hit this place up in the am. We saw some big ass rats the size of cats while walking from our place so what no bother to us .I swear the rats said how u doing. Crappy service but who cares in the am we got some killer sliders with cheese and fries.

It’s White Castle so you pretty much know what to expect. Little small steamed greasy burgers that will make you utilize the restroom in a very short amount of time. If you come late night and eat in, you might be provided with real life entertainment that only drunks and druggies can give. The service here has been much better ever since a few years ago. It’s pretty clean each time I go. The only thing I’m not too happy about are the prices. $ 1.00 for a cheeseburger, that’s smaller than the palm of my hand?!? Damn bruh.

I went here so that I could compare it to Krystals. It was pretty much the same. Normal fast food. Nothing to call home about.

I don’t come here too often because I sometimes forget it’s there, or cause altho the food here is tasty, it can be murder for one’s bowels (they don’t call it murder burgers for nuthin lol). not to mention the ghettoest people from the neighborhood come here. I’ve been there at 12am or after whenever I get the white castle murder burger pangs and once in awhile the unsavory people come there as well. luckily for me nothing has happened. I sometimes order the loaded fries (slightly greasy but so good with the ranch, cheese and bacon pieces on it, mmmm) the chicken rings, and load up abit on the bacon cheese burgers and the white castle classic burgers.

Oh white castle~ I finally get to try a «fresh» version of you!
The burgers actually taste identical to the ones available in the frozen section. Therefore, a pretty amazing little morsel. The staff was surprisingly nice, and food came out pretty quick. I’m glad I get to check this off my bucket list! hahaha

I always try to forget this White Castle location is actually pretty close to where I live. It beckons me with it’s tasty hot little belly bombers. It tries to lure me in with it’s crispy onion rings. I have given in a few times and ventured over there only to realize the next morning that this stuff is Human Drain-​O!
The location itself is decent sized and clean looking overall. Even better, the times I have been here it never seems too crowded. Staff is ok here too and the food comes out quick and fresh. I conveniently try to block this White Castle out of my mind or I would subject myself to this stuff on a regular basis! Hey, sometimes you just crave some fast food self torture!
Overall, it’s White Castle. You go for the belly fulling cheapness, and pay for it the next morning with a bowel emptying efficiency like none other!

They didn’t get my order correct

Been here twice. Acceptable amount of cleanliness given that it’s a White Castle. It’s actually one of the cleaner ones I’ve been to.
This location is decently sized, but it seems a little bit on the empty side whenever I’ve been here.
Their sliders and sides are standard of a typical White Castle. The staff is pretty fast and friendly enough.
Would definitely come here again if the craving ever strikes.

Honestly, it’s been overhyped because of a movie.
But if you walk into this place with a blank slate, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the price. I mean, 3 bucks for a 2 mini burgers and fries? That’s unbeatable. Does it taste like 3 bucks? Yes. But in the hustle and bustle of New York City, sometimes, you just need something cheap.

Wow that was bad. really really bad. The freezer stuff is a lot better than this crap. I didnt get my order for 30min and that’s after I said they forgot my food. I will never ever ever ever go to a White Castle ever again. It’s like a slab of grease that’s suppose to look like burger meat. Taco Bell is getting sued for using fake meat and White Castle should be sued too! This place is just gross. Even if I was high I wouldn’t eat here.
Being from California and seeing the movie I had better hopes especially eating the freezer ones. Do Not Attempt to eat here.

Let’s face it. White castle is a white castle.
This one will be quick. The food tasted like white castle. The service was clearly white castle (fast food service) and well the actual inside was fairly nice. Cleanest white castle I’ve been too! And it all doesn’t really matter once you order your crave case. Cheers

Being a native son of California and asian american growing up watching harold and kumar, white castle is one of those places that is mythologized out west. Hyped up in your heart of hearts in a way you know if can’t possibly live up to.
And it doesn’t. But I was still excited to go. And for $.89 a cheeseburger slider you really can’t complain. Nothing there is amazing but if you don’t go you’ll always wonder.
On an amusing note the lady who took my order was from Haiti and spoke moslty Haitian Creole, so between her accent and my cold we had an awesome time understanding each other. And by that I mean neither of us really could. Not a big deal in the end since the order came out right be we did a lot of awkward staring at each other. Woo awkward staring!

Of course, as seen on Harold and Kumar, this place was a must try during my visit in New York.
Me and my five friends saw the size of the burger and decided to order 20 and ended up donating half of the to the homeless.
The burger was petite, which made it more desirable, as it did not stuff you after two like a Big Mac would. The fries and onion rings were also very enjoyable and I would definitely love to go again.

White Castle — you either LOVE it or HATE it.
Only two locations in Manhattan. Luckily, I live within a reasonable distance of one.
Seedy location, staffed by seedy people.
But man, White Castle!

I’ve only had these little burgers to go. They are so good and I can eat such a frighteningly large quantity of them, I swear they must put crack in these things.
Considering there are drug dealers lingering on the next corner, it’s a realistic possibility!
