This place has an awesome brunch. Great space, great staff, great food plus unlimited boozy portion. Can’t go wrong. The garlic fries are are beyond delish and the brunch menu has excellent variety. They also have games you can grab for your table which make a boozy brunch that much more fun. I had two friends visiting from out of town and they had a great time. Will definitely be back soon!

My friends and I came here for a Sunday bottomless brunch and loved it so much! The food was delicious and the service was great. It was $ 30 for an entrée and all you can drink from 11:30am to 4pm. We will definitely be coming back!

Very good price for happy hour and drink deals. Get the garlic fries! They are so yummy. The place was pretty crowded by 7pm on a Friday night. It is definitely a place for the college crowd since it’s right by NYU. The music was really loud making it hard to talk inside. The food options were okay. We got the veggie burger, fish tacos, and bbq pork baos. Wasn’t really anything special. I would suggest going there with some friends for a board game during happy hour for some cheap drinks and garlic fries!

I’ve been here twice; both times being on a Friday night after work. It’s a cool atmosphere with some great happy hour specials. The happy hour runs from 4 – 8, and it has $ 4 drafts/cans, $ 5 wines, and $ 5 specialty cocktails. I believe you can also get $ 2 off appetizers. Both times I’ve taken advantage of the $ 4 beer specials. For food, I’ve ordered the grilled cheese(build your own!) with the tots and the common burger with sweet potato waffle fries. Both are good for bar style food. The fries were a little cold, but they still hit the spot after a long work week. In terms of service, our waiters/bartenders have been great. The first time we sat in the front which is bar service. The second we were treated to very pleasant service and quickly food/drink delivery. The ambiance is really cool as well. It’s got a very rustic vibe with candlelight for each table and book shelves around. They also have board games, which is fun for a larger group. For the price, it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Such a great find! In town from Florida and had to find somewhere to duck in from the cold… score! We ended up being here for 2 hours, having great drinks and laughing uncontrollably while playing cards against humanity. They have a really good board game selection, which I love! Service and food was great too! Garlic fries and cheese turds hit the spot!

Had the Common Burger three days ago. Un-freaking-believably delicious. I choose to throw some of the house tater tots right on top of the cheeseburger and go to town. Amazing.

This is an excellent bar. They have a decent selection of beers. Their menu is very good bar food. I love their wings. The service is incredible and their collection of board games is something more bars should follow. I’ve hosted many events here and everyone of my guests enjoyed their time here.

Have been here a few times. They used to have a really good burger but not anymore. The burger is still on the menu, but it’s not as round and nowhere close to tasty. It’s now bland. I rather have McDonalds burgers than this. There’s way better food spots/bars nearby. The chef seems to have changed. The service is fine and drinks are fine, but probably won’t come back because food is a meh.

RIPTOTHECOMMONBURGER! NEWCHEFDON’T ORDERTHEBURGER!!! The now literal Common Burger. I’ve been coming here since 2009 for the«Common Burger». I’ve shared this hidden NYC Gem with so many people throughout the years. Not a year has gone by without having what has been the best burger in NYC. Featured on Food Network for its steamed cook n house made everything. ITSDEADANDGONETHANKSTOTHENEWCHEF!!! P. S. I walked pass Shake Shack to come here :(

Lounge areas in the front are comfy, spacious, good view of the TV, and BOARDGAMES. Happy hour before 7, special shot discounts are at 8. Sliders weren’t too bad, but the sweet potato fries are addicting. Playing Jenga at night is a challenge, however, highly recommended.

My parents moved in right around the corner at 250 Mercer and I’ve been looking for a spot to bring a bunch of friends, have cheap quality bar bites and affordable drinks. This place hits the spot for an off weeknight. Not crazy crowded, awesome prices and decent food. My girlfriend and I were grabbing some drinks before she goes away for the month and we had a bottle of champagne, a veggie burger and Brussels sprouts for only $ 38 bucks. We played some scrabble, watched a little football and just enjoyed having all the space to ourselves. Super nice bar staff as well — definitely hooked it up by telling me a bottle of champagne was only $ 16. The beer selection looks pretty great, we didn’t have a chance to try anything yet. Cheap beer flights are only around $ 8. As for the food it was pretty good for the price. I enjoyed my sprouts covered in buffalo sauce and my girlfriends black bean burger was really tasty. Definitely a cool spot, not over the top or in your face, just simple bar snacks and cheap drinks.

Food was delicious and the sides are just as good as the entrees! The price is a bit steep since the servings aren’t that big. We came in a large group and they had the food out very fast. Also, the coffees here are great. I’ll be coming back again since their brunch menu is pretty good and offers a large variety of comfort food.

It was 9PM on a Saturday and the place was empty. But we gave it a chance and by the time we left, it was packed. My favorite thing about this place was the board games, the sweet potato fries weren’t bad either. We played Connect 4, Scrabble, Jenga, and some card games. I would have loved to play Settlers of Catan here. If they had this game, the rating would definitely be 5 stars!

Simple college bar — board games, decent-priced drinks, plenty of seating. Been here a few times to just chat with friends or get a serious Jenga game going on. As far as food is concerned, my most recent trip netted me a goat cheese and veggies sandwich($ 12). Sandwich was okay and went well with a hoppy beer so I was happy. The person I was with had the pizza, which looked like something you’d get frozen from the supermarket. Really though — you’re here for the drinks. $ 6 – 8 crafts with a nice enough selection. Service here is good, and if you come around 6ish, there is always a seat to be had.

West 3rd can be kinda whatever sometimes, but it’s the best kind of whatever. Good place for NYU students if you need a drink after class… or in between classes. Decent happy hour specials. $ 5 well drinks & wine, $ 4 drafts, and $ 2 off appetizers. My whiskey sour is always a bit too sour but I still drink it. The food is surprisingly good. Would recommend the Mac and Cheese and Fish Tacos.

I was so concerned about bringing my friends to this place because of the reviews; I even warned them about the reviews I read. Still, I’m so glad we gave it a shot. We got there on a Saturday at 7pm(I did this because everyone complained about the service, so I thought I’d get us off on the right foot). It was dead – all night. Perfect for us! We got there for happy hour and ordered a ton of appetizers and drinks. It’s bar food and for bar food it’s great – no complaints. Our waitress was the best. She even got involved with our games as she was working and gave us a round of delicious shot. It was a great atmosphere. The only down part of a bar with games is that people lose the pieces :-) oh well, we improvised. On that night – there was nothing more we could’ve asked for.

I really love this bar. It’s just super convenient and clean, the service is great, and they have a ton of food choices. The drinks are affordable and it’s an awesome place to grab happy hour with friends if you want to just sit down(this place is huge! so much seating!) and split a bunch of appetizers. I love the sweet potato fries(they’re great with ranch), brussel sprouts, cheese curds, and the mac and cheese. Lots of choices, plenty of fried foods, salads if you want to be healthy, and I’m really happy they have so many vegetarian options for bar food! I never go on the weekends, it’s usually my after work spot to grab a quick drink and it isn’t usually crowded when I go. I’ve heard it gets super busy on Saturday nights so the vibe is probably different then but it’s always laid back when I’m there. The bartenders are SUPER nice and really great people.

Clean, airy venue in the Village that manages to be sophisticated and relaxed at the same time. And it stocks board games. Couches up front are a perfect spot to play a game of Jenga, down drinks, and maybe even have a low-key date. Their tater tots($ 5; credit accepted) are where they’re at, cajun spiced and all. Need a refill on that drink? Victor at the bar will take care of you.

Great bar, good beers an liquor choices, convenient location, good layout and most importantly amazing dry rub wings. I sometimes come here just to eat those dry rub wings at the bar, and don’t order alcohol, because I don’t want to taint the taste of those delicious, seasoned wings. Haven’t had ones like these almost anywhere else. Worth a stop here just to have some.
