This was a really disappointing experience because the contact leading up to it had been polite and prompt. I had an appointment scheduled for 5, but no one was there when I arrived on time. After calling, Devan said to go up and wait for him, which I did for twenty five minutes. His coworker then arrived and started our discussion in his place. Instead of discussing the unit I wanted, he started showing me other places I wasn’t interested in and avoiding my questions. Many of the listings they had didn’t have pictures, and he got upset when I pointed that out. When I kept asking questions he progressively got ruder. I left feeling like it had been a waste of time.

I hadn’t rented in NYC before this week, but I had heard horror stories of unending searches for the «right place.» That said, working with Weichert was amazingly easy. Our search took a total of three days after the initial meeting, and two of those were just approval and paperwork. My roommates and I ended up with a place we LOVE in the area we wanted that fits our needs perfectly. Alex Prose and Devan Banks were more than just professional and competent (as one should expect agents to be); they were completely on our side the whole time, from finding our «right place» to negotiating terms with our new landlord. If you go with Weichert (which you should because they have a megaton of listings in NYC), definitely ask to meet with these guys. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer or more efficient team to take us on as clients.

As a first-​timer diving into the process of apartment hunting in New York City, I was anxious, worried, and just a little bit paranoid. I had no idea how things were supposed to proceed; how I was supposed to communicate with realtors, what a good deal looked liked, How much time it would take from finding the perfect home to signing the lease.
Lucky for me, I had the pleasure of working with two wonderful Weichert realtors, Alex and Devan, who were completely fantastic throughout everything. They were professional, friendly, down to earth, and very informative and patient with my (many) questions. Alex and Devan showed us our dream home on a Monday and we signed the lease 3 days later.
The whole experience was great and shockingly stress-​free from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend enough!

My spouse Tom and I very much are of the belief the everything happens for a reason. It was a hot Sunday in August when we decided to finally take the plunge and take the steps to place our apt on the market. We walked into your offices on Bway (probably because you are the only real estate office in the \‘hood) and asked to speak to an agent. It was our good fortune that Ellen Simon happened to be working. As you know, on 10/​31, our apt closed and in looking back we are so appreciative of everything that Ellen did to make it happen. Contrary to other agents\’ advice (interviewed 3 others), Ellen agreed to place the apt on the mkt right away rather than wait until after Labor day and after the Jewish holidays. She wrote copy, got pics, got the specs, did all her homework and within a week, had our first Open House. With drive, determination, and a great attitude, Ellen was great to work with. She was smart, personable, and, most importantly, REAL. With her down-​to-​earth style, she made us feel really at ease. Her recommendations were on point and 100% accurate — from downsizing the «stuff» in the closet to referring us to a wonderful attorney. We can go on and on and in the end just want you to know that Ellen did an amazing job at selling our apt. Her interaction was seamless and her guidance truly appreciated. We cannot say enough good things and have and will continue to refer her to others.

Ellen Simon is a top notch real estate professional who sold my apartment within days. She is extremely knowledgable and acts with complete integrity, which benefited me as the seller but also the buyers. I would recommend Ellen to anybody who buys or sells as she will treat you as she is buying or selling her own place and will put you in the best comfortable position.

Our family had gotten bigger and I’ve had my studio on and off the market for a few years. It was at the point where it was becoming the «un-​sellable» home. Brokers have come and gone. All the previous realtors I have had would rather concentrate on big sales and always left us in the back burner, no open houses or any type of foot traffic. When I was introduced to William. He immediately went into action and pushed through. Always kept us up to date and made sure we had some foot traffic. Always made the time to meet with us or had his phone available for any questions or advise. (extra points after I found out he got married during the process and still helped us) Within 3 months he got our apartment sold and already had suggestions on some prospects for a bigger place within our budget. Understanding of our situation. Our partnership did not end with selling my studio, as he also help me purchase a 2 BR.
This is where his experience shined. My sale was a nightmare due to my Real Estate lawyer and buyer’s broker being less than competent. He had to walk through the buyer’s broker through what their client had to do, while at the same time fix the mistake that my lawyer made almost costing me my deal on purchase. His knowledge of the trade allowed him to wear many hats to make my sale, and purchase, less painful than it was already made by the other parties.
I highly recommend William, you would not get a nicer and harder working realtor than him.

It was great working with William (Krooss-​Tadas) in selling my place. He’s friendly yet professional and always available. One thing I really look for in someone I’m working with is responsiveness and William is that and more. He was always available to provide guidance and advice when needed. What I liked about working with William:
1. Being new to the city, William was very patient and great and explaining how to best find an apartment in the city.
2. He was very concientious about my budget and worked hard to ensure that I found something that I would live comfortably in. At one point he was the one reminding me what my max budget was when I was tempted to stretch it!
3. He was very easy to communicate with and very accessible. Very prompt with his responses.
4. I had a few issues with my apartment after I had moved in and William didn’t leave me hanging. He worked diligently with the other broker to ensure that everything got fixed and he was constantly checking up on me to see how things were. He genuinely cares about his clients and that is a lot more than I had expected.

Looks like William is the star based on other Unilocalers, and I’m jumping on the William bandwagon!

William Krooss-​Tadas was incredible. We are a young family relocating to the city and needed a 3 bed/​2 bath apartment on the upper west side near my kids school.
William worked within both our budget requirements as well as our needs in a home and delivered a perfect apartment for us within walking distance from my kids school, central park, and many other great attractions.

William Krooss-​Tadas was amazing. Moving to New York from North Carolina made it very difficult to look for an apartment ourselves in the fast moving NYC apartment market. William worked with us on a three day whirlwind trip to find us a great place in our preferred area and price range.
We were also quite troublesome with our requirements due to having an aging dog that not only needed a pet friendly place, but one without more than one flight of stairs.
Did I mention it was one of the worst weeks of winter? Slogging through the snow an sleet to show us the available options?
William helped us find a PERFECT basement apartment, dog friendly, with a small YARD of all things for the dog! Who finds a yard in Manhattan?
Also was a great help in negotiating the world of leases for someone who hasn’t been a renter for 15 years an never in NYC.
