Well, I see why they only have 2.5 stars… I called 15 minutes before they closed about a reservation for July 4th. JOSH answered the phone and when I asked about reservations for the 4th, he said«we are closing soon and are very busy right now, please call back another day»…are you kidding me? Is that really how they ask their employees to talk to customers on the phone? They won’t be getting my business… ever. rude

Watermark!!! I don’t know how much I can write about this place to explain how amazing it is! For 1. Amazing view! Water, benches, and people watching OH my!!! 2. Hor. D’ oeurves go for the sliders, crab cakes, bruschetta, chicken satay!!! So I’m kind of a foodie and when I talk about flavor we are say FLAVOR!!! 3.4.5.–10ALLLTHEKUDOSTOBARTENDER!!! So I’m super picky about my drinks, the flavor needs to me just right and each time these two got it right with no direction!!! Some of my pals dropped by to see me and had the watermelon spicy margarita(I think) both made by JOSHIE and NICOLINA and they were over the moon about it and lastly my pregnant friend came and they made special non alcoholic drinks that looked so much like mojito and margaritas that she felt super welcomed. COMEHERE!!!

Good food and a nice selection of beers. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was a bit quiet when I was there.

This place is nice and looks new. My only issue was the service. We waited almost 20 minutes to order drinks and almost 15 to get the check. They definitely need more servers especially if they have private events. Also, I can’t drink alcohol because I’m on whole 30 diet and ordered club soda with lime and can’t believe they charged me as much a beer for it. Kind of ridiculous. Otherwise, great location for drinks especially when it gets warmer out.

What Watermark really has going for it is the awesome view of the water and the plentiful seating for chilling after work, but that’s about it. I thought the sangria was really not worth the calories as it tasted like really cheap wine and a juice box mixed together. The buffalo wings were alright, nothing special but likely will suffice if you’re craving wings at the moment.

Very nice bartenders, reasonably priced drinks for Manhattan and a decent selection of bar food munchies. I’ll definitely return!

I wanted to like this bar so much, but everytime they failed me. I lived right nextdoor and took two different sets of visitors here given their location and view. Both times, our order was brought out incorrectly after almost a 45 min. to an hour wait WHENTHEREWEREVERYFEWOTHERCUSTOMERSTHERE!!! When we asked for the manager, the ONE table near us started griping about the same thing(wait time and wrong order) given the emptiness of the place. The service staff is terrible and the food is mediocre at best. With new management and staff, this place could be a gold mine! Until then, just go to the park above it and avoid throwing money away here.

The views are great — you can’t beat a drink overlooking the water. That’s all they have going for them, unfortunately. Came for a work happy hour event, on a Thursday at 7pm. Prime time, right? There seemed to be two servers working that night, covering the entire inside and outisde. Service was tediously slow. They have a HORRIBLE drink selection: 4 bottled beers(Bud, Coors, Heinekin, Stella) and some garbage watered down mojitos or watermelon vodka drink. Bartender didn’t know how to make a Manhattan, or didn’t have the ingredients. Really?! Food is terrible, peel-back train food. Limp, soggy burgers, fried things, and… that’s it. Oh, as a bonus, the bathroom is a public bathroom down the pier(lit by moonlight). That’s pretty great. Watermark, you have an amazing location and lots of potential. Order some more decent beers(or bring in a keg or two), buy a stove, and up your game.

Nestled on the end of one of the South Street Seaport piers this spot fully adopts the real estate maxim«location! location! location!» Visited on a classic summer afternoon for a laid back lunch with co-workers. The food was sub-par(relying heavily on the location/view I imagine), with staff service just below average. Pulling in a mixture of tourists from the ferry’s and some smattering of locals it’s one of the few places that puts you right on the water in downtown manhattan. Not a repeat.

I dropped in at this place for an Oktoberfest evening. The waterfront bar was packed with people and immersed in Bavarian culture with waitresses dressed in Dirndl blouses and yellow colored bright apron skirts tied around them. They also had cute cutouts of female n male Bavarian holding a jug of beer and pretzels in hand, plus some German games to entertain. The view from the waterfront bar was spectacular with Brooklyn bridge in its full glory. I loved this place and will come back again after the madness of Oktoberfest ends.

We stops at this bar on a regular basis for a beer. Today we had a great margarita and we’re happy to find out it was buy one get one free Labor Day. I can’t comment on the food because I only get drinks here. That said, the menu is for tourists. The service is very good and bartenders and waitstaff are friendly. TIP: Get your drink to go and score a lounge chair with an awesome view overlooking the East River on the deck.

Impressive venue, great views of the city. I didn’t come here to eat but I was attending a private music event and I did have some great drinks. They have Radeburger on tap, they also had a shot girl walking around with kamikaze’s, Fireball and Tequila. Man that shot girl was so sweet but also so dangerous. I was thankful for the fact that I wasn’t the one driving. A few of my friends tried the food and said it wasn’t bad but just typical bar bites. I would definitely come back here for the atmosphere alone. It’s definitely good vibes. The music was great and the speakers were thumpin’. I might even try the food next time. I really like that there are big wooden lounge chairs in the back. It would be a great place to chill and get some sun and may be a drink or two with a few friends. The venue is a bit hidden behind where the cruise ships board. At first I wasn’t sure which was to go but we figured it out. There definitely needs to be more awareness of the location itself. May be some signage would help. Minus a star for not having their own bathrooms but the event promoter did provide port-o-potties for the event otherwise the bathroom situation would have been a big mess.

Not great at all. View is nice and has a pretty decent outdoor seating area, which is nice on a warm day. But that’s it. Food isn’t memorable. In fact, I hope you go on a day when there is food because I went on a day when half the items on the menu weren’t available. Also, a little to pricey for the fare but its NYC so one must digress. And the bathroom issue does suck. The restaurant doesn’t have a restroom so you have to walk down the pier to the public one next to the tourist office.

So sometimes I have my doubts about this place, you can either have a really great time or you can have a horrible experience. My job is literally across the street from here so sometimes after work my coworkers and I come here for drinks. I decided to take my brother here yesterday and have lunch. Last time I was here the menu wasn’t to bad but it looks like they raised their prices just a little, but still affordable and better compares to most places. I can’t really remember who are waiters were but if the business see this«YOUREMPLOYEESWEREGREAT». We had really kind and nice waiter and you don’t get that a lot. They were attentive and having so much fun with us and so professional with all the other guest who ate there… I know we were the loudest and the drunkest, but We ended our night with a nice midnight breeze and a shot of fire ball. I would always recommend ppl to try it out, it’s like a box of chocolate you never know what your gonna get!

Not sure why this place has such bad-to-mediocre reviews. I came here on a Tuesday evening with a large(10 – 12) group of people. We sat/stood indoors by the bar. The bartender was friendly, accommodating, and I think he bought a round for our group. The views are awesome; this is truly a waterfront bar. You can sit outdoors at some benches, but I don’t know if there is waiter service out there. The menu is smell, not much of a selection, but it’s decent bar food. I would say the biggest issue I had is the location of the restrooms. It appears there are only two(dirty) bathrooms, located a bit of a hike away from the bar. I didn’t foot the bill for the drinks and food, but I would definitely come back if I was near the seaport looking for a nice place to have a drink and enjoy some beautiful views!

Not saying anything new from other posters here. The drinks were pricey — but really? Take a look around. The view is gorgeous so they must pay top $ to operate at this location. Chill out there, buddy and enjoy your drink. The hostess was delightful and the service staff was attentive. Our group even received a free frozen margarita. And we can’t say no to freebies. 2 cons: 1) bathroom. You have to go to the beginning of the pier and there will be a line. Plan accordingly. 2) the boats might be comming in(pretty cool to see boats bocking and departing), but it can be annoying as some of them will honk their horns too. So if you don’t like the boat noises, it might be better to stay away. Overall: If you want to pay $ 5 for your beer — go somewhere divey with no view. I’d highly doubt you’d be abe to find something outside on the water at those prices. If you want to enjoy your day under the sun and feeling the water breeze on your skin, come here. Stay a while.

You have to be outside your mind to come here. Absolutely heinous. Come here only if you’re an idiot tourist who wants an outdoor view of Brooklyn and pay a million dollars for swill beer. For real. A Coors light is $ 8. For anyone dumb at math, you can get a great deal on a bucket of 6 Coors light bottles for $ 48 — that’s a whopping 0% discount over individual bottles! Or you can get the $ 64 ice pitcher with a drop of margarita. It will fill two cups, plus your server will dump half of it on the table. This is a clip joint. Stay away. PS — you need to walk to the next building to get to a bathroom. Waited for 10 minutes because there is one men’s room and one women’s room for the entire pier. Absolutely absurd.

From the outside it looks like an awesome place to have some food and drinks. However, service is a hot mess. I ordered a simple meal: chicken tenders and fries. How could that take 45 mins to come out? At around 25 mins, I told someone who looked like he was the manager that I need to get on the hornblower in about 45 mins and it still took them another 20 mins after to bring me the food. Asked for Ranch and the check right when my good was sat down and we never got the ranch or the check. We had to go to the bar and get the check with about 5 mins until the boat took off. I’m being generous with two stars and the second star is for the view.
