Wow! Just got into NYC tonight and needed a good pub. We walked in and Noël greeted us with a smile and showed us a great menu! We’d visited this same place a year ago and they had no food and it was not the same atmosphere… What a change a New Owner makes… Go visit Noël!!! He’ll treat you like family and make sure your experience there is the best! Way to go Noël!

This place reminds me of home (I grew up in Michigan). Great bar food (nachos, wings, mozz sticks), AFFORDABLE beer, friendly people! My daughter & I just stopped for a Sunday afternoon meal & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I think this may be our favorite new spot close to our apartment!

My husband and I visit this bar at least once a week for dinner and EVERY weekend for drinks. We have grown so attached to the friendly management and the locals who are always coming by. We’ve made several friends here! The food is irish themed pub food, and its delicious. the Buffalo wings, the onion soup, and the grilled cheese are my personal favs. And to top it all off, the prices are great!

Welcoming place! Noël, the owner is extremely nice & inviting. The bar is small and cozy; great place to hang out with friends. The fries are probably the best I’ve ever tasted (incredible seasoning). If you’re looking for a homey, down to earth bar Walter’s Cottage is the one.

Randomly stopped in to watch the NFL playoffs this past Saturday night. It’s a small, no-​frills bar. Bartender had to hustle since he was the only person working, but he was still nice and took good care of us. Food and drinks were both affordable, so I’d definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Lovely little neighborhood bar. Good food, good happy hour drink specials. Just slightly off the beaten path. I initially rated this higher because of one good experience there, but I tried it again at another time and the customers were totally obnoxious. You’ve just got to be there are the right time with the right people because it’s so small, everything is magnified.

This is the neighborhood spot we’ve been looking for. Noël, the owner, is so friendly, as is Dave, one of the bartenders. Drink prices are awesome ($ 5 for pretty much all beers during happy hour) and the space is so cozy. They’ve done a great job with the food too — lots of good ingredients to dress up what would be typical bar fare. We’re planning on holding my boyfriend’s birthday party here in January because we dig it so much.
