I had a funny feeling when first meeting the owner of this company back in June. But, since it seemed to be a Black owned establishment, I thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt. I had kept in contact with a very nice lady named Lori from June until recently. She was the one who was the most professional and patient. Friday afternoon I had the funds to pay for my daughters’ uniforms. I understood that the orders would not be ready on that day — after all I paid at the last minute. Upon Lori’s advice, I called the store on Tuesday afternoon to verify that my package was ready. I forgot to get the person’s name who answered the phone, but she told me that the orders were ready and to just swing by. I went to the address listed above with two other sets of angry parents who had gotten the run-around from this company. After standing there for a few minutes one ofthe women barked at us that was the wrong address and to go two blocks down between 119th and &120th St. The reasoning: «this place is too small to hold all of yall». The two sets of parents and I walked in the hot sun two blocks down to the other place which looked liike a warehouse or something. I was annoyed for standing on line for 2 hours just to be told that the order was not ready. But that did not compare to the parents that I had gone to the store with. They had a right to be irate(because they ordered and paid for their stuff back in June). But the owner of the store was rude and dismissive with them. I think both parents stormed out because they were so angry that their stuff was not available. One of the school employees voluntarily sacrificed her lunch hour just to help these folks out. She went out of her way to find and give us the only two pieces of parcels available — blouses. She apologized on behalf of the store. It was not her fault. But it meant a lot that she did. Back to Lori: I think she would be a very successful sales person someplace else that would appreciate her.
