I came here with my family, one of whom is a member and we had a lot of fun! We had a delicious dinner in the newly done dining room and wow, the waitstaff are wonderful, the food is delicious too! We browsed through the extensive library and had drinks in The South Room with cheese and crackers which were lovely. We plan on returning for Thanksgiving Dinner!

I attended a charity black tie black and white ball here and I swear I felt like I had walked onto the set of «Gossip Girl». The crowd was young, beautiful, well-heeled and impeccably dressed. The latter threw me the most because usually at these charity events, you get the guys trying to sneak in suits in lieu of tuxs or girls trying to sneak in cocktail dresses in lieu of floor-length gowns, but not here. Everyone was decked out to the nines, with hair done, jewels, custom masks, nice shoes, and just all those details that I don’t miss. Really the best looking gathering of people I had ever seen at an event. Very much prep school, UES, Waspy party with everyone well behaved despite the numerous open bars. Genteel is the word I would use to sum up the whole night. The venue itself is very much like what you would expect of a private club but with a slightly more museum-like feel(what was that, a portrait of George Washington on the wall?) with very American and colonial art it seemed and the interconnecting rooms. The place is just classy, beautiful, formal and almost, regal. The place is really ideal to host a charity event. They have a lot of space to check-in at the entrance, a big room on the first floor for the silent auction, and I think it was 6 – 7 separate rooms on the second floor and one that can house a band and dance floor.
