After passing by this spot about a 1000 times, I gave myself the opportunity to stop in… on two seperate occassions. The first time I visited, I got the veggie burger, sweet potato fries and a caramel miso shake. The veggie burger was a little, mediocre for me. I don’t believe I will try that again. But the caramel miso shake!!! Incredible!!! Im, thinking about it right now! Yummmmyyyyy… The second visit, I purchased the Vietnamese coffee shake… soooooo… «Scrumtralescant» in the words of Will Farrell. That shake had me up all night! Very tasty. I also tried their Thai ice tea. Terrible. TERRIBLE…TERRIBLE!!! After getting home and tasting it even further, I wanted to go back and get a refund. Yuck! The staff the first time around was pleasant. There was one young lady in particular who was so friendly and warm. I wish i knew her name because she should get a raise. She answered all of my questions and suggested items… very helpful. The second time around staff was just okay. Kind of like, we see you but we don’t see you. Anyway, i’m not that great of a fan of the food, or that Thai iced tea… BUT…the shakes are to me… the best thing!!!

Shoutouts to their drink selection. Some teas(though I didn’t try so they might be quite sweet) and they have Boylan’s on tap. Boylan’s Root Beer/Cream Soda is much better than your usual selection. Got their big deal which consisted of their cha siu bacon burger, some fries with sriracha mayo, and a drink. The bacon burger was OK. Pretty juicy though a bit small. I didn’t really detect a cha siu flavor, maybe they need 5 spice or some specific sauce/topping for the burger? I wouldn’t pay 7⁄8 bucks for it solely, a bit ridiculous. The fries were oily but good. Nicely crunchy/crispy. They almost reminded me of plantain chips more due to their crunchiness. The siracha mayo was OK. I wouldn’t exactly call it Siracha but there was a good amount of spice. People were nice, especially for this type of joint. The place is clean and I might go back for a shake or to try a chicken sandwich, especially if they have a special with it. It’s a bit much without it if I want a drink. 3.3, mostly for the deal.

Great new addition to Midtown. Blocks from K-Town, this burger joint infuses some of their concoctions with Asian Ingredients. It’s BOMB. Had the hot dog with bacon and spicy sichuan chili. Also had the burger with cheese and chili covered tots. General Tso’s chicken sandwich is delicious too! #noBSfood

The only reason I was inclined to write a review for this place is because I really like this place… Sometimes, that is… Because they are so inconsistent! I usually come to this spot for lunch to have a salad. I know what you’re thinking… A salad at a burger spot? Well, this is one of the only places I know where I can get some greens with chicken straight from the grill, or fried chicken breast straight from the deep fryer. At every other salad spot you only have the option to have cold, cubed chicken. Uncle Sam’s cooks your chicken on the grill, slices it, and tops your salad with it. So yummy! Or at least it used to be. Recently, they’ve been skimping on the chicken and giving me less and less. I used to be able to eat all of my greens… Each bite with a bit of chicken! Now, I don’t even make it halfway. Also, there is inconsistency with the way each staff member makes the salad. I only like the way the tall, buff, caucasian man makes it. The others don’t give the right portions of toppings. Sometimes they give wayy too much kale n little toppings or the opposite. Ugh! I am really hoping someone at Uncle Sam’s reads this review and aims to improve all the things I’m griping about… Wishful thinking, I know lol. I don’t think salads are a popular item at this spot, but hey it’s worth a shot reviewing them. I haven’t tried the burgers, but the tator tots are everything :-)… And they have great service!

I love getting their dim sum burger. Very juicy and the flavor is great. Tastes just like dimsum shumai. It’s a bit pricey though $ 10 for a burger alone without drink or anything else. Their sriracha potato chips is a kick but a tad oily. The place is clean and very new. People are nice and attentive. They seem to always be changing signage whenever I’m there or walk by. I wish they have promos so I can stop by more often!

Spacious restaurant just outside of Korea-town which embraces its theme of «East meets West». The burger I had was amazing. Pat LaFrieda meat is used at this place and the quality shows. Tots which can come plain or with a variety of toppings brings back a childhood love but gives it an adult kick. Love the free refills of Boylan sodas. For the area, the price is as expensive as other places around there but more than a standard burger place. Then again, this isn’t a standard burger place. Go with an appetite and leave with satisfaction.

McDonald’s would have been better and I eat at McDonald’s only 1 time a year! Ordered for delivery. I tipped 20% hoping to get a complete meal. No condiments when I order fries and tator tots! I am not sure if the delivery man even got my tip. American burger was sloppy and I think the lettuce was old. Oh well first and last time. I hardly ever review but I just don’t want the next person to waste their taste buds.

I was surprised because I always walk by Uncle Sam’s Burgers this time I stopped. The help is friendly and look happy they work there. The food was fresh and delicious. I was most impressed by how nice the restroom was for a fast food restaurant(that alone deserves fives stars in NYC). I love that they have Boylan soda that is made is pure sugar cane. The potato chips are home made too.

Many times I have rushed to an appointment in the area and need to grab a quick bite to eat and stop in at Uncle Sam’s. There is an Asian feel to the menu and they serve tater tots! Burgers are on the small side but tasty.

I was looking a place to try a new burguer and I’m glad I found this place. I ordered a Dim Sum with loaded fries First the burguer was really good. It has pork and shrimps. And the loaded fries with chili and cheese. The only thing I’m not giving 5 stars is because even when the place wasn’t crowded, it took a little bit more than I expected

Let’s call it what it is. Garbage fast food with an Asian-creative twist. It’s greasy, sloppy, some of it fried and laden with all the stuff you should not eat. Now for the good news. It’s yummy. It’s right there in that newish realm of better-than-McDondalds-but-not-really-proper hamburger joints. It beats Shake Shack for sure. Five Guys and Cheeseburger Cheeseburger aren’t even competition. These burgers have surprisingly well paired topping of Asian inspiration: kimchi, avocado, daikon, scallion, etc. I don’t easily fall for silly gimmicky pairings but these work well. The loaded fries and better yet the tater tots are a glutton’s delight. Hit the medicinal THC, build up that appetite and you might just believe you’re in heaven. And the side salads are delicious too! Yes, I just commented in a favorable manner regarding salads. This is finger licking good stuff but I can’t quite give the 5th star. After all, even with the disjointed too-hip décor, the unique toppings and even with the Boylan’s soda on tap… this is just cheap fast food. And it’s more expensive than cheap fast food.

That ‘USOFAMERICAUNCLESAM’ charge on your CC statement is from a burger joint, not the IRS.* I must say that the sesame miso caramel shake is one of the best I’ve had in a long time, and the fact that it’s prepared really quickly AND only sets you back $ 3 from 3−6pm(weekdays only?) makes it even better. *FYI this

Interesting unique fusion burgers with an authentic Asian influence. Great to try a new thing in NYC. The Sweet: — Variety of burgers on the menu — char siu, dim sum, korean, top dog k-town burger is a must try — galbi beef, kimchi, daikon — The loaded fries are great, with chili, scallions, pepper jack cheese. Heart attack worthy. — Condiments on every table *sriracha — burger comes to you — bolyan soda The Sour: — burger meat could be better — texture wise wasn’t a juicy burger — too pricey for a burger and fries

I had to work through lunch today and was fiending for a burger around 3pm. I looked at the options around the area and remembered Uncle Sam’s burgers were pretty good so I gave them another try. I’m pretty glad I did because their burger was pretty good and since it was after 3pm the delicious Banana Foster milkshake that I had was half-priced. Throw in my side order of tater-tots and it rounded out a pretty good late lunch. I’m not sure how long they’ve been opened now but I believe it’s less than a year. They seemed to have gotten their operation together and I was a lot more impressed this last visit than in my previous visit 3 months ago. Well, whatever it is that you guys are going better now keep at it.

Interesting place, with interesting burgers. Disclaimer: Everything is kinda salty, so you better like salt. Props for the big cup for ice water though. Prices are slightly on the high side for what you get, but nothing crazy — especially for midtown. Two people can eat comfortably for less than $ 25.00. Think of it as paying a premium for something unique. I thought the signature burger was tastey, but my friend didn’t like it that much(thinks it was the swiss). Also had the K-Town burger, which was delicious. Somehow all those things that shouldn’t be on a burger, meshes well. Highly recommend that one. The buns could use some work but nothing horrible. Loaded fries were… ehhhhhh interesting. I think they could do a better job of melting the cheese and using less salt. Chili is okay, but I’d have liked it better without the Chili and the siracha mayo on the side. I’ll have to try the shakes and chicken stuff next time.

I went for a second time and decided to go for it and try out the Dim Sum Burger. I mean honestly, where else are you going to find that? I also had to do some LSAT studying, so I chose a spot near the window where there was a plenty of sun and ordered the food. They were still doing the Backyard BBQ promotion for the free hot dog, so of course I ordered a burger and fry to have the free dog. I got the Dim Sum and the loaded fries. The food came out much quicker than it did last time and I was excited to dig in. The hot dog came with onions and I put some siriacha sauce over that baby and it tasted good(the sauce makes it less bland). The loaded fries came with scallions, siriacha mayo, pepper jack cheese, and some chili powder and good ol’ meat chili. It was good, but very heavy. I think I prefer their fries regular, but wouldn’t be opposed to ordering it again. I liked it! Now the Dim Sum burger was very interesting. That thing seriously tasted like I was eating a shumai piece, albeit it being 5x as big. I’m not so sure if I want to eat shumai in burger form again, but I think it was very true to its name and you are getting literally what you order. The soy sauce on the side that it came with was unnecessary, but did help give it an extra flavor boost(although I didn’t use all of it). I think their Double Dragon burger was much better(and bigger!). Until next time!

So the backstory to this establishment is quite interesting. I suggest googling it. Came here for lunch, was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed a very delicious burger and homemade potato chips. You choose your food and then you take a ticket and have a seat and they bring the food to you. They also offer Boylan sugar cane soda in fountain form which is pretty cool. I got a sriracha mayo dip for my chips/or my burger… Not really sure but I dipped my chips in it and it was fucking great.

Definitely not worth it. My meal came out to about $ 13 for a Uncle Sam’s Signature burger and French Fries. For a place that looks so upscale, the burgers looked like something I would get at McDonald’s. They also charge .95 for their signature sauces(tried all 4 of them and the best was sriracha and mayo). One star because the interior is nice; you definitely know that you’re not eating at a typical fast food joint. Second star because even though it looked like it wasn’t worth it, the meat was juicy. Will return to try the milkshakes; they have some unique flavors on the menu.

3 stars for a clean place, modern atmosphere, sweet potato fries tasted airy and yummy and the Cha Siu bacon burger was not too bad. The wait for my food was 16 minutes. It was the second day of opening so they do have to work out the timing but having to wait for pick ups for that long in a small section with a lot of people was super annoying. I had to keep moving around to not be in anyone’s way of getting their drink, straw and napkins. The food was good but not for $ 18 and change. The burger itself was almost $ 12. And sriracha mayo is .95?! damn. Yea I don’t think I’ll be coming back. At least I tried it. And the qty of sweet potato waffle fries was a bit small. I wonder how long this place will last for.

Trendy burger place with an Asian twist! Grand opening is next Monday, but I was invited to a friends & family pre-opening event and had a chance to sample the food and take in the ambiance. What a wonderful experience! I ordered a dim sum burger with sweet potato fries. What’s a dim sum burger, you ask? Well, instead of a beef patty and typical fixins, the burger had a breaded shrimp patty(almost like shrimp egg foo young), topped with sauteed mushrooms and green onion. An unusual combination but it worked very well! Ambiance-wise, the place is quite big for midtown, and has a clean, hip look — the lanterns on the ceiling were a nice touch. Seating is plentiful and they bring the food to you. There’s also sriracha bottles on every table — I loved mixing my own sriracha ketchup for my fries. Overall, a very promising midtown burger joint. I’ll definitely be back to try out the other unique burgers — the char siu and spicy avocado burgers come to mind!
